Stoked you loved the shoes Elliott. Thanks for such a thorough review-we will definitely take note of the suggested improvements. Cheers to a great upcoming season with many deep days and cozy après ahead! 🤙🎿
I have been skiing since 1975 and somehow missed Booster Straps. I got a pair on your recommendation and they REALLY make a difference. Thanks! Wondering if you have tried the Patriot Footbeds Liner Sleeves. They have really helped me with heel lifting.
I have to personally thank you. After watching your review earlier in the year, I used the information I gleaned from your reviews and settled on a pair of Atomic Maverick 95’s for soft snow days and Rossignol Experience 86Ti for firm groomer days. I’ve had a chance to ski both at Sugerloaf (home mountain) this week. My choices were spot on. These ski’s really work well for the way I ski and the conditions at the mountain. I was really surprised on how well the Mavericks carved for an AM ski. Thank you for all you do. To be able to purchase two sets of ski’s without demoing and come away satisfied is a complete success.
@ Just came back from a day at the Loaf. Second day on them. Everything you say about them is absolutely true. They aren’t really the greatest on boiler plate, but once you get them on any descent groomed surface, these things rip a carved turn of almost any shape you came come up with. We just had 15” of dense fresh on a man made base. Did some mogul skiing and they handled them well. I think these will work out for any day except the really firm days. The 86ti’s are for that. A great 2 ski quiver for big New England resorts.
Boot dryers has to be there! You can use it for warming up your boots while driving up and drying them after. Really helps with longevity of your liner
As nice as it is $59 for a T-shirt's a bit much for me, but just bought the base layer you sold me on the arm hooks! Really looking forward to proudly flaunting my Rickety Ski Reviews base layer on the slopes in the spring! No sales tax it's all included in the $109 Nice!
@anthonyalpha4118 oh yeah, not for a skiing baselayer. The one you bought is much better. I just meant in general as a non insulating shirt it's a great piece.
Hi Elliott, i wanted to order the "Black Base Layer - Rickety Capilene Long Sleeve Ski Shirt" but you're not shipping to Germany i guess, that's really sad 😩 Love your advices and your skiing gets better 🤩
Oh man, I'm really sorry, I couldn't figure out how to get the product to other countries without the price being unfairly expensive. Because we're screening the shirts by hand and not outsourcing it, it makes it a bit tricky to ship affordably from Idaho. I will try and reassess it with the next run though. Sorry to disappoint this time around.
Great video as always. One small suggestion when doing product reviews is try and hold the product still so we can actually see it. You’re bouncing your hands all over the place and switching from left to right a bit too much, I couldn’t get a visual.
Great gift idea for yourself if you are an intermediate or lower level advanced skier... I just saw Evo lowered their price again on the 2024 Nordica Speedmachine 110 flex men's boots. They have a lot of common sizes available. $270 but the sale ends tonight. That is over 50% off. They also have the 2024 Speedmachine 120 flex for $350.
Oh wow, the patent thing never occurred to me but would not at all be surprised. I always figured if booster straps were really worthwhile they would come on a $$$ boot, now I might have to try them.
Hey Elliot. I asked yesterday about a replacement for my nordy doby slr. I found a used pair of head rebel e Sl rd for $500. 10 days on them the seller said? Thoughts?
I'm sorry, I'm not shipping to Canada currently. Just the domestic U.S. between the postal strike and shipping costs I couldn't do it for a reasonable price that I felt comfortable charging. Hoping to try in future drops however. Thank you for your interest and support though 🙏
Unless you have a very close relationship with the person and spend enough time with them to know exactly what they want or need and the size they are, don't buy specific items. Usually you just gifted the person the chore of doing a return and then looking for something at the same store which does not always work out. A great gift is cash. Then the person can buy whatever they want or need like groceries, gas, a new wallet, pay down a debt, etc.
Totally agree, I just meant this to be more like things you can avoid that are stereotypical vs items that are actually useful. But totally agree that those other necessities come first.
@@RicketySkiReviews After 10 years of marriage, my wife still thinks she knows what I need regarding clothing. I told her the other day to get me a Rickety t-shirt and she no. So I bought it behind her back.
Elliott is the most transparent and genuine reviewer on TH-cam. Keep up the good work man.
Thank you
Very true. I always enjoy listening to honest and sincere folks!
Totally agree.
I’m so glad I found this channel, Christmas shopping for my little brother who has found skiing as his passion 🩵
So glad to hear! You sound like a great sister, I'm gonna feature your comment on my next video.
Hope everyone in the U.S. Had a great Thanksgiving! Cheers.
Top to bottom powder skiing at Alpine Meadows for Thanksgiving I'm very grateful!

They kind of started as a race specific product and were easy to miss haha but glad you love them!
Booster Straps are the best thing I've done to my boots! Spot on recommendation.
Agreed! I will never go back

Was at sugarloaf myself last Friday, had some nice snow in the AM
You seem like a good man. i enjoy your videos. Keep it up
Thumb's up on the booster straps. They last forever. Big performance upgrade!
The Darn Tough ski socks are awesome too and guaranteed for life.

McCall cap - Way to go! 👏
From Hometown Sports actually! (not sponsored or affiliated lol)

it's true, those cap shirts are expensive. They are excellent though

Portable boot dryer and a nice high-quality ski boot bag. I am curious about the booster strap now...
weather tech mats are pretty much mandatory anywhere you get snow or ice. just wash the salt and muck off every once in a while and you're set
I will never go back, especially with kids
Thanks for the suggestions

Going to share this with my wife

What year? Do the bindings mounted fit your foot? Sounds a bit overpriced imo but it depends a bit. Let me think of replacements
Honestly its pricey, but last years montero ar is on sale and evo had a couple used pair. That or the Volkl Mantra 88.
So don’t buy anything aesthetic, I can agree with that🤣 so really the best gift is a Visa Gift Card, or a gift card to a ski shop of choice🤷♂️
I like LeBent socks for skiing.
Do the base layers ship to Canada? Considering one for my wife who says watching this guy again

Hand/foot warmers

Good point. Tbf you can usually get a duplicate of what they already like, but it's A good thing to be thoughtful of.
