    I can tell Aaron is hesitant to go into the numbers because he's afraid his audience might feel like he's making too much money off of us, but I think most of us are happy he is making that much and think he deserves every bit of it.

      A.J. Hart have you purchased his products or just hating? The hair product isn’t the best but Tiege Hanley is one of the best skin care products on the market for it’s price point. Many reviews reflect this as well

    • @cobbler88
      @cobbler88 4 ปีที่แล้ว +52

      @@garrettgrowls I don't need skin care products so I'm afraid I can't speak to those. But I used to regularly watch his vids, and some of the products he pushed - which also happened to be sponsoring the vids - I had experience with and knew they were at best average but often were inferior.
      The pimping he did for MVMT watches alone seems to have seriously impacted his cred among the portion of his viewership who were - for lack of a better term - grown-ups who knew better. As thousands of people before me have pointed out, those are horribly made watches that you can buy for $4 or less on AliExpress. It also bolstered the argument that he's fashion rather than style. Again, if you're young and want to toss good money after bad, that's not important. If you're looking for solid style advice that will stick with you, it's at least a bit of a disservice.
      He's certainly free to sell his opinions to whomever he wants, and no one's forcing anyone to watch. But as I've written before, I'm free to offer my own perspective.
      Take care.

    • @garrettgrowls
      @garrettgrowls 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      A.J. Hart Oh I see where you’re going with this now. Yes I do agree the sponsors he gets can be pretty shitty companies/products. I was only referring to the businesses Aaron owns and has control over. The MVMT watch fiasco was kind of hilarious to watch unfold as I had a feeling the company would have garbage products even before Aaron promoted them. I think he made a video explaining the whole situation and how he should’ve known better. I don’t watch Alpha’s videos anymore either but still respect the hell out of the guy. Cheers!

    I remember my credit card debt story. I’ll never forget it... I had lost my job as a teacher due to budget cuts and went back to grad school for 2 years. I racked up 20k in credit card debt for the first time in my life because I spent the same way I did with a job. I opened new cards to do balance transfers, etc. It felt like I was drowning and it scared the SHIT out of me. When I got out of grad school, I was 2 days to bankruptcy and my first check came in and I was able to pay some of the bills. It took me 3 years to pay back all the debt. I’m now debt free.

    I can speak from experience for interview appearance for a tech company. I was a contractor, but my job dealt with interacting with those candidates for the tech and sales roles. When I did the video interview, I wore business casual without a tie. When I did the in person walkthrough, I was already offered the position, but said I wanted to check it out in person first before making the decision. I wore what I call "Easter casual." White jeans, red waffle pattern henley style sweater and semi-casual Cole Haans. When I started the job though, I wore the full business casual with a tie, tie bar, shined shoes, etc. I was working as security/reception for that remote office in Seattle and so I would be the face and first person that would interact with clients and candidates. I wanted to set the tone off. When tech candidates came in they were usually in casual to dress up-casual ("Easter casual") attire. Often times I was the best dressed. What that projected though was a sense of authority even though I was the lowest on the totem pole in the office, people still came to me because I commanded that sense of authority that started with my attire. The first day they said I didn't have to dress up, but if I had dressed down, my role wouldn't be taken as seriously. When sales candidates came in for their interviews, they were business casual in their attire. Our sales managers in our office were business casual, even when they had huge sales meetings with corporate clients like AWS or Boeing in our office. Occasionally we'd have a few come in suits from San Francisco from the sales team, but that was more of a personal preference as they were way over dressed. We've even had the CFO of our global tech company come to our office and I've interacted with him and I was dressed up more than him. He was business casual without the tie, but mine was more thought out. He would come to me for authority on the facility, even though I wasn't the facility coordinator, most likely because of the presence I carried that started with my appearance. I would say in your research, find out who someone in the role you are applying for would be interacting with and dress more toward the more dressed up role you'd interact with on a semi-regular basis. Business casual seems to be the sweet spot in office interviews. Full suit is probably not necessary unless a recruiter mentions it. A tie for men though usually shows eagerness and intent without looking desperate.

    • @KBowWow75
      @KBowWow75 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Joe Cool I wasn't a security guard. I was facilities, sec ops, budget management, and reception. I don't have to explain my work to you though as I'm not looking to be employed by you, nor would I want to with your attitude and your closed mindedness. I held the respect from everyone in the office and held a sense of authority that people sought out even though I was only a contractor. When we had a fire in our building and smoke was pouring out onto our floor, people followed my instructions. Not only did I lead everyone to where they needed to be, I coordinated with our HQ and was able to lead others from other companies who sought me out because of how I was dressed, my stature, and my appearance of being in command of the situation. I'm not going to write things perfectly on youtube, because who the hell is nitpicky on TH-cam comments and who are you trying to impress? Let me be clear, when the CFO and others came up to me, they knew I would give them the information they needed and tell them what they needed to hear whether they liked the information or not. They knew they were taken care of, they didn't have to worry about it, and I was in command of the situation. There is a reason why I was the guy who put in place all of the responsibilities of the role that expanded internationally to other offices based off of the foundation I put in place that was not there prior to my role.

    @Kevin O’Leary this was one of the most if not the most fun episode i’ve watched you on Mr. Wonderful. It just goes to show that just because you are brutally honest during shark tank, often coming off (miss interpreted )as almost border line arrogant and hater. Does not mean you aren’t actually happy because one of the entrepreneurs you rejected is doing so well. The pure joy emanating from Mr. Wonderful in this episode of seeing some one he might’ve thought not to be a good investment prosper sheds some light on the famous phrase. “nothing personal, it is just business” 👍
