I do tell a lot of my members the same about their hospital limits, sadly some of them still only have around 150k hospital limit and because they don't want to listen about hiding they keep getting zeroed... But well can't help stupid I guess.. my hospital is about 350k by the way, on one of my Alts even over 400k.
Ressources are also something most don't have to worry about as I will do my best to help them with all the farms I have.. I have seen some of them who definitely spent on RSS but most people (luckily) just ask me for help.
But about keeping the best troops home, I wouldn't advise that, well yes keep a strong march home but Not the angels. Angels are key and hard to get back.. just needs 2 SOS 'n' slaughter and you lost like 30k angels. That hurts bad time
Another mistake I can think of is cleaning farms with more than one march, the enemy will see 2 or 3 marches retuning, hits you after one, the other return during battle and poof, all troops are dead because 3 marched definitely get you over cap.
Another one is to send out marches/troops to tiles and go offline, many people have been caught on the tiles and had instant losses because they were "attacking" (tile trap)
What if I didn't know the troop strategy at the beginning, and I already have a bunch of archers and mages. Can I run them both? What's a doable mix starting at 30% infantry. I'm C22. Thanks.

Pick one and focus it now. If you run a bunch of each you will just be terrible.
