Oh, wow, I was listening to some Blonde Redhead on Spotify (in preparation for their concert in Amsterdam the day after tomorrow), when this song came around. I didn't know that this version existed, so I was really surprised to hear another than Amedeo's voice. As a long-time Japan and Sylvian-'fan' I like it, but the original is better.
Believe me I love the original but this version is just so very hard to compete with even w/o the cinematic masterpiece that apparently I have to someday see

You are right. Change the speed to .75 and, whilst by no means perfect, it give you an idea of how close this could have been.
