      Hello. Thanks for your reply. I have seen a of your videos but on the linear potentiometer it does not say the closed lenght and the travel lenght as haltech have quite a few options and for the e46 I dont know what to order lenght wise close and open . Because you had one mounted on the e46 maybe you could give me some advice on the 2 aspecte. Thank you

    Think they will sell a ton of the dipsticks if priced well. Everyone has been complaining about the electronic dipsticks for a couple of decades now. Only on issue is a simple way to code out the electronic dipstick, if this could be done with a dongle and take next to no IT literacy then it would remove the main barrier to purchase.

    I'd really like to here how the simulated clutch works/is tuned in the trans. Are the solenoids PWM, are you actuating transmission clutches with the converter clutch locked, actuating both, line pressure control, shift strategies with the converter locked or unlocked, etc? I'd love to hear the nitty gritty details for how it functions from a technical standpoint and what kind of power you can put through the trans on boosted launches and "clutch kicks" without blowing through the clutches or having significant wear over time.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no way to sugar coat this. We dont know lol. From a user standpoint all you can control in the correlation between pedal potion and percentage of clutch the TCU sees. We have no idea what stageries are in place in the tcu to make it all work. However as you will see in the next video. It feels like a real manual clutch.

      Man, i couldnt believe how they did this with basic scrap haha. The belleville should work, but getting the right ones to work with this partcular master and slave cylinder will be tricky. The adjustability on the valve spring was an eye opener.

    • @maxgr7723
      @maxgr7723 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because he wants it to look like an oem inside the car. Id say as of right now, youll peobably need to only produce the additional stuff to the n54 cylinder and thats a dealkeeper for a lot of people. You can give them a list of needed oem things plus this thing there and bam it works. Otherwise as you mentioned, youd be in need to produce a complete activation mechanism...

  • @BEAMERNOOB

    Was thinking about all the little aspects involved with my swap and actually thought about the oil level sensor. Was thinking I’d need to read via obd. Would be interested in the dipstick for sure. I’d like to see a version that retains the electronic dip stick as well. I realize moving the e dipstick down would cause it to read lower. Possibly a different sensor that has a taller level sensor? A quick looks shows that part number covers A LOT of different bmws. My second idea would be to modify the “tune” for a different range what it considers full and empty.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There has been some work dont on a version that retains the original sensor. However it is a much more bulk part, moving the original sensor over to the side and maintaining the same level. Its been shelved for now, but may look in to it, if the interest is there.

    • @BEAMERNOOB

    every n54 needs a oilpangasket anyway so why not built one directly in the pan so you can have both the dipstick and the sensor, and do the sump pans on exchange basis.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brock was working on a design that incorporates the factory sensor as well. It’s a little more bulky than this but not too bad. Main reason no to do the full sump version is the cost of posting a sump. It would be redic.

    Thanks for the videos, there isn't much content on these swaps in english. Looking to do an awd hp95 swap on my project 3000gt. I remember you mentioning turbolamik connects to can bus, is that just bmw canbus or would it work with aftermarket ecus namely Haltech? Also do you know if turbolamik can shut off the transfercase for the front wheels? Cheers!

      The lamik can work with a lot of canbus versions, actually it just needs définitions. And if you followed the video you saw last video that they did not setup can correctly but initially it would have been there for the haltech. A lot of people using maxxecu etc...about the transfercase...if I remember right that it has some xdrive things or they are working on it. Otherwise there are other solutions out there for this too!
