Thanks for showing in detail. I've been wanting to go there, but I can't do that much stairs. I see now there is an elevator to Pikes Place so I know I can do it now!
I went to Seattle for the Metallica concert and saw the waterfront for the first time since the highway was torn down and was blown away by how much open and inviting it has become. That was also the weekend I had to step over a pile of human crap for the first time.
Great video. The new Overlook Walk is an amazing project - something that many other cities could only wish they could pull off as well. And what is with so many commenters' obsession with homeless people? If you are that concerned, there are many ways that you can provide assistance - which would be much more productive than whining about it.
It's pretty all decorated for Christmas but, there's so many homeless people living on the streets in Seattle it takes away from the beauty of the city. And not only that it's not always safe to be walking down the streets of Seattle. I know I've been there myself and it's not safe to park ur car in some areas either.
@@jordivarela7160 your first sentence makes no sense also no this final product was not worth 800 mill, I can give my opinion even if I was living in Issaquah or on the other side of the state
@@alarachel It gives less weight to your opinion because like mentioned above it came from a local district tax and it’s for a place that you are unlikely to frequent. From the footage, you can see that thousands visit the area and it’s thriving. Seems worth it to me.

Yep, unfortunately that’s Seattle 😔
I really enjoy the new park, I see so many locals and visitors enjoying the view. Happy to see the use of native plants in the garden design ❤
The park looks even better in person
It is really great down there I am hoping they can keep the unsavory characters out of there. Fingers crossed!
Fingers crossed 🤞. Thanks for watching 🙏 and please subscribe if you haven’t already.
My fingers are crossed also.
🤞 🙏
Seattle did well for itself with this project. Looking forward to seeing it next summer.
Yep, it is impressive and once they are 💯 done with the whole project it will look even better 👍

They should have put a bike ramp in.. Or a Zipline! 😂😂😂
I asked the mayor about that, and he’s asking for your donation (just yours) for the project 😂
@@beyondtheskylines1 What's he need a Mil?😉😂😂
@@SeattleBMXer Nope He's greedy, so probably 10 mil 🤣
Why did you turn right and SKIP THE MERRY GO ROUND??? Would have been a perfect end...😢😢😢
I got another video on that, thanks for watching 👍
Merry go round is at Westlake Mall.
@@kallasusort2986 Nope there isn't one this year. But there is one in the Pier- back left, you can see it in the last few seconds of the video.👍

Agreed and that's unfortunate. Thanks for watching 🙏❤
So much prettier without the ugly viaduct in your face!
True that 👍
It still wasn’t worth the $800 mill I along with the rest of Washington taxpayers paid for it. They could have done a lot more
Thanks for watching 👍
The bulk of the funding comes from the Local Improvement District tax assessed to property owners in the city's West Edge/Waterfront area.
Maybe like all three of you lol. I bet you live out in the suburbs with no connection to Seattle. Don't act like you're in the majority.
