Those arrangers - and musicians - with the Metropole Orchestra always get - and richly deserve - their own share of the spotlight. Fantastic. I have a Bob Brookmeyer CD made with them and I expected to hear some of his own great arranging. No, none, he just played and they took care of the rest.

I never got hear him in person but I could listen to his recordings all day long.
I've hit "replay" multiple times just on this piece. Once, driving alone in my car, I played it probably a half-dozen times - back to back.
Beautiful stuff ....killer playing and love the orchestral arrangement.
