- Erron Black is a mercenary gunslinger from Earthrealm in the service of Kotal Kahn, and a former associate of the Black Dragon until Kano's betrayal. He was hired by Shang Tsung 150 years ago to murder an Earthrealm warrior in exchange for magic that would slow his aging process. Although he resides in Outworld, Erron was born and raised in 19th century Texas and, as such, has many Old West mannerisms and makes frequent use of cowboy idioms.

I loved this character, I dislike that he's held down because of the plot. The bit of lore we have of him tells otherwise but then again, mk game's plot fucks him up lol

Erron Black is honestly one of the cooler new characters. Something about a cowboy doing his thing Outworld just seems pretty cool about him. That or I’m biased cause he’s a cowboy
You would also think Erron would start to have second thoughts when he didn’t see his current self helping the bad guys. Also the fact he was no where to be seen during the colosseum fight with Kitana and Shao Khan is a missed opportunity

Taking their steps into it as their hands slowly lower to their revolvers.
Winds picking up as the noise of chaos gets lost in it's waves of air, their eyes narrowing with each and every moment.
Until finally the draw, both these legendary gunslingers already have the hammer pulled back as the sights are lined in as they pull the trigger.
Because of Mortal Kombat this can go one of three ways, the bullets collide with each blast.
One gets hit as the other gets grazed due to armor and angling of body, then witness the other fall and possibly pass over the damage.
Or both get hit and take a fall dealing with a newly placed hole by themselves.
Funnily enough, only one would be aiming for a killshot, whilst the other is aiming to disable.
But knowing Erron Black, he's smart enough to know drawing against yourself knowing it could off him and his younger self.
He'd find a means to trick and immobilize his past self temporarily.

I was just thinking erron was pretty useless and pointless but even I was surprised to see his screen time consisted of around 18 minutes. OVER 2 GAMES EVEN! AND DLC!!! LOL.
They really didn't do much with him. His present self didn't even appear untill the dlc.
That first time kitana's army marched in, I didn't even notice Erron was there, I noticed him the second time in the dlc but I thought it might be a different cinematic.

Ik that there's 2 erron blacks in the timeline and always thought that the 2nd (future erron) was just missing but no he's actually seen in the story Wich sucks cuz why didn't they show a bit more of the two on screen
I actually like quick time events, keeps my screen from going dark lol, which happened a few times in these games. There basically interactive movies so why not.

It's sad that such a cool character like him doesn't have any chapters and unfortunately he's just a jobber. I love the game but I'm kinda tired of playing same characters in the story mode. Storywise the game needs a breath of fresh air. They should make characters like Erron, Ermac more than just jobbers.
