এই গানটা আমার জীবনে একটা বিশেষ অংশ জুড়ে আছে। যবে থেকে আপনার কন্ঠে শুনেছি। আমি ঘুরতে খুব ভালোবাসি। আমি ভারতে থাকি। সারা ভারত সারা বছর ঘুরি। আর ভারতের একেকটা প্রদেশে একেক ভাষা একেক পোশাক, খাবার আলাদা, ভাষা আলাদা। এই গানটা আমার সঙ্গী হয়ে গেছে যেখানেই যাই।

৩৫ বছর আগে সুবিনয় রায়ের কণ্ঠে প্রথম শুনেছিলাম। তারপর প্রিয় এই গানটি অনেকের গলায়‌ই শুনেছি। কিন্তু লিসার মতো কেউই নয়।
প্রসঙ্গত, এমনকি সুবিনয়‌ও স্বরলিপির নির্দেশ অমান্য করে গানটি শেষ করেছিলেন প্রথম পঙক্তির "বাহিরে"-তে। লিসা স্বরলিপিকে মান্যতা দিয়ে সঠিকভাবেই শেষ করেছেন "নাহি রে"-তে।
