  • Starfield's lighting system is as spectacular, if not more, than Skyrim's! You can have nighttime storms that don't let you see a foot in front of your nose, or you can have spectacular sunrises on any planet, while hunting its fauna. Therefore, the landscape is not always as beautiful as the one seen here, as in real life not every day and place offers us spectacular landscapes. But when that happens, you take advantage of every available moment. Preferably in the company of a sweet face!
And don't be fooled! I don't use mods that change the landscape to be more beautiful. What you see here is the vanilla landscape, with the original textures. The only mods you see here are Andreja's clothes and body and the game's menu system.
Oh, and before you ask, my character is a hunter of alien creatures.
NOTE: The second part of this video is here ( • Starfield is a Beautif... ), but it is only for adult, at its has nudity.
This was filmed in 4K, with all settings at maximum (I don't use DLSS), using Nvidia Experience, and these scenes are on the planet Khayyam II. The graphics card is an RTX 4090, the CPU is an Intel i7-12700K and the memories are 32GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz, CL16.
    Have fun!

Great video and don't let the comments bother you, remember haters will always be the loudest, that doesn't mean they are the majority.
It's so funny how some people come to Starfield videos just to complain about it in the comments 😆 how sad can you be to live your life on hate.

I'm always waiting to catch a real hater in the comments and then make fun of them. I know it's ugly to do this, but I can't resist.😇

No doubt that Starfield is a beautiful game even if its a little outdated with the engines and rendering, Also the lacklustre attempt at making settlements feel alive and lived in probably also the fact that everything feel placed down like a Indi game asset flip, Graphics might be 5-6 years out of date too. Only thing I wish, Just wish the game did not perform the way it does. I mean, Cyberpunk with Psyco Ray Tracing Ultra Settings 35 to 40 FPS, but Starfield on ultra at 21 to 35 FPS just does not add up. Other then that, Game does truly have character looking past its short comings. I truly feel that the developers did put a lot of love into the game, But corporations change over time and Xbox is probably not making it easy on them to keep their passion. What a missed opportunity to have another Game of the Year Award.

      @letsplayskyrimle9391  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

With what configuration and at what resolution can you get 35 at 40FPS in Cyberpunk with the game with Psyco Ray Tracing Ultra Settings? I have an RTX 4090 and an i7-12700K and from what I remember, the last time I tried the game (I play at 4K), I couldn't get that many FPS. In fact, it was because I couldn't get FPS above 45 with ray tracing on ultra and all settings at maximum, that I put off playing Cyberpunk as soon as it was released (at the time I had an RTX 3090). When the RTX 4090 came out, I thought that now I was going to play Cyberpunk and CD Projekt, with the damn partnership with Nvidia, screwed up the game's performance again just to force the player to use DLSS. That's why I put off playing this game again.
As for Starfield, check out the other videos on my channel. In several of these videos I show Starfield at 4K and even 8K, without DLSS (native!) and in some parts of the game I even get FPS above 30 at 8K! I generally play this game at 4K, with the settings at maximum (I don't use DLSS), as you see in this video, and my frames are between around 70 and 120, the maximum Hz that my monitor allows (I use V-Sync is always active and I have an LG 42C3 as a monitor).
As for Starfield's graphics being outdated, that's a very long conversation! Inside the ships and outposts, the level of detail beats any current game I know. But this subject is for a video that I plan to make in the future, who knows when...

@@letsplayskyrimle9391 RTX 3060: Ultra Settings Psycho Raytracing with DLSS Balanced 1080p on Cyberpunk gives me nearly 35-40 FPS in the most demanding parts of the game and 50-60 FPS in less demanding areas. In Starfield, I get around 20 FPS max in the busiest towns on Ultra, and up to 40-50 FPS in less demanding areas. On empty planets, it can go up to 130 FPS.
You might have used Path Tracing on Cyberpunk instead of Ray Tracing, since a 4090 at 4K can get well above 70 FPS with Psycho Raytracing. Path Tracing significantly reduces performance, even on a 4090.
As someone who creates my own game projects with various engines, it's clear that Starfield is not optimized as well as it should be. I've noticed unnecessary rendering of objects behind walls and rocks, and entire cells loading even when not in view. The game has performance issues. Even without high graphical settings like in Cyberpunk and the lack of Ray Tracing, this game theoretically should run well above 90 FPS with a 3060.
The comparison is stark: Starfield has less post-processing and fewer Engine software graphical enhancements, yet it performs like a game with graphics comparable to Cyberpunk, which isn't right.
The game engine is a crucial factor in performance, and it seems the lack of LOD management in Starfield is a significant issue. There appear to be only three levels of LOD for assets, and assets not in the player's field of vision are not unloaded. There are games from 2017 that look much better and perform better with larger worlds. Starfield isn't particularly large-it's a collection of small worlds connected by cells, unlike true open-world games.
Starfield is a beautiful game with a lot of potential, but it falls short compared to the dedication seen in titles like Skyrim, Daggerfall, and Fallout. There are unnecessary buildings with no purpose, unfinished areas and back alleys with flat textures, a lack of clutter and decoration in towns, and wide open spaces with little to nothing in between. The game has many empty areas. Given this, it should perform better. Many people don’t play it because they don't own a 4070 and don't want to play on medium settings. The game was designed for ultra settings, and the medium settings were not polished enough to look good.
The motto of the story is that Starfield by Fact, Is not optimised properly, and it takes only 85% of the players to confirm that it just does not make since why it does not perform like it looks. Game looks great, but has issues. And i can only hope that madders will fix the performance and empty and useless spaces that was left unloved by Bethesda.

I wish they’d release the creation kit. It’s sad how dead this game is. Even on nexus barely any new mods a being made weekly. With 100 hours in game time I can’t touch this game anymore .

They will not release the Creation Kit until they release the DLC and its patches. But yes, the Creation Kit is a fundamental piece for making more mods. What could be done with mods without the Creation Kit has almost all been done.
And look, 100 hours was the turning point in this game for me! If you haven't done the main mission yet (don't do it in a hurry, as that's a big mistake that a lot of people make), find out why the Earth has become uninhabitable. For me, discovering this was the biggest revelation of the game! You have to read all the notes and listen to all the recordings that exist to be found. Yes, Starfield is not for gamers in a hurry. For these, my advice is to play other games that are full of immediate spikes in adrenaline and serotonin and return to Sarfield when they are more mature. Starfield is a game made by mature people for mature people.
And I'm sorry if my opinion offends you, but I say what I think, not what others think for me.

Horizon Forbidden West, Gof of Wars, the last two Tomb Raider games and especially the games in the Doom series have fantastic graphics. But you cannot interact with the objects in the scenarios (except for half a dozen of them) and the scenarios are designed to have very few draw calls, so these games are very well optimized on the CPU and also on the graphics card. But a well-trained eye quickly notices that almost all the elements that make up a game scenario are as if glued together and cannot be moved, which gives a feeling of a static and lifeless scenario.
In Bethesda's RPGs this game optimization technique is not used and that is why the scenarios in these games seem to be made up of individual elements and we have the feeling of being real, as we know that we can interact with many objects. This is also why Bethesda's RPGs are very CPU heavy, as they are loaded with thousands of draw calls! I show this in one of the initial videos of this little gaming channel, with Skyrim. Skyrim, when it was released, was the terror of CPUs, especially AMD CPUs (these were always weak in games with a lot of draw calls), something that many new players, who now give prayers to Skyrim and speak badly of Starfield, didn't know.
What a lot of people also don't know is that the reason why it's "easy" (I've already made some mods for Skyrim and I know how much work it takes!) to make mods for Bethesda's RPGs is precisely because they have a lot of draw calls. You can change just one object (a draw call) in the scenario, without needing to change the entire scenario, because that object is "glued" to it, so that the game is optimized in terms of the number of draw calls.
The fact that a game has many draw calls means that the same game also has limitations in the graphical detail of its objects. This can be seen in some elements of Starfield's external environments, such as the trees. But when you go inside outposts or spaceships, the graphic richness of this game is something fantastic, something I haven't seen in any other game yet! This is also why it is in the interiors that Sarfield sometimes has less FPS than in some exterior scenes set on planet surfaces, which may seem like a lot of eye candy, like the one seen in this video, but which in reality have much less draw calls than those that exist inside an outpost or a ship. This is also why there are loading screens when you enter the interior of ships or outposts located on the surfaces of planets that already have many draw calls. Likewise, this is also why (but not only!) this game is very heavy on Xbox!
As for Cyberpunk 2077 (I only have 10 hours of play, if that) and The Witcher 3 (I have around 400 hours in this game), which are very good games, I will talk about these games in another message.
How do I know all this about draw calls in Bethesda RPGs? I have around 4400 hours in Skyrim, so I had the opportunity to learn how this game works and understand how it compares in its design to other games from other publishers. The notion that Bethesda's RPG game engines are dated is something that does not correspond to the truth and only demonstrates that whoever makes these comments does not know what they are talking about or is lying! The "problem" is that Bethesda's RPGs use a type of engine that allows things to be done that in other games the respective publishers (and not all of them!) are only now slowly trying to do. CD Projekt Red is one of these publishers.

what this video showed is exactly the same thing you do on every single planet or moon. no variance, whatsoever. and if you tried to do it on a thousand planets, you would lose your sanity by the fiftieth. the game is boring. the main quest could have been so much better, but wasn't. the ending sucked. new game plus sucked. and they lost their players before they could even release the creation kit or any dlc's. the game is not even listed on steam's top 100 sales chart or top 100 played games chart. all this after years and years of hype. microsoft will never see a profit on the purchase of zenimax--not unless they can find a way to release elder scrolls and fallout games with the same frequency that ubisoft releases assassin creed games.

      @hosseldonfearanen4775 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

If they release with the same frequency of Assassin's Creed they're going to be bankrupt in a few years. These games were never meant to be consumed like a long movie just to move on to the next product in line. They just don't have the same target audience of Assassin's creed. If that's what you're hoping for just go look elsewhere. I'm really tired of people bitching about Fallout not being CoD or Tes not being Assassin's Creed. They're not meant to be the same. People have different taste in videogames, so videogames might be different from your taste. Move on like an adult.

@riverrat3101 Is that your opinion or the opinion that they convinced you?
Sorry for my provocation, but I've seen a lot of criticism of this game that is unfair and some are even false!
Exploring planets is one of the things I love doing most in this game, which has already taken me 659 hours. As far as I remember, it was on this planet that I first saw some of the alien creatures seen in this video, such as those giant spiders with luminous palps and small crocodile-like lizards. That landscape with mountains in the distance was also the first time I saw it and in a future video I will show me reaching one of those mountains and climbing it.
All games have repetitive elements. All! In Skyrim, where I have 4449 hours of play (only in the LE version!) you will kill bandits or collect any object in the same caves and no one complains about it. In Starfield, people complain that, after a while, the outposts are always the same, just on different planets. Well, I have some "bad" news for the haters! This happens if you are always visiting the same planets. Choose planets at random and you will see that some have different outposts and some even unique (there are at least one outpost shaped like the sphinx!).
And this game isn't just about exploring. There are also missions to do and some of them are memorable (like the one where you walk through two universes simultaneously). There's ship building, which I don't care for at all, but which is great for a lot of people (who, in turn, ignore the rest of the game). There is also outpost construction, which some say is spectacular, but that is something I haven't gotten into yet and can't comment on.
This game is very good! It's perfect? No, there are no perfect games. Will everyone like this game? Neither, as I also don't like games that a lot of people like (Baldur's Gate 3 is one of them).
Interestingly, 8 months after its launch, this game continues to be talked about, even by haters. I wonder why?

@@RichardRoberts-iy7fx Yes, that would be a possibility for the main story. In fact, I'm looking forward to seeing what mods will be made with more quests and missions for this game, because I confess that I was hoping there would be more quests (and yes, I know there will be DLC coming out).
But I liked the main quest, even though at first I was quite skeptical about it and didn't understand why it existed. And I liked it precisely because of something that practically no one talks about - discovering the reason why the Earth became uninhabitable. This part of the game, which happens when you go to the Moon and then to the NASA installations on Earth, were for me the highlight of the game and I regret that Bethesda did not promote it as the main reason to playing this game, discovering how and why that happened. The problem is that you only discover this if you read all the information available and there are many players who, in their rush to do NG+, ignore the "boring" part of looking for clues and then complain that they didn't understand the reason for the main quest and that it is boring. And some of these "players" wrote official reviews!!!
As for the multiverse becoming Bethesda's way of implementing NG+ in this game, I think it was a smart way to do it, especially since you later have the option of not repeating the main quest (that was my decision). For me, Bethesda shouldn't have implemented NG+, but they didn't have the courage to go against the new rule that other studios are implementing in their games. Skyrim and Fallout 4 don't have NG+ and no one complains about it.
I think that the richness of Starfield, as with other Bethesda RPGs, is not the main quest, but rather the set of all the quests and small missions. The quest I liked the most (and I'm not the only one) was the UC one. Its twist is very well implemented and not something forced and without logic, as happens nowadays with many games and TV series, just because a twist in the story has become the norm since the film The Sixth Sense was released.
