i watch this whenever i feel like i just dont want to do anything. i first saw this video when i was a little kid. this video has really motivated me throughout my life
My parents used to manage as much as they could, the people who I spent my time with. I now have a deeper understanding and appreciation for them in this regard. Who you hang around with is who you become, maybe not to the tee, but very close. Choose your friends wisely and always be pruning your garden[of friends]. It’s ok to be friends with chickens, but it’s not ok if all your friends are chickens. Thank you for this vid and story. Simply, beautiful
If you would be a chicken, your friends maybe are also chickens... that the freedom of choice, for everybody. If it would be the goal to become an eagle, many people become instantly sad because they like what they do, they would never change her life... I assume the task is more to fine out, where you are - a chicken or an eagel... or someone in the middle. Find the friends which belonging to you are the second thing todo but not less important ;-)

I was changing alot I started getting mocked and laughed at, for not looking the same I just wanted to belong, but instead was filled with shame It was in my despair and sorrow, is when I looked up to the sky I saw an adult eagle bird with his wings spread and soaring high "Bird of the air" I called to Him, "come show me what you know I'm ready to hear this news you tell me, to new places I'm ready to go If I'm really not a chicken, then place me on your back Let me stand on your shoulders to reach where you are..... lead me down your path" The eagle put me on his back, higher and higher we went But I started feeling nauseous, I never gone to this extent And then he tipped me over and to the Earth I started to fall "I knew I was a ground bird!", I thought, "I knew I wasn't meant to fly at all!!" Closer and closer to the ground I drew.... Being a chicken was all that I knew Until I heard a still small voice inside me say," My child, it's time to rise," "Spread your wings wide open, it is not your time to die" As I listened and followed, I stretched my wings as far as they could go The wind picked me up and carried me...."I am an eagle!.. whatta ya know!!!" You say you would die, but don’t we want strength so that we could live in the first place ? Strength is dependent on life, life is not dependent on strength.
But what happens if a chicken is raised by an eagle? I feel like that moral would be that its okay to not live up to expectations. Just do what comes naturally to you

One day, when the eagle grew older. He realised that he was an eagle but he never fly high. He were born an eagle but decided to live as a chicken, why? Because all the other chickens that he meets everyday did the same thing to not fly high. They crawl on land, they are happy living with a normal life everyday. Then the Eagle said " I wish that when I was younger. I wish I knew I could fly high like that eagle in the sky ". Moral of the story: Don't depend on what you witness behind you, look up the sky. There's plenty of opportunities out there to be successful but instead you decided to live a normal life because you see other people does the same thing. Do the thing that most people don't do to become successful in life so that you won't regret it when you get old.

Both as methaphor and biological fact: imprinting always does its thing. So dear parents, please, don't raise you eaglets as chickens or vice versa. That breaks their lifes
If you are surrounded by toxic people, by negative people, by people who doesn't think big our outside of the box and doesn't want to see you win. And these people telling you are nothing, you can't accomplish anything in life, that you're worthless, eventually if you keep surrounding yourself with these people you will become them. You will leave your life believing you're worthless.
Chickens fly too though ... even domestic breeds except for western breeds. Western breeds have bigger breasts and abdomens and smaller wings so their ability to fly has been bred out of them.
