- 307ci Oldsmobile V8 - The starter started the car but at first I had some battery issues. Once the engine fired over I parked the car out back to get all of the dust off of it, it looks plenty better now
For long term storage, you might want to consider a battery disconnect switch and a trickle charger such as the battery tender or a similar unit. I finally replaced the last battery on my 1977 Electra after it was nine years old, because I just didn't trust it anymore. It still was working fine. It helps the alternator a lot too. There are many show n' shine type of products to take care of those water spots, but I usually don't worry about such things unless I'm going to a judged show. I do have mud flaps on my Electra to avoid the mud after wash problem, but many people don't like them. You do have a really nice car, and your videos prove you take really good care of it. These old cars are rolling pieces of history, and should be preserved for future generations.
This is when GM had great designs and I like that color along with those wire wheel covers. It makes the car have style and look like a classic.
That is a b-e-a-utiful Park Ave...take good care of it....I'm especially ' diggin' that beautiful burgundy color.!!

It loved that style Electra. My grandparents had a new one. Such a solid dependable luxury sedan. They drove it for 7 years. Wish I could have been able to get it.

HELP ME. I have a 1982 Buick LeSabre and it needs some serious work I could have the engine rebuilt but instead I want to get the Chevy 350 diesel engine swap. What I want to know is where would I be able to work on it like are there places where I could take it to work on it myself /are there places I could store it?
350 chevy diesel? chevy never made a 350 diesel. olds did. is your car a v6 or v8. if its a v8 it will be a olds 307 you can swap any olds later engine in direct swap. 330 350 400 or 455 olds are idea or even the 403. if its a v6 its a buick 3.8. you can swap in a later buick engine. 350 400 430 455 buick is a simple swap also a 300 or 340 would but 300 is not going being much more of a power house than the 307 or 3.8. olds also made a 260 which was weaker than water lol.
beautiful 83 Buick Electra u have there bud! all complete ! even has all the filler panels on both bumpers like brand new, every Buick or caddy u will see are gone or has a hole in it... I don't know why GM did this for these cars to have filler panels.. :/
I have the SAME year Buick & triple burgandy color as yours.. :) u have the same am FM cassette radio I had in my car.. mine was totally messed up! stations & numbers were going haywire for no reason & cassette player was shot as well.. I junked it..glad I got rid of it.. yes , the radio was that BAD, guys....
gotten a NICE clean am FM cassette radio from a 87 caddy Fleetwood at the junkyard, works 100%! same fitment.. just a different radio that has the open square face.. not like the old style yours has with the l&r wheel knobs ... nice video showing us your beautiful ride... these cars ride just like a 60s caddy with the weight it has!
I just got an '83 Buick Park Ave just like this, it doesn't have as many specialties in it, but it's a nice car nonetheless. It's a light brown though.
I've never seen such an abundance of interior woodgrain in my life . Lol
The other car identical to this one is the oldsmobile nintyeight Regency
Basically just a nice as a Cadillac.

Have you thought of placing a 6.2 diesel in the car. This car is very nice.

i had a 83 lesabre loved the thing ex wife made me sell it.
Any detail person , worth his/ her salt would be able to remove the spots off of the finish....if not, I could do that for you.
