Craig, this was one of my favorite vlogs from you so far. I've been watching for a month or two and I was drawn to you because your entire approach is so unique. No bothering with camera gear, but also you don't just treat it like a tutorial. I think you're the best teacher of light, composition, and location on TH-cam. I normally hate vlogs, but something about your style, your content, your personality and your unabashed silliness just keeps me watching. Thank you.
@@e6Vlogs It bummed me out when I found out you weren't in America. Probably safer for you in the UK, though. Fewer rattlesnakes to worry about. :) You should, if you get the chance, explore the southwest USA. There is a lot worth seeing.
Sometimes its nice to just see the dials and buttons being pressed, and the scenery with no commentary at all, just the sounds of nature and the click of the shutter, very relaxing.
a true photog; he does not emphasize on camera gear, but on light and composition; also, good use of filters not rubbish shadow recovery an educated man, a joy for photography community stay healthy and creative!
Petru B. : talking about camera gear, in this vain, some youtubers can be as fun and entertaining as Craig here. For this "holy" night of Christmas eve. Peter Gregg, a tender hearted retired photographer who loves gossips around camera gear, has just released a beautiful interpretation of "O holy night". 3 min of grace with a well detailed description of the technical video and audio chains he used for. Enjoy. th-cam.com/video/U2ZYRSz6LMY/w-d-xo.html
You have an incredible knack for seeing a photograph before you've even taken it. If I had a tenth of your skill I would be a very happy man. Amazing video (again). Thank you for sharing.
ILove how you can make a landscape shot in the middle of the day i.e not sunset, sunrise etc. This really apeals to me as an amateur, it can be very difficult fitting in photgraphy around a full time job. Thanks for all of the expert advice you have given so far. I look foward to part 2 and all the future videos in 2018. Good luck and God bless.
Always look forward to your latest videos Craig and they never disappoint. Your composition is a real inspiration. You've really re-awakened a passion in photography for me so a huge personal thank you. This latest video reminds me of my local Dartmoor.
Loved the video and beautiful images. The use of themes is such a great idea that I might have to try it myself. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
Done the A66 so many times, it's wonderful. Happy Christmas and I know you'll have a great New Year. Thank you so much for being a truly amazing part of my life! Albeit by video :)
Great idea for a photo trip and a great vlog. As I drive over to the Lakes tomorrow I shall look out with a different perspective. All the best for 2018 (and more great vlogs!).
This is by far my favourite channel. The images are stunning, great description of composition and lighting, and what it means to be in particular a landscape photographer. Not just getting up for sunrise and sunset but finding locations and capturing scenes that are different and unique. Looking forward to your next video as always. Merry xmas and thanks for the inspiration :-)
Great stuff Craig, as always! Each time amazed at the compositions you extract from a scene. Love your dry sense of humor as well. Make your vlogs all the more fun to watch. Wondering if you still do a lot of post-processing even though you use the filters? O and happy new year of course!
Thanks again Craig for another great video. If I may, however: in previous videos, on your stills, you have included the settings, which while they will of course all vary according to the light and conditions, I have found it interesting and helpful to see how you combine your various grad filters in your photos.
Thanks for sharing Craig on Christmas morning in Tasmania, so for the first time you've gave me a white Christmas, be it from a distance. Seasons greatings to you and family and looking forward to part 2......Peter.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family Craig, as always you have produced another inspirational masterpiece please, please keep this going in 2018
Craig, you are simply the best, and your videos are a joy to watch. I learn something new every time. BUT your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car; you can be arrested in Arizona on Route 66 for that :) Please keep up the great work and best wishes for a Happy & Prosperous New Year.
Very enjoyable vlog Craig. Im travelling to visit relatives in Middlesborough on Tuesday and will look to get to Infinity Bridge. Based on your own experience, is there a recommended side to shoot from for sunset.
Great video, great music, great images, particularly the ones of Infinity bridge lit up. Hope you have a great Christmas, Craig and I'll say a Happy New Year in case you don't post another before the end of the year. :)
You can't go very far on Route 66 here in the States any more - it was decommissioned about 50 years ago. We did, however, manage to take it pretty all the way across Oklahoma. It is much more scenic than its replacement.
Hi Craig, I was going to have a ramble and go on about which photo’s I i like but some one just put a scotch in front of me so I’m not... Merry Christmas to you and your’s and I hope to see plenty more vlogs in 2018 take care.🖖

Well, I can't ask for more from that review! Thanks.

The snow covered rocks and trees are absolutely stunning, some of your best work I think. Cheers and thanks for sharing your work.

So brilliant. Compositions that never stop surprising me!
Stunning image of the Infinity Bridges, and I love the second picture of the second tree!
One of your best vlogs. Can't wait for part two.

What a nice journey you had, well done.
Great treat for Christmas Eve, never fails to bring a smile to my face and the photography is second to none.
Pure Gold Vlog Craig. You have the midas touch with photography.
Thanks for showing and enjoy your Christmas.
Awesome image of the night shot of the btidge.

superb pics. happy holidays
Thank you for all your 2017 vblogs. Happy 2018 to you and your family.
Great video and I really liked the night shots at the (Destiny?) bridge
well done, Craig.
superb video... ive driven the a66 many times ... its often a tough route with awful weather but Ive seen some very dramatic scenes because of it...
Have a great Christmas, wonderful video.
Great idea for a photo trip and a great vlog. As I drive over to the Lakes tomorrow I shall look out with a different perspective. All the best for 2018 (and more great vlogs!).
The "other Route 66" was a nice change. Both those bridges were pretty neat from an engineering standpoint as much as photographic. Merry Christmas.

Not just getting up for sunrise and sunset but finding locations and capturing scenes that are different and unique. Looking forward to your next video as always. A66 know it well. Well some of it. Great vlog as usual, keep up the good work. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Great stuff Craig, as always! Each time amazed at the compositions you extract from a scene. Love your dry sense of humor as well. Make your vlogs all the more fun to watch.
Wondering if you still do a lot of post-processing even though you use the filters?
O and happy new year of course!
Merry Christmas and thanks for doing what you do, it has helped me to be more inspired in my photo treks. Cheers . . .
Learn SO MUCH each vlog Craig. Happy Xmas. Best for a healthy, prosperous and safe 2018.

Those settings will return Wayne. I think some images are just best shown in their own right and the exposure settings are irrelevant
Very good! Merry Christmas!
Well done Craig. Merry Christmas to you and the family.
Thanks for sharing Craig on Christmas morning in Tasmania, so for the first time you've gave me a white Christmas, be it from a distance.
Seasons greatings to you and family and looking forward to part 2......Peter.
Craig’s videos are brilliant..... I really need to get a Olympus em5 ii in my life to replace my Sony RX100V.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family Craig, as always you have produced another inspirational masterpiece please, please keep this going in 2018
Kevin Pritchard merry Christmas and a great new year!
Oh, this vlog is actually about photography. Keep it up ! Great content to get away from T.Heaton fairy-tails ;)
Merry Christmas Craig.
Great shots

It worked, you fooled me. As usual, seeing the light and how to use it with good composition. I keep working that.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks for all the videos this year. May 2018 be a great year for you and yours.
Great stuff, I thoroughly enjoy you vlogs 👍🏻✌🏻📸
Very nice and plenty of great shots. Just missing the settings informtions!
Sometimes the settings are irrelevant. You'll never be able to use them with your own shots.
Wonderful pictures. You see amazing photos where I can't. Practice I suppose. Still, can I borrow your eyes for a few years ?
very nice,!!
Very enjoyable vlog Craig. Im travelling to visit relatives in Middlesborough on Tuesday and will look to get to Infinity Bridge. Based on your own experience, is there a recommended side to shoot from for sunset.
I shot from the south side. but if you want to shoot into a sunset, at this time of year, I guess north side would be better
I love Infinity Bridge!
Great video, great music, great images, particularly the ones of Infinity bridge lit up. Hope you have a great Christmas, Craig and I'll say a Happy New Year in case you don't post another before the end of the year. :)
Ho Ho Ho. My route 66 is the National Cycle Route round Derby. May be even less glamorous. Happy Christmas

Fantastic comparison with the before and after editing. Do you use HDR at all as the shots seem to jump out of the screen? Very nice indeed.
Heavens, NO!
In a previous video you mentioned that you would review the Lee medium grads. Did you ever get round to it?
Yes, planning on talking about them, plus, some other new filters in an upcoming vlog I'm shooting over New Year
could have started in Staithes, the most beautiful and photogenic fishing village there is
76CzarekP then that would have been Route 66 + A171 + some ‘B’’ roads. Not as catchy a title!
Hmm.. I would say central Britain, not Northern Britain... ;-)
It's a bit half and half really isn't it!
