Elta MD spf first the tinted one, then after I let it dry for 5-10min I apply my Ilia spf super serum which used to cling onto any dry patch but with the spf underneath it works and makes it more glowy. Then I added a slightly more brown tint of the ilia as a bronzer in areas I want. I feel glowy and protected.

Do you ever get nervous that the makeup brush will disrupt/break the 'film' of protection from the sunscreen? I've been debating using a powder puff to set my spf with powder because I'm kinda nervous about that.
Nikki has me also using cream bronzer and setting it with powder bronzer. I use the Westman Atelier highlighter. Love love the concept of sticks. I will try the bronzer, but I am head over heels with the Fenty bronzer. I agree with your comment sunscreen is a privilege. I always wondered if applying makeup with a brush over ur SPF ends up "brushing" some of the sunscreen off. I imagine the brush must pick up some moisturizer, especially the super dewy ones
I have had the hardest trouble finding a mineral SPF that works amazing under makeup that is hydrating and dewy under makeup. I only use Elta MD UV clear 46 because i'm tired of trying products as its a go to. But, from reading chemical SPFs are bad for us in the long run.
Thanks for sharing! You should def do a Q&A video but do it while you sharpen all of your makeup pencils (lip liners, eyeliners, etc), clean your makeup brushes/ sponges, sanitize any makeup tools, & clean/ organize your makeup area/ vanity. 🙂Just a suggestion, thanks.
Yes, please do a Q&A. I'm so confused about sunscreen ingredients. I've read the amounts used of octocrylene, homosalate, avobenzone are bad for reproductive system, etc, etc. I'm not a health nut, I eat crap that's not great for me so I feel like should I be this concerned about sunscreen???? Can someone please explain to me how to use sunscreen when you’re wearing makeup. I don’t understand the mix of the two together. If sunscreen needs to be reapplied every two hours, how do you reapply it without ruining your makeup?

I have on mixed makeup! I LOVE the honey halo moisturizer. It’s really soothing and moisturizing but feels very light. I also love the triple peptide, but that one is much thicker.
I don’t know if this tip will help, but I figured I’d share just in case it does help you in a pinch. I had some mild burning/tingling in some areas on my face with a sunscreen (play by goop, great sunscreen without white cast), but only in one part of my face. (Around my nose) and I happened to have the Rare Beauty setting spray, I sprayed that on and the tingling totally disappeared. I did also previously have a ceramide moisturizer on also and that usually helps protect my skin and I still had that sensation occurring. The total combination made me feel as though I did find a loophole when that type of irritation occurs but you’re still in the market for a chemical sunscreen. I didn’t reapply that sunscreen, I followed with a powder sunscreen after that. Again, not at all sure this will help, but if it does or introduces you to different products that get you comfortable results for you skin then I’m all about sharing.
Hi Susan-irritation is not the reason malasma sufferers are recommended not to use chemical Filters. It’s because with chemical Spf heat is still absorbed into the face while it’s being absorbed by the chemical Filters. This can perpetuate the melasmas pigmentation

Hi Brooke! Mineral filters absorb heat too. It’s a myth that they only deflect UV rays. They do a combination fo both. 👍
