Yes I love having the option of both but I can say that weihrauchs are not hard on scopes at all but with every spring air rifle you need to always make sure you get a scope that is rated for a spring air rifle. I personally use 3 different brands of scopes that have been tried and true and proven themselves to me over the years which is Hawk, UTG, and centerpoints. I use all 3 and have been using all 3 brands for many many years now. thanks fo rthe comment and watching the video.
Hi buddy! A great little pearl 👌 Believe i told you before, i own two of them in .177 and i nailed the other day 8 of 10 .22lr rimfire shells again on 25 meters. One of them has the Vortek tune kit installed but that was a totally waste of money because there is hardly any difference. Not in power and not in precision. Great shooter straight out of the box. This little HW30 does easy outperform many PCP's on the market. And i'm getting tired of that power talk from many guys. If it can shoot straight trough a soup can on 30 yards it will also kill a squirrel or bunny. Great review 👍 Cheers!
Thanks for the great comment and I could not agree more I love this air rifle. And the PCP crowd just does not get it at all and they seem to think that they need all this power to shoot and take down game which just is not the case. I will take a weihrauch spring air rifle over a PCP air rifle any day of the week The reason most PC shooters talk crap about spring air rifle shooter is because they cannot shoot a spring air rifle very well so they are trying to make up for there short commings by trying to say that a pcp air rifle is better which it is definitely not when it comes to a weihrauch. Anyway always good to here from you my friend hope things are well in your neck of the world.
@@BravoBassinThe most of those PCP guys calling a HW an overpriced paper puncher can only shoot from a bank, hood from a car and use a trigger stick to show how good they are... Had some time ago an eleven year old girl here. She never shot before and it took less than ten minutes for her to learn to shoot a one centimeter group on 25 meters with my S410. Those guys must be very proud on there shooting skills 😆😆😆 I was just thinking 🤔, a PCP is like an EV. More expensive, less reliable, a pain in the ass to fill, loose it's value quick and hard to sell when used. I blow out the transfer port seal from my two years old AirArms S410 the other day. Now i understand why a bag with some spare transfer port O-rings came with it. Took me about one hour to replace it 😡Right buddy; a quality springer every day of the week......Cheers!
@@rapalaron6348 I love the EV analogy that is so spot on! lol! Yep I will always and forever be a quality springer guy over a pcp any day of the week guy.
HW30 is probably my favourite spring air rifle, small and light, easy to shoot, nice adjustable iron sights (no plastic) very high quality overall and accurate. The first one I bought makes well over 8ftlb which is enough to take small game although I use it for targets and the odd rat. For a bit more velocity try lighter pellets like RWS Meisterkugeln 14.0gr, Webley Mosquito 14.35gr, JSB Jumbo Express 14.35gr etc. I'd recommend this rifle for anyone who would appreciate an heirloom quality 'garden gun' airgun for fun hobby shooting and small pests.
thanks fo rthe great comment and ya I love the HW30s it is such an nice air rlfe to own and shoot and I agree I recommend it to anyone wanting a great air rifle. I use mine to take out pest and small game and it does a great job. And I target shoot with it a lot as well.
Yeah dude ,,dont shoot live stuff though,,ots not there power wise ,,you would not despatch anything but sparrows with this gun ,,,need a bit more power,,,rgds
@@lerosh2226 Ok So maybe you do not understand how FPE (Foot Pounds of Energy) works Because the HW30s has plenty of FPE to dispatch squirrels, Rabbits, and birds such as Doves, quail, pigeons etc: and many other small game animals with a well placed head shot at 30yds or less I know because I have done it many times. With .22 18.13 grain pellets this gun is shooting around 7.3 to 7.5 FPE and with a .177 8.4 grain pellet it puts out 7.17 to 7.18 FPE which is plenty powerful enough for small game at 30yds or less. Hell I have killed squirrels and rabbits with a crosman 760 pump air rifle back when I was a kid that was my go to squirrel and rabbit gun. I do appreciate you watching and comment on the video.
@@BravoBassin Great video ! Above you explained FPE. Any idea what the FPE would be @ the 30 yards you were shooting ? In particular with the JSB 15.89 gr. pellet. Thanks in advance ! I have the same gun in .177 and love it !
@@briancaldwell7342 The ony way can really find out what the FPE would be would shoota few pellets into a Gel block and the depth calculated with the FPS coming out of the barrel would giv eyou an idea but I suck at math and do no thave any gel blocks to shoot lol! I can say that at 30yds or less you can take a rabbit or squirrel with no problem with this Air rifle wiht a good head shot which is very easy to do with this air rifle as well. Thanks for the question and for watching the channel.
The stock screws and the 2 trigger screws I put a little red lock tight on and then snug them up so there is no play in them. Basically as tight as I can without stripping or breaking anything just good and snug. as far as the bugger pivet screws I always check but havve never had to tighten then up on any weihrauch I own. I also do the red lock tight on the stock screws and trigger guard screws on all my air rifles like this.
@ Thanks, that’s good information re the pivot screw. I snugged up the pivot screw and totally threw my .177 HW32S out of whack. If I was a girl I would have cried, seriously. 😒 After a lot of research and fine tuning I’m back to where it’s shooting 10 shots through a thumbnail size hole at 25 yards and under 1” CTC 5 shots at 50 yards is not uncommon. I learned my lesson. So glad to find your channel! I really enjoyed watching your 30 yard grouping with your HW30. Do you have the real estate for 50 yards? Would really like to see what you can do at that range. Your wife is a great shot with her R7. I just ordered my second HW. This time HW97K. Currently stuck in the mail due to Canada postal strike. 😳 what pellets work best for the R7? Sorry for the rambling.
@@IREFUSE9 No worries ask all the questions you like. My wife loves her Beeman R7 I really like it as well. She uses JSB 8.4gr pellets in her R7. Sweet gun. Great video. Just got a Gamo Varmit Power in .22 today for 110.00 on the website. It’s a great shooting gun. Thought you might be interested. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the great comment and I actually own a Gamo varmit hunter spirnger that I have had for over 10yrs now and it is a great air rifle. I will be making a video on it this year sometime. I also own a few other gamo air rifles the gamo DX and the gamo bone collector both are great air rifles as well. I have the CFX as well but do not waste your money on it as it has a ton of issues I hae made several videos about the CFX. I will tell you though once you get a Weihrauch and spend some time shoot one you will never want a budget air rifle again. But when it comes to the budget air rifles Gamo is one of my go to comapanies for sure.
So I do not have an HW99 so can't speak to if I like that one of not but between the HW50s and the HW30s I would say I like the HW30s better do to how easy the cocking effort is which is just as smooth as butter. In .22 the 35k is the best break barrel air rifle there is for the UK 12ftlb limit. I 177 it needs to be at 10/10.5ftlb for the cycle to be calm enough to enjoy!
Awesome air rifle! I like that you have the option of open sights because we all know how hard those break barrels are on scopes.
