Nice job in the end (which is all that really counts) 👍 For a future note when welding, an even hiss to crackle ratio is easiest way to tune your welder by ear
I wondered if anyone would pick it up, finding a happy medium with it getting a good weld and not shutting the Clipsal of every 3 seconds was quite difficult.
I guess the weight gain wasn't an issue.. left side could've been a direct shot into turbo flange.. u going to brace it back to the block to reduce vibration out there.. plumb it up n give it a whizz..👍
To make driver and passenger exhaust more even in length instead of having a really long one one side and a really short one the other side. It makes it distribute exhaust gases more evenly, And it looks better than having it go straight to it.
Mate what was the distance made on the braket for VY boster to one tonner? Video you said 30mm was that including the plates. Any information would be appreciated thanks
It probably needs a flex joint between banks mate. Expansion and contraction. Also probably should watch whole video before commenting. Good to know I was spot on though 😅
Lots of reasons why I used it. I’m poor so couldn’t do it in 304, and I can’t tig. It’s strong, resilient, retains heat well and for an amateur welding like me it’s fairly user friendly.
Hahaha, just got to you realising it’s in a v band and can swivel 😂. I was just thinking can’t it swivel to suit, then next thing you realised. It’s something I would do😂😂
Legend!!! Getting it done, having a laugh. Really enjoyed it Jake
Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻

Why does the left exhaust do a big loop to the turbo instead of going straight to it?

Asking out of ignorance: would driving the turbo off only one bank not have worked?
I doubt it would work
Bloody well done Jake mean set up for a 308 bring it on again , cheers , shaneo, Nelson, NZ, 👍🍺
Cheers Shaneo 👍🏻

2mm plate either end.
Why use S80 S40 pipe would have been fine mate
It is schedule 40
We've all been there I've had a Feck me it swivels moment😂😂 nice workaround but with the flex joint.
Long days and long nights the brain gets away from you aha

Ahah your all good mate 👍🏻
Wow schedule 10 pipe for exhaust! Seems a bit heavy. Any reason why you didn't use tube instead? Not being critical, just curious. Nice work.

It happens to the best of us 😅
Looks good mate. Made me laugh a few times. The wagon looks nice too.
What does that need to be finished?
Lots of small jobs just to make sure it’s a ok for the road. There’ll be a video on it no doubt 👍🏻
Seems legit to me....
Nothing to see here, move along. Fing overloading circuit.... Fark...
