I've been trying for a week to find a video like this. I'm building my own guitar. Strat body, but a p90 in the neck and a Telecaster bridge, no middle pickup, and I have a 3 way switch. I have been able to get the two to work independent of each other, but the middle position I couldn't figure out. This right here is what I needed thank you! +1sub
I'm replacing my closed switch - which has failed in the neck position - with an open one like this. I already know how to wire it but figured I'd check out this video too. Thanks!
I made a wiring in a strato with 2 p90 master vol and master tone but still doesn’t working. Both caps is platina at same time independent the pósitron of switch 😕 switch problem?
I assume you mean 5 way… but anything is possible. That said… the answer is the same. It all depends on how your wire it. Maybe that will be the next video. A three way switch on a strat would likely be wired neck, middle, bridge… which is why 5 ways are used to get the blends.
@@EGWguitars No I mean 3 way, you put the lever in between the 3 way positions which you can get other PU combinations. The strat tone pot#2 will get connected to the bridge PU in which in between lever on a 3 way position switch?
I made a better and more comprehensive video a couple weeks ago. Might be better for ya.

It’s likely a wiring problem but could be the switch. If you send me some good pics of your wiring I can take a look
EGE GUITARS, when using a 3 way strat switch if you put the selector in between positions which strats tone pot#1 and tone pot#2 get selected?

@@waynegram8907 yeah at that point it’s all how you wire it. Nearly infinite combinations.
@@EGWguitars older vintage strats were 3 way switch, if you put the lever between bridge + middle would it activate both tone pot#1 and tone pot#2?
@@waynegram8907 interesting! I didn’t realize! I guess I don’t get to play too many vintage strats. I’ll go check it out!
