Terrific work- The parallels of the lighting and scenery with the music are really perfectly set. Excellent flying- I trust your setup allowed you to see a bit clearer than the imagery of the camera.
4:02 - this hut / house is covered pretty good with snow! nice longrange vid - nice to hear that you could achieve this with a small copter. great light as well! great dives as well and magic athmosphere up there around the peak!
True! I should have flown a little closer to that hut. Yeah, the Flywoo Explorer is pretty great for long range, as long as it's not too windy. Thanks!
@@FPFPV I reviewed the knockoffs (chimera4 and shadow fiend) and finally got the flywoo hexplorer now. I guess the hex is a bit better for weight and also stability in gusty conditions. your instagram link doesnt work btw. where do you fly?

Ah man this is inspiring. I just got my first controller to start on the flight sim. I am planning on getting the Flywoo LR4 - just can’t afford the DJI system yet.
This is so amazing. The music really traps you in the visuals. On the top you go around the peaks you should lose line of sight; why didn't lose signal?
@@FPFPV Great. Are you using the GoPro hero 6 or 7? I just saw a few videos like this and wanted to start with FPV. At the moment I got a Tango II and start playing with the simulator, I will grab a DJI googles v2 if I see a good offer and one of these LR little guys.
@@albertocalvetphotography6165 This is using a Naked GoPro Hero 6. Btw, there will be new DJI goggles released in about a month or so, I'd maybe wait and see what they have to offer before buying one. The existing v2 goggles will probably also get cheaper then.
Hm, technically it probably could, but it would fly horribly if I had to guess. Also, there isn't a lot of space on the top plate for both a full gopro & a decent-sized battery.

YEEEESS!! this is literally why I got into FPV, for mountain surfing. This video is epic. I have my first Li-ion pack in the mail right now, and just got my patch antennas for my goggles. Li-po batteries have kept me from doing any flights like this with my Flywoo Explorer. But soon, very soon. What is your stick feel/power like with this setup?
Thanks! Yeah it's definitely not as nimble as with a Lipo, but that's the tradeoff you have to make for more flight time. Still maneuverable enough for flights like these!

Could you be more specific on your DJI system please? I am going to Hawaii in a few weeks and just ordered an explorer. The only thing it seems to be lacking is the ability to carry a GoPro (Osmo Action in my case). That said, I am brand new to the DJI system. I have stock antennas on the V2 goggles with a vista / air unit Lite I will be putting in the explorer. Your footage looks amazing for dvr and would like to reproduce as much of your quality as possible. Thank you!
Hey! The video here is from a "naked" GoPro Hero 6. Basically just a GoPro with the case, battery and screen removed. There are tutorials on how to disassemble it. Finally, you can solder the connection cable to these two pads on the Flywoo ESC: i.imgur.com/kOcohw1.png The DVR from the vista / air unit is also good, but not quite comparable to the GoPro :)

Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing. But ... It sound very weird that you did with just a DJI system. It appears that from your tx in many moments you can't be in Line of Sight with the tx, so it is almost impossible that the singal was so good to allow you to fly so close to the groud. I suppose that there must be some helpful reflectors (or repeters) in that area that allow the signal to bounch and reach the rx. Have you evaluated this aspect?
It's just a normal Flywoo Explorer with the DJI system, trust me. There's line of sight at all times, you can clearly see the two peaks that I flew to at the beginning of the video. When I turned around, you can also always see the place where I took off from and where I was standing, i.e. line of sight.
Currently saving up to get exactly the setup you have! Do you have recommendations on where to get the explorer? Getfpv/banggood/flywoo? Was the shipping time long? How about shipping time for the tango II? (Since you’re in Europe as well)
Awesome! Personally, I bought the Explorer from Flywoo themselves. In the beginning, they had parts shortages and I had to wait 2 months for it to arrive, but nowadays they ship pretty quickly. Though shipping could still take 2-3 weeks. Maybe GetFPV or some other local place could be faster. Bought the Tango 2 from TBS, I think they shipped it after a week or two. Dunno how the availability is elsewhere now.

@@spacehaze420 I haven't flown much recently but I want to get back into it! The Explorer is still probably my favorite quad due to its portability (easy to carry on hikes) and long flight time. I'm planning to upgrade it to O3 for even better range and video quality.

Really well done! I love the atmosphere at sunset. I also have a Flywoo explorer and use a 4s 3000mah LI-ion with an SMO 4K camera, so very similar to your set up. However with all the weight when it dives down a cliff, it wobbles (especially with lower throttle) and I suspect it is due to the heavier weight. Did you ever have that problem and if so, how did you solve it? I just changed the stock PID to the one used by Oscar Liang and I am excited to test it out this weekend. Thanks!
@@FPFPV I think the new PIDs improved the flight characteristics. But I still have wobble when cliff diving with lower throttle. Maybe I need to keep the throttle higher. I recently ventured into 7 inch long range FPV and the flight performance is great. But the downside is the added bulk. I take mine hiking every time.

Thanks! Max distance on this flight was ~4km, total flight distance about 12km. Yeah, just with the stock antennas :) And only a bit more than 50% of battery used. This thing can fly forever!
Yeah I have explorer and HEXplorer.. love both them. I use hexplorer to carry a gopro. With gopro 4s 850 flies for 6min30s and 4s 3000mah flies for 20mins

Regarding your Instagram link not working, when I click it it links as “instagram.com/fp.fpv/%E2%80%8B”. It adds those last few characters for some reason which causes the link to break, but if you remove those letters it works alright

the only thing that hinders is that the image is floating all the time, decreasing and increasing due to stabilization

What signal power are you set at? Your signal seems beyond normal. Coulda swore you went behind the peak several times.

No, you lose signal if you fly behind a big obstacle.

TBS crossfire nano rx. The antenna on the quad is horizontal, don't think it matters that much for these distances.

It doesn't cap out at 2km, it can go quite a ways beyond that, at least with the setup I'm using (DJI, Crossfire)

Ja man muss schon aufpassen, dass nie ein Hindernis die direkte Sichtverbindung blockiert.
Die maximale Distanz bei dem Flug war ca. 4km.

Regarding your Instagram link not working, when I click it it links as “instagram.com/fp.fpv/%E2%80%8B”. It adds those last few characters for some reason which causes the link to break, but if you remove those letters it works alright
