You are so full of perspective towards our characters, and that's why you're my favorite reactor. You know how the characters have flaws and they are mostly not perfect, and listening to you is worth while!! Thank you for this reaction, done watching Episode 14!! Will be waiting for the last 2 episodes of this wonderful Series!!!
getting into the end of this series it's nice to see the comedy coming through. I love that they explicitly said it's okay to just live, it took me a lot of years to realize I don't have to aim for the stars
in my age, and as a younger sibling, i was very happy about dongjin's highlight this episode. and especially the moment i have been waiting for came, the siblings having a heart to heart.. trying to find what you truly want to do, or at least, to know what you can do to support your family, yet in the end they're the ones who clean after your mess... you feel bad but because it was already ingrained that you were a good for nothing, unlike the sibling who seem to have achieved everything, it makes everything seems even worse... all sides are hurting yet only after so long they finally find out about each other's true feelings... definitely i cried the most while watching this episode
In one of the actors interviews with TEO 테오 u can see them talk about how the script writer and director realized that Jung Hae-in (Choi Seung-hyuk’s actor) had very muscular forearms and decided to add him showing his forearms in the script, the interview was hilarious u should totally watch it
I like how all the relationships run opposed to each other. You got Choisseung's parents running around like rabbits while Seok Ryu's parents are moreso unspoken, oblivious love. Then you got the leads. Seok Ryu wants to keep everything hidden while Dan Ho literally gets Mo-eum's mom approval all while accepting her love at the same time. Can't wait for the shot of all four (or possibly 5) couple running alongside each other being happy in love.
This shows how cultural differences changes the perspective. I could tell from a mile away that the reason why that reporter did not want to date the paramedic is because he has a kid, and she is a single woman. Who would now be saddled with a daughter that is not of her own. Which is a big deal in Asian countries. In the West, children are like some kind of commodity and treated as unimportant when the main character seeking love. In the East, any man or woman who have children and wanted to marry or even date people who are not marrried or do not have children would be like a C grade wanting to date a B grade. Not that it is right. But it is the cultural difference between the West and the East.
Kim Yuna is a famous Olympic Figure Skater and she's regarded as one of the greatest figure skaters in history, winning gold at the 2010 Olympics and silver at the 2014 Olympics .
I do sincerely hope that you either react to "Judge from Hell" or "What Comes After Love" post watching the finale of "Love Next Door". Both the dramas which I have mentioned are currently ongoing. And both have been loved so far by an audience with just watching couple of episodes.
I think with Dan-ho and Mo-eum has more cultural layers. But you are right with his inferiority complex. You’ll kind of see a bit more of that culture mindset in the next episode.
@@FreshestKReacts I see that episode and I understand her mother. You are a western man born with western ideals and look at the world according to western lenses And it is understandable that it does not make sense to you. Understanding the difference between the culture is one of the things I like when I watch dramas from other cultures I might not understand it but I understand where they came from. Not all of it is good, but there is merit and demerit in every culture. Too family oriented, and you sacrifice individuality. Too much individuality, you could not create a society. This is a simplistic approach to a complicated question.
what u must remember that asian households are harsh af with words. we grow up traumatized that its just a norm lol. its not good but its usually the way of life unfortunately 😅
and most asian families really do prioritize the men in the family and harsher on the women esp on older sisters. eldest daughters really hold the fort with the expectations of the mom.
the reporter not wanting to date mo eum probably coz of cultural reason, its not really nice if someone who has a child to marry someone who's never married before, alot of people will talk bad about them in the reporter case he could put her niece back to the talking point by dating/marry mo eum, thats how harsh its for divorcee in asian, to avoid that most divorce married to another divorcee even though thats not the case for him but people doesnt really care about the truth
