I'm tired of hoarding Key points: - make a plane, make it really thin on the y axis then stretch it to infinity on the x axis - select the long edges, ctrl+e, make freestyle edges - array modifier, have a billion instances with the only offset in the y axis - text or a curve, extrude it over the plane - boolean modifier on the plane, intersect the extruded text - mess around with the plane, don't ask me how, idk either - enable freestyle (because scanimate = scanlines = equal "width" i guess) - do some compositing stuff to make it look okay - go nuts i know my last attempt sucked don't go rub it in i'm sure this one sucks too but probably a little less
under view layer properties -> freestyle line set you should also change the visibility to qi range and set end to a pretty high value which i forgot to do here it'll make it so that all the lines are visible which should be closer to what scanimate does
is there any way when you make a tutorial video of how to make a scanimate thingy? it's because i just wanted to put my logo does a scanimate thingy like them how they make scanimate in blender, tbh

you can actually do scanimate emulations with digital animations apps like adobe or flipaclip, but it requieres more effort and a FPS ai changer
