This scene is amongst the best acting Ive seen for this context of being heartbroken because a relationship doesnt work out. It reminds me of me having to say goodbye to someone special and being so upset I couldnt speak, just iike Warren. He is still the one that I always remember. Love this film so much

This is a deserved end for two people who betrayed ... When your feelings for someone end, end the relationship and start a clean relationship without hurting the other person's feelings ... At least he won't feel stupid or he's an imperfect person, at least you'll avoid feeling remorse if you're really a human being, knowing that cheaters don't have humanity .... 💔
Experience here! I left a relationship i mean i guested my partner whom i actually had a good relationship with and i chose a situationship over it but i ended up being left broken and in love! My point is that if you leave a relationship for another you’ll will never have a happy ending

Agreed. They should have ended their relationships instead of sneaking around and betraying them and themselves for being committed to their significant others. Instead it’s like they just pretended that their boyfriends didn’t exist.
In a similar manner, I’d say that Mark stayed with Richard and Warren stayed with John amidst their affair for the same reason out of loyalty even though they both broke that; Warren because John helped him find his passion for playing football again after he injured himself and couldn’t play for some time; Mark because his life was with Richard but there was indication of issues between them imo. Still doesn’t excuse Mark’s affair with Warren.
Warren wanted to end it with John here, but I don’t understand why John didn’t end it with him or even take some frustration out on him as well as Mark, obviously because he didn’t know Mark well enough except for having an affair with his boyfriend; Warren also had an affair on and betrayed him and yet John stayed with him like he had no self-respect.

Отличный фильм, посмотрела с удовольствием. Многие сожалеют, что мужчины расстались. На мой взгляд всё логично. Да, они были увлечены друг другом, но вот расстаться со своими партнёрами не решились, в большей мере это касается Уоррена, Марк, на мой взгляд, был готов к переменам в своей жизни. Когда Джон ударил Марка, Уоррен промолчал , а Марк ожидал поддержки. Думаю, что этот случай и был последней точкой в их отношениях. И мучается Уоррен, и плачет, а решительности ему не хватает почему-то. Я на стороне Марка, он решил, что нужно идти дальше и это, на мой взгляд, правильно. Нужно сказать, что Ричард повёл себя в этой ситуации очень достойно,хоть и отношения у мужчин были номинальными. Фильм классный, обязательно посмотрю ещё раз.

I didn't like that Mark's companion had never been to one of Mark's rugby matches before, taking Mark for granted. Though Warren had an intense breakdown when Mark rejected him, I don't think Warren was truly in love with Mark, in that he didn't come to Mark's aid when their affair was exposed.

Warren, malgre ses airs de macho dominant n'est qu'un faible et un lache, incapable de tendre la main a Mark, a terre, apres avoir ete frappe par ce personnage insignifiant qu'est John, qui finit par etre en couple avec un paume alcoolique.Pour echapper a cette relation toxique, Mark, malgre son innocence, sa naivete et sa faiblesse, comprend que les fausses promesses et le sexe intense ne constituent pas, a eux seuls, les bases d'une relation durable et fidele. Il marche vers son destin et sort de la soumission et de la dependance a Warren qui est aussi paume que son ex.

Can someone explain to me how you can say "I didn't mean to hurt you" when you cheat on your partner multiple times ? Cheating takes time, energy, logistics, it's completely an effort so how are you going to so that and say this ?
When a person apologizes like that, it’s because they don’t know how to word it better. Someone who cheats doesn’t do it to intentionally hurt another person, they do it for selfish reasons. People who cheat want to fulfill something they feel is missing, so they don’t breakup with they significant other because their thought process is if they could have it all then they are happy. Remember cheaters only think about themselves.

I was biased towards this movie, I admit. But I had to change my mind a lot. The actors were good and convincing and I admit that the relationship between Mark and Warren made me feel very involved, I didn't expect it. It was also exciting for how the feeling of cohesion in a rugby team was represented. I have always looked at this beautiful sport with such admiration and this film managed to represent it in the most correct way possible, in all its beauty without any need to mythologize it.
I wasn't expecting to see Garreth from Hollyoaks in the end there!

Yes yes cheating is bad and happy endings are perhaps not deserved. But to go through so much effort, to conceal this relationship, have it revealed and ultimately not at least try to make it work is very bizarre.
It’s Marcus conscious and humanity that made him not want to continue doing something that hurt a man he truly loved. He knew if Warren left John to be with him, Marcus wouldn’t be able to be happy knowing all the hurt he already caused.

But how John didn’t blame Warren and didn’t break up with him ?! And why warren didn’t end it with John even if he’s not going back to Mark since he was willing already to do it (late) but anyways he knew now he loves Mark not John
Exactly, I wonder the same thing every time that after punching out Mark at the New Year’s party, how John didn’t take any frustrations out on Warren too or even break up with him is a mystery.
He probably blamed Mark more because he didn’t know him well enough and not as anyone more than the guy who had an affair with his boyfriend.
But Warren is the one who instigated things with Mark, and yeah even though Mark said no to Warren, how could he have not left John instead of staying with him when Warren might end up doing the same thing all over again with someone else?
On another note, why Warren stayed with John is actually revealed earlier in the film after Warren takes Mark to the fair; he explains that he’s with John out of gratitude and loyalty because when Warren injured himself and wasn’t fit to play for a year, he almost took a turn for the worse but John was there for him and helped him get through it and find his passion and want to play again. That’s why Warren stayed with John, but John could have done with some self-respect because Warren cheated on him, but they’d probably been together for some time which might be why he also stayed.
