Actually he started in BTS and was offered the part while in BTS. They killed his character because he couldn’t keep up with both schedules and had to give up on. But yes, he has acted in the past.
I knew this mv was going to be excellent, but I didn't expect it to move we all like this. The tenderness (almost innocence?) between them was so disarming. And then the hopelessness of it all... I was so immersed that I could feel their fear and despair.. V and IU's acting and chemistry are so excellent. I loved the fact that Taehyung was not the stereotypical fearless male lead. That man was terrified (he acted it so well!!) and that made everything, including his moment of bravery, feel even more real.
I found it a very Cinematic MV, everything was in it, A Thriller, wholesome romance, beautiful voice, great music, Director did such a wonderful job bringing it all together, cast with beautiful visuals and acting talents, so good you’re pulled into their lives and story. While they are trying to hide in this abondonned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of confort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and push them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. The cube represents society’s oppression against disables and imperfect people. Its aim is to rid the world of them. In the video, Taehyungs character can’t see in one eye…the blue one and IU is deaf and mute, which is why she is using sign language. The pictures, while taken in the same poses as they were seem a bit different like they represent their actual wedding. In the end the cube destroys them, but their love brought them through the worst and they were together to the end and their souls are now free and together. I can’t watch the video without crying, especially with the tears they drop out of the same eye.

I view this as social commentary in South Korea where young people aren’t getting married and having children because abuse the economy and social pressures (the cube) are destroying them. Notice they see their love through the old school camcorder that represents an easier time for young lovers. They still love but can’t do it in the traditional way their parents did.

Para otras personas, el cubo representa la discriminación que el mundo hace a todos los que son diferentes por una discapacidad o lo que sea, por eso IU parece ser sorda y V ciego del ojo derecho y a través de la cámara se ven como se perciben el uno al otro por el amor que se tienen. The cube represents society’s oppression against disables and imperfect people. Its aim is to rid the world of them. In the video, Taehyungs character can’t see in one eye…the blue one and IU is deaf and mute, which is why she is using sign language. The pictures, while taken in the same poses as they were seem a bit different like they represent their actual wedding. In the end the cube destroys them, but their love brought them through the worst and they were together to the end and their souls are now free and together. I can’t watch the video without crying, especially with the tears they drop out of the same eye.

I view this as social commentary in South Korea where young people aren’t getting married and having children because abuse the economy and social pressures (the cube) are destroying them. Notice they see their love through the old school camcorder that represents an easier time for young lovers. They still love but can’t do it in the traditional way their parents did.
