    Thank you so much, these are actually one of the best pair of consumer headphones I've had and being able to replace the ear cups is a game changer. Great video, I would have totally broken the top clip if I didn't watch this, thank you thank you!

      Yup. These are the first over the ears headphones I bought and only one that still hasnt broke. Went through 2 beats and the other more expensive sony one. They all broke by the ear muff joint

      Me too! I’ve had for so long bits of the covering keep malting into my ear but I don’t care as they still sound so good and work as well as the first day…but I didn’t know I could change the pads! Getting online to find now…

    Tutorial is perfect. The tool was bending so I just used it for the bottom two clips and a dull, square bottle opener on a Swiss Army knife to get the rest off.

    Mate, thank you very much for putting up this video. I recently discovered my ear pad had split and I wondered 'WTH' and if I should just sell them on cheap but your video helped me out big time and ear pad replacements are under $20!! cheers from Straya!

    Very helpful video! I didn't want to break them, but I knew they could come off. On a side note, i removed because the seam separated on the material, but before replacing, I tried mending with a few drops of fabric fusion, and it worked great, now its just like new!

    Used a bobby-pin🙊 just had to go easy so as not to scratch them but it worked perfectly well, might help someone who doesn’t have that blue stick thingy😬. Useful video thanks 🙏

      @@accessoryhouse found it through chrome search "sony wh-h900n replacement pads" and your video was first to see. It helped me a lot, since one of my pads ripped and had replacements, just didn't know if I could use them and how to take off the old ones. Thanks a lot 👍

    I love the fact that Sony made their headphones that have ear pads with clips. No glue. Having products that last long is a lacking quality. It’s like having a new pair.

    Got one right off and then the tip of the blue tool broke trying to remove the first part of the second headphone. Small screwdriver okay to use without breaking the clips?

    The speaker on the right side of my h.ear on2 is having loose connection. So i need to tape the head size adjustment to keep it steady and working. But i wanted a permanent solution. Its the only headphone that i really wanted to keep despite having the h.ear on 3. Hope you could give me some tips on how to fix it…thanks

      Unfortunately they use a plastic frame on the back to attach and other areas pads usually do not. Only option is really the pads with the frame and they normally are made to same size as originals.

      I sell the ear pads and as part of the package the tool is included. You can use a butter knife or nail file to take them off too.

      It can be removed. It is locked in place by some small plastic pieces on the back if I recall correctly. I am not sure where the replacement headband is sold though

      It comes with my replacement ear pads I sell. You can substitute a full table knife though 👍

      Yes i got replacement on eBay and it comes with sticky borders. Just be careful when you pull the old one off as there is a wire running along that part

    I have the hear on 3 and it's so difficult to get off, I can't easily see the clips like I do in your video. I'm not sure why. Also, broke it by accident while doing this.

    Thank You very much, I was able to glue my. To detach i used credit card's corner. It's pathetic how sony treat customers. Definitely my last sony product. Both pads were less than 9months.

      @@rbcrist You can try using glue but I am not sure it will last very long. Maybe using a needle and thread after gluing would help.

      Sorry, no they will not fit on the WH910N. You can search for those specific pads though and you will get them. I do not offer them at the moment but you can find them on Amazon.com

      A flathead s screwdriver that us small, I would say yes. But be care, they are sharp at the tip, could scratch the headphones or dig into the plastic.

      I have not done it myself. It's probably clipped in or stuck on with adhesive. I think you might find a replacement on ebay.com or Alibaba

      I would never be able to tell you if these were the same as the ones you initially got on the headphones. Sony would have a field day. You can see by there reviews they are well liked.

      I would just wipe them with an antibacterial wipe. If you soak them they are made with PU leather and it will ruin easy, especially if they are already used.

    Hi! What do I do if the replacement ear pads I bought don't come w the clips? Can they still be installed?

      You mean the headphones do not have the clips? The ear pads have the holes that the clips fit into. In that situation it would mean you have the wrong ear pads for your headphones and they would not fit properly. They would not be the correct shape either. Is that true?

      @@accessoryhouse i bought ear pads for my sony WH-XB900N but they didn't come with any clips. they have this stretchy memory foam material at the back instead as though they are meant to be stretched over the earcups

      @@ashishjayaprasad2562 Ahh, those are not the same as WH900N. The skirting on the back will fit into a slot around the side of the headphones. Have you removed the original ear pads?

      You can remove them similar to the WH900N but I am not sure where you will get new ear pads. I have not seen them for sale.

      They are not the same unfortunately. They detach similarly but wh900 pads won't fit wh910 and vice versa
