Tempo = Dotted quarter note 60-76
    As listed on www.tmea.org/b...
    Errata:
    None at this time.
    Performance Guide:
This short but demanding piece requires much discipline to play correctly. The students who win the top spots will make every note speak with a consistent sound, airflow and articulation; tonguing and slurring.
It’s tempting to play these notes quite short, but I recommend to keep playing these notes long with very clear attacks. Tongue normally, letting the air flow from note to note with no breaks. As you work the tempo faster, the staccato should happen naturally and you will still have a clear sound on every note. It is important that you don’t stop the air between notes at performance tempo- it will only make the piece more difficult to play.
Shape the phrases of running sixteenth-notes with dynamics. Not only will this make the piece more pleasing to listen to, but it can also help you make it to the next available breathing spot by careful use of decrescendo and crescendo. You will notice that very few dynamics are marked, so there is a lot of room for interpretation. The last 14 measures are very difficult to get through in one breath, so try to place a breath in a way that fits into the phrasing without leaving out any notes and without drastically disrupting the flow.

This is about 65 BPM. TMEA requires between 60 and 76. Hope this helps!
