Great video! I own a Blue Mediterranean Montegrappa and loved to see you highlight it. I really enjoyed your insight on why the new 1930’s material usage are changing. All the best!
It was with your code that I purchased the Montegrappa Extra Custom in shiny circles with the same piston nob stile you have there on the desk. Love it and love the silver elements. Looks like everyone (Montblanc/Montegrappa) are moving away from silver elements. My collection are primarily fountain pens with silver elements, love it, and now they become more collectible ❤
Beautiful assortment. Finally have one of your selected pieces. But my 1930 celluloid is in turtle brown. Keep it up. You almost get me to jump in my car and go to purchase another fountain pen which I don’t badly need but my blood rushes me into this madness.
I am currently obsessed with yellow, so I would go for the Sailor. I look at ti this way, if you are going to have fun with fountain pens you may as well add to the fun with colorful ones. All but one of my current pens is colorful and they get noticed.
The montegrappa looks awesome. To have the opportunity writing with this nice pens must be great. It must be a pleasure to make customers happy. I would like to have a shop like yours close to my place…… but the risk of spending too much money would be high😂
definitely give me the Sailor every time!(agree with you about the new minimalist nib pattern: I’ve got two Pro Gears, one with the original nib, the other has the new nib - both write perfectly but the original is prettier!:); thanks for this:)
Celluloid is a material that was produced mainly up until 20 years ago and needs to be stored in a safe place for at least 10 years until all gas go out from the material, as it's a highly inflamable material. What makes celluloid so beautiful and special is the depth and colors of the material that can hardly be achieved with resin.
I like the color of Caran d'Ache the most, but the grip section of many Caran d'Ache pens are far too narrow for my taste and sections made of metal are not for me.
I wish I had the King of Pens Urushi, I only have the standard ebonite version. I already have the Montblanc Olympic, I love it but have never used it before (to me, its more of a museum piece for my collection). Btw, do you still have any of the Sailor Iro Miyabi, in any color (They are all fantastic)? I am looking to buy one. If you don't have it, I will try to look somewhere else but I would like to ask you first.
The ebonite is amazing too. i love it. Yes, i have the Iro Miyabi available in Sand, Blue and Red right now. Get in touch with us on info@styleofzug.com so we can help you get a piece.
Which piece is your favorite from this Video?
The Scribo is so vibrant! It’s a tie between the Scribo and my all time favorite Montegrappa Extra(I have it in red)!

Can you explain what is celluloid pen? How it is different from other matherials like ebonite and plastic !
Celluloid is a material that was produced mainly up until 20 years ago and needs to be stored in a safe place for at least 10 years until all gas go out from the material, as it's a highly inflamable material. What’s top 5 expensive pen u have in ur collection or ur shop ?
I did a video about my whole collection on my channel 🙏🏼
