Same here, mate! My dad passed away when I was 21, now I'm 25 and I always think about this! I wish I was older enough to give him grandchildren, but I wasn't... at least I hope he see them from up there
This makes me think of seeing my 72 year old dad working out with strength bands. I asked him why he was doing it and he told me "so I can push your mom up the ramps without any effort". He knew that she would try to do it herself if she thought he might get hurt.
It was similar with my dad when my mom was alive. He started lifting not only because of an old back injury, but also in case mom fell or if she needed to be carried as she had gotten more frail from lifelong sickness. And don't think mom didn't notice! The one day I was talking with mom in the living room when dad walked in the house to get a drink of water. Mom made a little motion towards him and whispered "get a good look at your dad." I did and I noticed that he lost a bit of the small gut pooch he had and put on more muscle in his upper chest and arms! He looked almost as good as he did in his mid-30s! Here he was in his late 60s! I looked back at mom and whispered "damn, he's looking good!" Mom's eyes were sparkling and she had a cat-like grin as she whispered back "I KNOW! I can't believe I'm married to that!" They were married for 47 years when she passed on.
My grandfather from my mother's side passed away almost three years before I was born. The other one from my father's side was sick and wouldn't be able to talk to me, or play with me. He also passed away, I think when I was 7-8 years old. I never had a chance to know the people they were, never could show them who I was. I'm told they were respectful, hard-working and kind-hearted men who always put family first. Today, watching this commercial, I'm thinking of them. I hope they're thinking of me - wherever they might be.

I am. Kettlebeller and at the age of almost 79 still swing those bells and improving weights all the time. Just the simple stuff of lifting, swinging, snatches and squats do keep a body lithe and strong.
I'm a 69 year ol woman and still go to the gym to lift weights, not much, 60 pounds on the rowing machine and about 50 on arm lifts, but my legs are strong 190 pounds 3 times 12 repetitions. not much... but I like to brag a bit.
Powerful add, just nails everything in a journey where we work towards our goals and there is only one person who can make it happen, ourselves. The grandfather goes through the shame of working out, he wants to give up and faces the man in the mirror and goes to work. Supporters and doubters look on, he works when people are looking and he works in isolation. Focused. When he lifts his granddaughter up and hold her out, it makes me swell with pride for him and his journey. I think I felt the way his daughter did when I first watched it at the realisation of his why he did it. It's not always about winning championships or crossing finish lines. Thanks for posting an amazing video.
I've competed and been lucky enough to win physical trophies in sports and arts. The way I see it, he won the big championship in his family of being the best grandfather ever. The sight and memory created of his daughter's and grand daughter's smiles as a collective was the trophy. Makes me want to never stop strength training so I can have fun with my grandkids.

Best ad I’ve seen. Thought about this ad and looked it up. It may of been years ago and I forgot the company until now. But I remembered the commercial and now I’ll always remember it was with kettlebell
I love that it shows the process over the course of several months 😌. Real success takes time. If your progress comes fast it's not going to last. Especially when talking about health and fitness. Stay committed and even tiny changes add up over time. This is very motivational. Rn I'm insecure and train completely covered but one day I'll feel proud enough to take off my hoodie in the gym 🏋️♂️.
This is not a commercial about lifting a kettle all. It’s about lifting up and encouraging those we love. And that should include those outside our tight little circles.
