There was plenty of water available but Songkran seems to get longer and longer, so it’s no surprise there’s a shortage of water. They ought to keep Songkran to just one weekend 👍
All the money spent on drains in pattaya over the last 10 years still got flooding really somethings wrong there

you need drains with the width and height of a double decker bus, to take away the volume of water... that's what most countries in the west have..... but Thailand??

The whole drainage issue should be controlled by a group of engineers from a European source as they have some idea of what needs to be done .

I am not so sure it is insufficient drains but more drains that get clogged with all the crap that everyone just throws on the ground. There is ZERO cleaning or care here if it is 1m past your threshold

Storm drains and pipes probably need to be cleaned. Drainage was working pretty well late last year.
That is a good point. I think garbage, soils etc accumulate over long dry stretches when they don't get washed out by occasional rains.

The huge pipes they put along beach road were over 50%full when they installed them .
I.e. they were below sea level .

Needed six minimum centrifugal pumps fitted that are activated by float switches and force water into the sea .
thats not a factor as the pumps put pressure on the water and being at the level they are is the highest they should be, ideally maybe out further into the bay too

@@michaelwilson8443 Thai New Year should be held in designated "ZONED AREAS" for those who like assaulting people with water guns and water buckets all over the city while walking, and also while using PUBLIC transportation to go to their jobs, hospitals, pay bills, grocery shopping etc. Most places that have these ridiculous rambunctious holidays such as "Running with the Bulls" and "Throwing Tomatoes at each other" are held in zoning areas and not on every stinking soi and road.
