Yes! I’m sort of on that camp as well However, they are making small enough numbers to meet the demands of their audience So maybe not misreading the market as a whole as much as focusing on a particular nitch audience
Hey, thank you! And you are right; I felt, at minimum, the music was louder than it needed to be I'll be paying more attention to that in the following video Thank you for the constructive criticism 🍺🍔
Thank you for the comprehensive and thorough review. I always loved the GS birch dial; nice to see another watch taking inspiration but with an original twist. If I can offer a suggestion, lose the music while you're talking. I find it distracts from what you're saying.
Hey Kevin! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Point taken about the music: to be honest, after doing all the work, I did feel like, at minimum, that music was too loud… but sometimes I choose “done “ over “perfect,” hoping to take what I learned into the next one, so believe me I'll pay more attention the music next time 💪🏼 I am grateful for your comment and your very constructive criticism You rock, man 🍺🍔
Yes!!! Lume is not a highlight of this watch, to be honest, and I have struggled to record good Lume shots before As I was doing this review, I purchased a UV flashlight. Man, these lights supercharge the lume! I should be able to do better lume shots from now on. With all that's said, the Lume in This watch is like a 5/10 😆 Thank you for the comments and the suggestions It really helps me improve the channel! you rock 🍺🍔
Hopefully, I can review the Munro at some point. It seems like a gorgeous watch at a phenomenal price, I would love to see a SW200 in there instead of the Nine Series Miyota, but the Miyota movement is pretty phenomenal
Thanks! Did you check my review of the CW C63 Dragonfly blue GMT? I just got back in touch with the CW folks. I'm hoping to have more of their watches on for review in the future By the way, if you are down with the gray market, the Mido Ocean Star 600 chronometer (cost) is 1200 on Joma I reviewed the black DLC version, and oh boy, there's no better value 😎
Yeah, I agree, It's why I mentioned some of the other brands I To justify the watch at 1200, you need to be looking for this exact watch Otherwise, a Tissot Gentleman might offer better value Thanks for commenting 🍔🍺
In Nomadic's defence, it's hard to make a watch that isn't a homage to Rolex in at least some parts - Rolex is so well established and influential that if you ask anyone to draw a picture of a watch, chances are it'll look Rolex-esque. Also, as a Brit, it's nice to see another UK watch brand getting out there - my dream is to see a revival of great British watchmaking like it was in the 1800s, with a host of top watchmakers and with movements and parts once again made in the UK. That being said, this Nomadic is not quite there yet. The fit and finishing of the case and bracelet look good, if not spectacular, but I think it's the little details that let them down. Things like the hands, for example. When you look at another British microbrand, Alkin, and the way their handsets and markers work so coherently together on their Model 3, the Nomadic lags way behind. Also the price is ridiculous - yes, it's a Swiss movement and so costs more than the Alkin's Miyota, but it's not even regulated or nicely decorated. If Nomadic can get these things sorted and reduce the price somewhat, they might be able to carve out a great niche for themselves in an already very crowded market. If not, I suspect they'll be yet another microbrand flash in the pan. My fingers are crossed for them.
I agree with you I tried to be as fair and honest as possible in my reviews, and the design cues don't bother me Then, if you are going to borrow, borrow from the best lol I think Nomadic has lots of potential. I love what they are doing, but at the current RRP, theres are a lot of optjons which are next to impossible not to describe qs also being better options Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts 🍺🍔

Yeah, unless you are absolutely in love with this, every single choice made by my nomadic 1200 is a bit of a none starter For example, I just noticed that Jomashio has the Ocean Star 600 cost on sale for 1190 stainless steel and black DLC Those watches are insane value I reviewed the black dlc a few months ago th-cam.com/video/hprk_i5A22A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Uv-bxSJjY1bM2W_m
I wish them well however they may be misreading the market. A piece like this from a brand new company with sw200 should be under 1k

Nice piece.
Gotta say, the music is a little out of place... thought I had another vid running in a different tab for a minute!

Good, solid review. I would have liked to see a lume review overnight (I.E. how well does it hold up a few hours later).

Excellent review. The competition at that price level kills this.
Yeah
There are a lot of choices
I just saw the Mido ocean star 600 cosc on Joma for 1200 that's an awesome value!
The Clemence Munro at £575, blows this out the water for price, bracelet and movement.
Thanks for the heads up!
I'll check this watch out immediately!!!

Good video. I’m not sure that this watch is even worth $600.
A solid $1200 watch would be the latest Christopher Ward Dartmouth.

Nice but gives one more reason to look at brands such as the likes of Sinn etc

@neilmartin7776 yes and that's still Ireland the clue is in the name

CW C65 Dune Bronze COSC would be my choice
Yes!
That's a good watch
And the bronze COSC combo makes it a unique offering!
Thank you so much for your comment
Too much you can get something much cooler for way less its nice but not for that price.

They are out of their mind with that price. Should have slapped a miyota 9xxx in here, and sold em for $500
Or added a cost grade movement, but I agree the Miyota 9 series is an excellent movment!,
What a beautiful watch.😮🤩Good helpful information!🐚⏱️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️thank you so much my son I’m so proud of you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
1200 USD?!?! WTF?
You are not alone 😆
