Hi Jeff, I enjoy all of your videos. I like using a spinning rod/reel for jerkbait fishing, what rod/reel combo do you use? Make, length, action, on the reel make/model. Looks like a 3000 reel. AL
A moderate action rod is my preference because it keeps them hooked. I use braid to fluoro leader, so there isn’t much stretch. It lets me feel bites on the pause better, but if the action was fast, I would lose more fish. Moderate helps a lot.
Not all eddys are created equal. Fish can position themselves in eddys most often when the water is high and they want to get out of the current or during times when they're lethargic or when they need current protection during times like the spawn. Eddys being productive can be hit or miss though depending on depth, shade/sunlight or bottom content. In this day, eddys that we fished with a soft bottom, we weren't as successful as the ones that hard rock bottom. But as always... the fish will tell you what they want that specific day
I am so lucky to benefit from these teachings directly through the other end of the camera! Well done as always sir!
Thanks again for helping film it Jake.
@@TheLittleStuff you know I enjoy it! my pleasure buddy
I took a chunk out of my jet boot at Hancock today😁 musky hunting. Good video 👍👍
Any musky activity before the boat damage?
@@TheLittleStuff we had 1 maybe 32" follow a hot tail glider. Boat still runs good just missing a chunk. Water is LOW an clear.

Superb content, real quality tips thanks for doing this one.
I’ll keep ‘em coming!
Deadsticking a fluke style bait is so hard to do for me, but you always show how productive it can be.
A little weight makes a huge difference. Those Z-man finesse bulletZ really do well here.
I like the way you rigged that Scented jerk shad... i will have to try that soon
It’s a year ‘round go-to!

Nice video 👍🏻
Homer, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Great vid! Are eddies good all year long? and does the size of the eddy matter?
