How does your machine sound so clear and quiet?

@@vrtk4870 is that the secret? So, how do you get it to sound loud later? Just normalizing? I've tried a bunch of different methods, still haven't found anything consistent.

@@orbixmusic that’s what I do when passing any audio through my 424. it’s either keeping the source audio at a healthy level or adjusting the faders before recording to a level that isn’t hissing or distorted. It took me a while to find my sweet spots depending on what I’m trying to achieve but I almost never have any noticeable artifacts that aren’t intended because of proper gain staging.
