When I took my first CCW class, my line partner had a staccato. He roasted himself saying he brought it because he's a terrible shot but it makes him look better than his skill allows. After we did our shooting, he passed but he didn't do the pistol justice either but given his prior statement.. It checked out for doing what he expected it to 😂

Staccato makes great pistols. With that said, I shot a Staccato P with a red dot at 10 yards free hand and they were all center bullseye hits. I then shot a CZ Shadow 2 with irons and I got the same results. Perhaps if you are a competitor then it makes sense, but I couldn't see the difference in pistols with my mediocre shooting skills. Your milage may vary.

Michelle is correct that the best gun in the line up is the XC. I have the XC and it is incredible, so smooth.
I carry it and it is like cheating. I had an Atlas Athena and sold it because the XC is so much better. Great interview with Michelle and she was ready for you!

So now we know why James went home from Shot Show early, to get treatment for that burn. That new model looks really interesting though being about the size of a Glock 19 w/ all the improvements that the CS had (smaller grip, external extractor, flat trigger, etc).

Does Staccato have any plans to make a steel frame 5-inch barrel model like Bul Armory offer? A threaded barrel with a comp and have the rail set flush with the comp will be great. Also the extra weight will be welcome.

James how about doing a shooting session with Michelle at the Staccato range so you can see how the Staccatos shoot. I think it would be great and you may wind up getting one.
If Staccato makes that one without the stupid "grip safety" and imrpoved the trigger than the original P model, make it in steel frame, I would want to buy one.
I wonder why they don’t offer the more compact offerings with a steel frame. Just cause I want a more compact staccato doesn’t mean I place weight over felt recoil.
