Ps: To new and young producers, these effects and processing will only work on a project that has been well recorded, timed (groove) and arranged. You will notice from how good the track already sounds before he adds any effects to it. The magic comes with a lot of calculated work. Thanks Sage ❤
this is so packed with info, i couldnt compherend half of it on the first skipping trough it. normally they talk way too much and i can ff trough the tutorials. this ill have to watch two times with making notes
This is pretty good! Hope to see more videos like this on your channel. I gotta suggest a video on an overlooked aspect of vocals which is the production. I came to realise this from a video that Nick Mavromatis did. Everyone focuses so much on the mixing when it’s only 50% of how to get a good vocal. Check out his episode on vocal production!
You broke it down so well but I myself still can't fit the vocal into the beat well and im trying everything and watching every video. once I gain stage my beat to -12db, after adding the plugins to the 2track beat, do i increase the gain afterwards or leave it set to -12db? i hope this makes sense
Thanks for watching! You don't have to gain stage the beat to -12dB - by the end it can be louder or have a higher amplitude. I think focusing on the sound of the overall mix rather than specific levels like -12dB etc, will be helpful!
Over these last few months I’ve picked up a good deal of information from your videos. Keep it up! Also, for 808 like the spins what kind of saturator would you use?
Great video! Just wondering. Do you De-Clip first and then Phase Align? I got a little confused bcuz you didn’t actually hit the “render” button on the De-Clippper, but you did when you adjusted the Phase Align 🤔
Hey great video! I don't really get the de clip part. Is the goal to get back to 0db after de clipping or do you adjust the makeup gain to stay at the same peak as before de clipping?
bro the clip gain comes first, if the beat is already too loud you will be induced to record too loud and your vocals will be hot. jus take down 6db of gain. Download a VU meter to help you. I mean cuz most of those youtube beats are limited to the max volume @@NVRLOSTT
Need a video on how to master for Instagram reels/tiktok since most people listen on phone speakers atm I.e like having a phone mix in ur back pocket for promo. And mixes like these for spotify
that last technique boosting the highs on the vocals without making them harsh is Fuego 🔥
Howd you know I needed this right now???? I literally just was like I wish you dropped a new 2 track tutorial

Thanks for watching! Very true - the better the arrangement and composition, the better the mix.
id love to see more 2 track mixing videos 🔥

Mulţumim! Mi-aţi deschis noi orizonturi şi palete de mixaj.👌
BRO THIS IS A MASTERCLASS.
AWESOME...guys. Thanks for this gem of vids 👈🏾💯!!!
Hey @SageAudio . We can leave some of these steps for the master as well no? Like adding air, cutting lows. Thanks a lot!
You can! You don't have to do all of this during the mix
I would love to see you adjust the MB plugin …. I want to know your rationale/approach

@sageaudio ok I'll give that a try
@@sageaudio thank you
Right on time

When exporting the beat back into your DAW from RX7 what's the best bit depth and what do you dither by?

Can I get the ending song??
I like to do it much simple but at the end similar results 😋👌
How you do it ?
How does one find the frequency for MB expansion? thanks
HI sage, bro WHY not use Trim plugin instead of lowering the gain?
Great video! Just wondering. Do you De-Clip first and then Phase Align? I got a little confused bcuz you didn’t actually hit the “render” button on the De-Clippper, but you did when you adjusted the Phase Align 🤔
Yes you do! Sorry for not showing that.
Thank you
good stuf
Hey great video! I don't really get the de clip part. Is the goal to get back to 0db after de clipping or do you adjust the makeup gain to stay at the same peak as before de clipping?
Can you do a version with free plugins, please!!!!!
Probably in the future for sure! Thanks for watching and making a suggestion
Can you start mixing it on protools?
hey on the saturator would u put that plugin on beat or bus
great song. who is it?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Let's goooo
So do we do all of this as soon as we load up the beat before recording? or do all of this AFTER we have the song fully recorded?
It would be best to record the additional parts and vocals first, then go in and apply processing.
@@sageaudioOkay one question sorry , do we gain stage the Beat first then apply the processing? or process it first then gain stage before recording

looks like a million steps just to get it to sit right. isn't their a one button plugin that can just do this?
Come on G, that takes the fun out of learning but I feel you on that though lol
Bruh this tutorial great and all but I’ve watched this so many times this song getting stuck in my head what is this song
