The first day I met my ex Filipina I said, let me see your birth certificate for immigration purposes. Honestly, I only wanted to see one box where it’s checked mail or female, because I had heard the stories about lady boys. The smart filipinas get money from you in small amounts at a time over long periods. Then it all adds up.
Only ever give what you can afford to lose because in the Philippines, what you spend here, will stay here.

Saying no to sending money is a great buffer. Also nothing wrong speaking with a few different girls online to get to know them in some way. For me the time and effort spent chatting is well worth it to get a feel for the real ones. Also my itinerary isn't dictated by the girls, I'm still visiting certain places to find where I want a base. The right girl will follow me around.

You are correct, learning how to say no is the hardest part for many men. They show up and find a beautiful woman that weighs as much as their ex wife's right leg, and is friendly. Women that wouldn't speak to them in the USA. Men never learned to tell beautiful woman like that no, they will give them anything to keep them interested. Learn to say no, the sooner that you learn, the better off you will be. They aren't going away because you say no.
Good advice. For many men it’s not very long before their ‘one-eyed serpents’ are making the decisions. Insecure, blinded by lust, scarcity mindset.

I count myself as blessed. First time going to Subic Bay, we had a Chief (BMC Garcia) sit us young guys (first timers) down and explain ALL this stuff to us. Ladyboys, don't get too attached, freelancers, don't give money, all of it. And that was in the 90s! I'd think you'd come across these warnings in your initial research nowadays. Heck, after doing my due diligence on Thailand, this channel was one of the first to pop up when I started researching the Philippines! I've never been one to send a woman money (for ANY reason) in the past and I don't see that changing. Something about her taking your money and spending it on someone else (NOT family) just doesn't sit right with me.

What you have said is ALL true and I have heard the same and seen it with my own eyes, in Thailand, and these horror stories are completely factual. It happens way more times than even what you said, but the positive ladies [number-wise] are far FAR more prevalent. Thank goodness! Good video and...Peace

You’ve gotta be like George in that Seinfeld episode where he decides to do the opposite of what his life-long habits tell him to do. [example: shy guys who ordinarily only date women who make the first move, do the opposite of that: Approach a banker or a professor as if that’s totally normal for you.]
Hard to say no to a pretty girl that you are emotionally attached to.
Most such cases stem from thinking with the wrong head. Such susceptible men tend to be desperate and dreamers who are so fixated on 'finding true love' that they convince themselves that the Philippines is some magical land that 'fixes' all their problems and makes all their dreams of 'love and romance' come true.
Having a background in law enforcement, I'd learned early on that people have the ability to to incredibly great things in life and amazingly stupid things. The ability of some to convince themselves to act or do things, with what most would clearly see as an utter lack of common sense, is simply astounding.
I have no problem telling ANY woman NO no matter where they’re from or who they are! A woman will either respect you or they won’t! I remember going once on a Filipino dating site and some women started asking for money and I told them no! The best thing to do is just go to the Philippines and meet ladies there and see what they are about first!!
I am 100% agree with your accessments and methods of handling those situations. I would go further to absolutely not to engage relationship at all. Just do st.

What's just as amazing about the first "story" is that 3 Filipinas were able to get out of their country without getting off-loaded at immigration when trying to leave their country. That seems to be the "norm" these days--even married women are sometimes having a difficult time getting out.
Some times they don't check, I brought in 15K U.S. they didn't ask only my covid paper work.
this went on for three years, and he gave her lots of money. it's very possible he had already taken them on previous trips, or they themselves had previously flown out on vacations (using his money). they obviously already had passports, that wasn't a last-minute thing.
Some of my friends and aquaintances in other countries are very embittered about unfair travel restrictions, but sometimes it’s their home-county’s policies that impede their ability to travel on a modest budget. I can tell you that the government of Ghana is (unfairly) trying to stop a “brain-drain.” As for the Philippines, I’ll have to search out some videos explaining the: “halt ! You may not leave” policies. I hope it’s to combat human trafficking… otherwise, it’s super-confusing because so many Filipinos/as work abroad to send money home…

thanks, all good advice. after 6 years of relationships in Thailand, i agree that taking your time is perhaps most important. it takes skill and good instincts to navigate thru the various mine fields. i do believe that there are plenty of decent, beautiful, compatible women in SE Asia, but you having money relative to them puts a big bullseye on you. and it may not even start out as a scam, but if you make it too easy for them, just like anywhere, they may succumb to taking advantage. Similar to the adage, think the best but be prepared for the worst. its a skill.

We met online no boots on the ground , married online and I sent money to her family who built the home we’ve be happily living in the last two years in near Bislig City I guess I’m the one exception having said yes , I can say no when I need to which is usually if she asks will I help her in the garden , so in reality you are not always right about online dating or boots on the ground lol 😂

what would be an average age of these philipinas that scammed some guys? i met my philapina on line. Went to philippines to meet her and her children. I was invited to stay with her, and stayed three months. We worked on getting her visa, and she came to the U S with me. We then planned the wedding and got married. I did this the wrong way based on your advise, so I guess I am very lucky it turned out good for me. She is now 51, and I'm 78. I love the 2 youngest children, and they love and see me as papa. We are having a tough time with home land security. it has been aggravating, and have had some set backs because of covid. At this point, the children are awaiting their visas, and will soon be with us. Her 4 adult children prefer to stay in the Philippines. I am happy and lucky guy I didn't end up like some other guys getting screwed by Philippina. I did view the advice "life by the sea" before going to the philippines. I hope I have put some help for others. I would say, go to the Philippines first and check things out before meeting your first Philipina. There are tons of them. Don't get in a hurry. Know yourself worth. The first time someone asks for money block and delete. Not hating but how can you have a serious relationship when you've never met a person. They can pretend to be whatever or whoever online. People need to be vetted and you need to spend quality time and don't be in a hurry.

Met my wife online ten years ago. Married 1.5 years later. I built a couple houses there in the province. I went back and forth for 5 months a year for a few years then brought her and her daughter to Canada. She works full time here now. Recently bought some land in Bohol and have a vacation rental there where I will eventually live part time.

it depends. if your goal is to meet someone for a relationship.. don't bother with dating apps. meet women by approaching them in-person.
but if you're just looking for some temporary company, just wait til you get settled into your lodging in the PH. you can chat them at 11am and set up a lunch for 1pm. planning anything days in advance is like herding cats.
