Getting one of a lad tomorrow here in Ireland so thanks for your helpful video I'm going to using it for pike and other fish all so maybe put a deck on it to but anyways thanks again🎣👊🙂
This is the only video I've found of someone putting a mud motor on one of these boats. I've considered buying one of these boats and pairing it with a 6.5 mud motor. How do you like that boat with the mud motor?
It was one of the best things I ever did bro! Only issue is over time the transom will get worn out because it is plastic at the end of the day. My advice is to beef up the transom as much as you can for longer durability. Other than that I had no issues! 👍🎣
It surprisingly pretty stable. Now I will say it’s not the most stable boat I’ve been in but you won’t have to worry about it flipping over as long as you’re not in rough waters. And even the water will just get in the boat but less likely to capsize. Standing in it could be a little tricky but it’s something you will have to get used to. But just to be in the safe side I would always recommend a life jacket in the boat at all times lol.
@@PFDTV strangely can't find any vids with that exact motor even though it and the boat are both sold at tractor supply. Scanning your vids currently for upgrade ideas. Really itching to get this boat.
When you bought your boat did they give you any kind of paperwork there at the store that allows you to register it? I bought a 8 foot sundolphin a few years ago....it did not come with the proper paperwork and LWDF would not allow me to register it because I didn't have the paperwork the boat was supposed to come with. Love your videos [ especially the Hackberry ones!!]
Thanks a lot man! And yes. I bought the sundolphin from academy and it should come with the paperwork. Sometimes it’s already attached to the boat. Bill of sale and registration I believe. 👍
may be to late to help you. Hopefully you already got this handled. I was able to go to their website and get a certificate of origin. Our DMV in Indiana accepted that.
@@ststock27Oh yea? I probably should have done that. Been 3 years now since I bought it, but it can't hurt to try. I don't even go out in that boat anymore out of fear of a game warden giving me a ticket. Thanks for reaching out to me!! I'll let you know what happens.
@@ststock27ha, just bought a sun dolphin pro 110 from a personal seller and he didn’t have a title. Just had a cop come by to do the check and he said we didn’t have a HIN so he couldn’t do it but the bmv the one that told us what to do. Anyway I’m in Indiana as well. Hoping it works out
Nice video man. I’m from Louisiana as well. Is it true that you don’t need a boating license if the motor is under 10hp? Any courses required or anything? Thanks!
Mane that’s nice to know bruh. I’m thinking about getting a set up like this & there is a river off of siegan & highland I saw some guys come through one of these in & it seemed perfect for the water ways.
At first I had an issue with the motor prop, it kept cavitating at full throttle. Ended up switching to the 2 bladed prop with the prop adapter and that solved the cavitation issues and also ran a lot smoother at full throttle. Once u dial in the motor, I was going about 12-15 mph with gear. With 2 people and gear u looking at 7-10 mph. No stability issues so far. I will say with 2 people it can be a little tricky if y’all are not coordinated
It’s a harbor freight predator 6.5 hp engine. And not at all, it only cost me about 150 bucks from the store. U can probably order it for a cheaper price on line. The kit from mudskipper.com cost me around $550. So all together u looking at right around 650-700$ for both. 👍
Cool from Baton Rouge
reminds my of a friend years ago, his oil light stayed on, so he put tape on , it went out after awhile
Seen another video where it was said those mud skippers work better with a two prop instead of the 3
Can’t be scared of the 🕷,you got it👍🏿🔥
What's your top speed

@@PFDTV Any ideas on how to beef up the transom? Like, could I use 2x4s or something?
What size prop you running?
Start the engine with the prop in the water it needs water in it to run properly
That's a lawnmower engine.
How did you attach the prop to the motor?
15 or 20 inch shaft length on the outboard??? thanks
I wanna say 15inch 🎣👍
Any transom issues with the mudskipper on the voat? Thanks for sharing.
Not at all. As long as I’ve had it so far I have no issues. 🎣👍
Hey! How stable is it? Would you recommend it for someone who doesn’t know how to swim? Can I fall out easily?

Think imma get this exact boat but with a Coleman 5hp outboard. Love me some boats!.... Haven't gotten the hang of fishing yet though lol
Go for it man! It’s gonna fly with that 5hp outboard. 👍👍🎣🎣

Does this boat come with drain plugs?
Yes it does. It actually comes with 2 drain plugs. One for the inside of the boat and one for the actual hull of the boat. 👍
