We're so happy to hear that! 🧡 This is such an amazing place, as it is right below one of the most visited squares of Rome and not many people are aware of what's below!
We also do small group tours that include this museum, let us know if you want to join next time you'll be here 😊 You can get in touch on livevirtualguide.com or on whatsapp +39 06 86357 877

Thank you for this; I never knew this is available. I have been in Rome, and Piazza Navona on quite a few occasions. Next time this is on the list.

This is so brilliant, teaching us about these hidden gems. The next time Scotland play Italy in rugby all this is on my itinerary

I asked my architecture prof why the street level was so much higher now in Rome than it was in the days of the Empire and his answer to me was "the dust of the ages." That was a satisfactory answer, although I still had trouble imagining all of that accumulation over 2000 years. Truly amazing.

The Tiber River floods most years.... and after the decline of Rome....there was no one left to clean up the debris....so it built up year after year until it was 20 feet high.
Now the Tiber is controlled by channel walls...so, why didn't they build channel walls in Roman times?

@@pigdroppings A more plausible scenario. Thanks for your comment.
