Jin touches on this briefly in Nothing Much Prepared with Youngji. He says they stay strong as a team as the members are able to put aside their wants and needs for the good of the team. But I also think having their solos is an outlet for their personal creative sides. If they were restricted to BTS work only, especially now they are a bit older, I think they may well have split. For true artists like BTS, creative freedom is paramount.💜
The way I see it is like this:
BTS is like a machine that produces beautiful artwork. And this machine has 7 working parts that are all essential. Without all parts present and working, there is no BTS. The group would cease to exist as BTS is, say, two members left and were replaced by new ones.. or the group reduced to, say, 4 members while 3 pursued solo ventures. If there were to be any changes to the group, it would not be that special configuration that cohesively keeps the miracle that the group is alive and progressive in their production of artworks. And that's what I mean, they don't make music... they make artwork. From their concepts to their sound to their lyrics to their aesthetics to their stage presence to their athleticism to their creating an experience that is just so damn exciting and beautiful and ... just helps you to escape your difficult life and stops time even just for a few minutes!
So when a member is injured or sick... if they can sit in a roller office chair on the side of the stage and sing... that's what they do because it's not a BTS performance with only 6 members! And when Yoongi or Jin couldn't be there or couldn't dance... the other 6 didn't change the choreo to close up the gaps.... no, they left that empty space where that member is supposed to be! BTS is seven. I hope they are seven for a long time to come. The fact that they all can successfully produce artwork as soloists and also co-operate together to collectively produce as a group attests to their skills as individuals as well as their selfless dedication to each other. I'm positive that at times they have artistic differences, but they work it out and compromise. And they rely on each other's unique skill sets. Some's strength is writing lyrics, or producing rythmns and melodies, or learning and teaching choreo, or promotion of a concept. They turn to each other to support each other where there is something lacking. They don't compete with each other, rather they understand that when one member shines they all shine! They're all proud of each other's success! There's no jealousy or rivalry. They've bonded through their struggles and have come out on top. BTS is a model for any musical group to try to follow. But I don't know if it's possible to replicate their success. They are a unique combination that hasn't been before and I doubt will come again. Like the Beatles. There's never been another Bealtes ever. Or Prince. Or Michael Jackson. There's only one BTS... it's that special... at least to me.

I’ve often said they have a trauma bond beyond just being close.
The way they divvy up parts is whoever fits the best in parts of a song is the one who sings it. It’s one of the things that has always impressed me. Sure, they’re disappointed if it’s a part they wanted, but they let that go to serve the song. It’s pretty impressive.
For me, them being together, huddling thru the tough times and respecting each other allows their complete cohesion, The are huge individually and together. Their realness is what sets them apart
BTS paved the way... and they are still leading the way even when they are in the military.. other Kpop artists won't admit, but they are walking on the path which was created and even now lighten up by BTS. Ofcourse other works hard too. Others are getting success too but but but but but BTS gave them that way, and they are still leading it so others can easily walk on it .. they never had that path, but they are giving it to others ...

One of my favourite things about BTS is that they change their sound everytime and simply do well. I have been a fan of several boybands from 3 different countries and that does not always work out. They genuinely understand music that is enjoyable.

The "7 Year curse" refers to how groups often only last the length of their original 7 year contract. Once that contract term ends, they choose to disband to do solo activities, whether music or acting, etc. It used to be pretty common, bc the members would want to do solo things which the company didn't allow them to do while in the group, get better treatment than they felt they got previously, and often simply get away from each other bc they never got along.

I also think after 7 years.. a group might just get bored if they don't evolve their sound and skill sets. BTS dramatically changed over the years! I think Namjoon and Jimin show the most growth. It was like they were performing as cartoon characters of what they thought a hip hop artist was supposed to be at first. Now they have discovered themselves and their own artist expressions. Even their aesthetics changed astoundingly. Jimin found his style and bravely struts it. He shows us everything now without fear of rejection... because he knows we love him exactly just the way he is.
My dad once told me that you automatically love things that you put a lot of effort in. BTS put one hell of an effort into their group. This is LOVE. That's what sets them apart. Everyone puts the group first and not themselves but if they feel left out they feel comfortable enought to tell each other because they know that they will be taken seriously. Bang Sihyuk and his team gave the group the right guidance, teaching them that they have to learn how to communicate with each other until they solve their problems within their group. And he always wanted to know what problems arose and how they solved them. He took care of them, because he didn't want to exploit them but fully understood that they are too young to be left on their own. When give and take works this well, you will be successful.
As an Army, what I love the most about BTS is not their music, not their looks, not their personalities, not their messages... it's their incredible bond.
I think their humility and love for each other are the top ingredients of BTS longevity as a group.

Even in their solo acts, they often chose to build a set of seven again, like suga in his haegum MV or jungkook with his six back up dancers. It really shows that the group is very important to them
I think 7 is a unique configuration for dance. They look like migrating birds or fighter jet planes soaring in formation. 3 flanking on each side with an individual leading at the tip of the arrow. And as the choreo progresses through the song, the members change positions... often with complex precision. How they remember where they are each supposed to be at any given moment in the choreo is amazing to me!
That was an eye-opener for me. I wondered why new kpop groups had so many similiar looking and sounding members. Can't believe how short-sighted most korean entertainment companies still are. Maybe they don't want to risk anything or lose too much time looking for a good combination of members, but that way they will never reach heights like BTS. Bang Sihyuk had a vision and put everything on line for his beliefs. But now that other companies know that it can work, they still don't go that route. I don't understand this.
I defnitely agree with the thought of BTS having the right mindset to work so well as a group. They understood very well that they could only gain success in the tough korean music industry together but even after achieving success as a group and soloists they never let go of their mindset. At some point they understood that their strong bonds have become their safe space. They often said how glad they were to have each other during their ride to mega-stardom.
They all are considerate of each other, giving opportunites to other members to shine so nobody becomes envious of another member. But I'd like to add that it also depends heavily on how much freedom the company gives you. If the company does not support this and guide you in the right direction like Bang Sihyuk did, things cannot work out since the members depend too much on the company before they become successful.
I hate when members look and sound the same. Like girl groups! I don't like girl groups. They look like fembots to me! Or I also dislike when guy groups are dressed in identical uniforms. BTS did this in their early days. Especially the Dope YMCA Village People thing. Now they perform dressed according to a theme with of them expressing a unique style within that theme! I love it!
Just from what I've noticed. It seems that RM and Suga are really good at listening to the music for a group piece. Then coming up with which member would sound the best for the different parts of the music. For me, when a member introduces himself as BTS and insert name, simply says that they are both. No selfishness involved.
Oh! Like "I'm BTS Jimin." Instead of just "I'm Park Jimin." Or even playfully "I'm Jimin. Do you know BTS?"

This is why I cannot stand solo stans especially those toxics ones. Why do they think the members still call the(ir) fans ARMY even when they are doing their solo projects? You would think this would drive home the point that BTS is a family and a win for one is a win for all💜💜. The earlier they get on board, the better for them so they do not get their hearts broken again in 2025
There's nothing wrong with being OT7. And there's nothing wrong with having a bias. The problems lie in saying your bias to better than another. This happens with shippers too. Jikookers fight against Taekookers for example. The battle to prove who Tae prefers, JK or Jimin. But the truth is that all 3 of them are in this beautiful love triangle. Yeah. Relax. There's plenty of V to go around.

The example of j hope asking jimin if he wanted to take that part it remind me that j hope was actually a vocalist but because taehyung wanted to be a vocalist he took the rapper position and also because it matches his hip hop style.
Yes. J Hope surprises you when he has a vocal part. It reminds you that J Hope's skill set us well rounded. He raps, dances, sings, and writes. Yoongi and Namjoon sing well enough for their vocal parts but I think with training, they could have a silver voice like Jin! I still am amazed that Jin joined BTS without any singing ability at all. He learned. So could they.

But i heard from some armys that he chose rapping because it matches his style and also because v wanted to be a vocalist so jhope let him take that part and became a rapper.

Of all the reactions I've watched, your full body response plus unexpected tears is the closest to how I remember feeling that first time! Just...this horrified amazement that turns instantly into heartbreak to realize that this tragic character is so much more tragic than I could've ever guessed. Some of the problems with many groups:
1) certain members think they worked harder than the rest, thus they deserve to always be at the center or receive the spotlight or get the most screen time. - creating conflict in the grp.
2) certain members lose interest in achieving the group's goal (due to emotional drain, personal issues etc.) and other members don't bother to help or provide support. - creating a hole in the teamwork.
3) certain members try hard to outshine the others during actual stage performance, which affect the group performance as audience do not see a cohesiveness in the teamwork anymore. Singing becomes a shouting match. Group dance synchronization all gone - .... and this one I hate the most!
My heart ached to learn that Jimin almost didn't make the cut to debute... and then at one point wanted to leave. And J Hope wanted out early thinking he didn't cut it as a visual. JK cried and convinced him to stay. And they're all still together because they supported each other.

Yo Ben, u gotta put "REACTION" in the title of all ur boracity reaction videos bc it's discrediting boracity, and pls turn up English Captions bc not everyone speaks or understands English but most can read it.....
Actually BTS started as a cohesive team because of RM’s leadership. From the get go even trainees who didn’t make it into BTS said RM was a very special leader because he insisted on teamwork and working together for the interest of the GROUP rather than individually. Without RM they would have been a completely different group.
About the line distribution aspect in Queen Spring Day Jhope has vry lilttle to no lines in the digital version I think he was okay with it all of them are okay with but during lives he sings some of RM’s vocal part that is the beginning and some harmonies with JK

This is all your real "transformative" commentary:
1. "Are you guys paying attention because I'm very focused. I'm not talking too much because I'm learning."
2. "I think what it is, I'm not saying I'm right, this is just my thought. My opinion based off what I know of BTS, I think what it is that we all know BTS had a pretty harsh start, a company that almost went bankrupt, right, small company. The BTS gang gang gang had to live in the dorm, cooking on the floor, eating, and as BTS was rising, people started downing BTS, questioning. Racism, discrimination, hate, whatever. But BTS overcame although. Through those process BTS realized we have to stick together as a [ __ ] team. We have to help each other out. We have to work as a team cuz if you don't work as a goddamn team we ain't going to get through these hardships. BTS realize that. They work as a team because teamwork makes a dream work and clearly BTS is a living proof of that. I don't think based of what I know of BTS, they're not like- they're not greedy for spotlight. I don't think they'll go like oh I want this line, I want this part because this- I'll shine in it no- I think what happened- again this is just my thought, my opinion- is they're laidback. I feel like for example j-hope do you want this part, let me ask Jimin. Jimin do you want this part. Uhh I'm good J-hope, you can have it, all cool. Do you get what I mean. They very laidback with it. At the end of the [ __ ] day like I can't wait for be to come back I cannot wait."
This is not only lazy, but I feel like you didn't even comment on the main points of the video. All you said summarized was: "I'm listening🤔☝, hardships, paved the way, comeback."
I would love for you to continue reacting to my videos. But react, comment, make jokes, do something! You seem like a GREAT communicator and observant guy. Don't use your audience (and my video) like this.
Also, please write "reaction" in your titles whenever you react to my videos, as just the title may be misleading to viewers. This is not your idea, video, and at this point, this is not your commentary. Honestly I would have agreed with you if you would have just asked him to write REACTION in his captions since that's not something he usually does and you worked hard on those videos and I also think he should do write REACTION but I'm so sorry I feel like you went too deep when it wasn't needed especially with the overanalysing part of his reactions and commentaries that's literally his choice and its our choice whether to watch or skip and I also like to focus whenever I watch ur videos so I get him. But this guy has almost a million subscribers and I find his lack of commentary insulting. This is almost reposting my video and that is against copyright laws. I could sue him and win, but big creators know that small creators like me don't have the money to even start that process. Shouout and link won't encourage anyone to go to the original video when they are getting the full video here, which I'm actually okay with! as long as he gives some kind of commentary, opinion, disagreement, literally anything. He didn't do any of that when I feel like he is totally capable. And yes, a lot of reactors have the habit of not saying much, but they are not rewarded like this. Those reactors get 30K subscribers max. And just because something is normalized doesn't mean it's okay.
