“You neve know how strong u are until being strong is your only choice”. I said the same thing once. “My story, did anything good come from it? Not really. But I learned a few things about myself I’m very hard to kill. Winston Churchill once said success consists of going from failure to failure w/o loss of enthusiasm”.... Molly Bloom. & he also said my personal favorite... “when your going thru hell, KEEP GOING!” It does not matter how slow u go, so long as u do not stop! It’s the ones that give up, the ones who kill themselves bc they just can’t face the only thing we’ve been given to face, life. It’s the only thing we’re told not to fail at yet ultimately it’s the one guarantee we all WILL fail at. All u can do is wait it out till ur numbers called. We don’t get to cut that line tho, that’s the biggest failure of all, cutting the line.

15:25. I know shes there cause she broke the law, but shes one of millions of examples of how the US justice system lost the war on drugs before they began by going after and incarcerating addicts rather than giving them treatment. The treatment we offer is wholly insufficient in the opinion of every addiction professional in the field. 7 day detox, 7 day rehab then they either discharge you or maybe if youre lucky, they'll find maybe a halfway house. Ostracising people exacerbates a persons addictions SMFH it's really heart breaking.

Sgt Mcpherson making excuses for her former colleague helping that inmate escape is laughable. Pender didn't prey on Spitler's emotional state and the fact that he had problems at home is inconsequential. He was greedy, saw a way to make money illegally - sexual favours, aiding in the smuggling in of contraband - and took it. These were not the one time mistakes of some naive prison guard. He was caught and became an inmate himself..... defending his actions is shameful for any CO [incl. the lieutenant interviewed later on]. As for solitary confinement, this type of punishment for extended periods has been recognized as torture and does nothing to rehabilitate inmates. Pender is remarkably lucid for someone who's been in solitary for five + years. Is the Indiana Dept of Corrections embarrassed about her case? Yeah, and they should be.

Why do they have addicts mixed up with actual criminals? In nordic countries addicts dont get locked up in prison unless they've been selling high amounts of drugs. Here they go to detox and forced rehab instead, which is not in prison but in a mental asylum. After the withdrawals are over and rehabilitation is in full swing, they get released, even provided a government owned apartment for cheaper rent, provided they stay clean. Addicts can commit themselves to rehab if they feel like they need help.

110 years for legally purchasing a firearm is gross injustice. The firearm did not kill these two people. The shooter killed these people and if not for a firearm he could have used a knife. Sarah Pender deserves jail time but not for murder.

You could see the excitement go from a 6 when talking about getting out, to a 10 when she talked about what she did. Not to mention how proud she was of herself. Talking about "yeeeeahhh, 😁ummm I was like, 13😁😁😁 when I started 😁😁 ummm, beating people up and robbing them😁"

Nor is it a choice. It is a disease. To anyone who will say that it is a choice…yes, it was a choice at first, but it sadly turned into a disease. I wish in America instead of prison because they are an addict; I wish they would put them in rehab. Now yes, if they commit a crime they should go to jail, but obviously that’s for everyone who commits a crime. Some addicts are on things that you can’t just make them quit cold Turkey. They will need some rehab to prevent serious harm and sometimes even death, and then start their time when they are rehabilitated.

U can almost see this manipulation hamster hop on its wheel in Sara’s mind when he begins to get into her victims having families. I am just in shock on how brave this guy is, i think the one i like the most is the mom wanting nothing more than to have her child away from that kinda life, and the one i hate the most is the mother that killed her own baby. Like WTF is wrong with someone that would do something that cruel & evil to a harmless child brought into this world. That is the most evilest task you could do to someone so innocent. It just disgust me and makes me think maybe that person doesn't deserve to live for going through with what she did. This is why we need to teach the younger generation what happens and where you will go if you act or do criminal acts to someone else. Nobody should want that life EVER !!!!! Everyone should want a life where you can be free and walk with god/ Jesues Christ beside you always, going down the right path always !

6:40, I can get so pissed off about this reasoning. How can, in a relationship where *he* has all the power, he be the victim? Lets look at this from a more likely angle: She took advantage of the situation wherein an officer -the one with absolute power, had sex with an inmate, -the one with no power and no certainty if there are consequences to rejecting him. Problems at home or not, he should have kept his pants on.
