- This video is about troubleshooting dim display and no sound problem of an Casio CTK1150 musical keyboard, after tracing i found that a filter capacitor was short , instrument started working normally after replacing the capacitor.

Very clear, direct, and intelligent. Have a Casio CDP 230-R that has similar symptoms--low volume then after 5 minutes static and popping sound on the speakers (had hooked it up to my TEAC Hi Fi and used it as a pre Amp for a while, but even now it is unusable). The most probable issue is a capacitor but am going to replace my adapter first. I would truly like to find a schematic for the audio for this machine. Again thanks for the professional tutorial. I have Casio ctk 1100 .I have replaced capacitor of 6.3 V , also now the IC starts heating...The screen is loading with no names and numbers ,the sound is gone .I can see only the dark screen with no name and Number

(PS I actually do have a problem with my CTX-700 :- any idea why the soundbank for Piano (only the piano sounds) make a screeching sound but all other sounds are fine? thank you !! Great video
You may have a leaking capacitor. Sometimes they are not shorted like this one, also you may have a bad power supply regulator. Touch each capacitor at its top and see if toyching one you hear noise. If that the case replace the cap. But I would also check the regulator. Good luck.

I think my CTK-700 have the same problem.
Display is fine and all inputs are showing in display without any problem,
But no sound is coming out of the keyboard. It is completely silent.
I never turned it ON for atleast 6 months. But I kept it in its bag so no chance of dust or insects getting in to the electronics.
What do you think ?

Mere paas ak casio ctk6300in organ hai . iske left side ke speaker se sound nahi nikal raha hai. kripaya solve karen. mai jharkhand godda se hun. kripaya is par ek video upload karne ki kripa karen.

This type of sets input, output voltage please sir.very nice
In this set Input voltage is 9.5v DC and output to Logic (Main control ) board is 5v DC, the capacitor which i replaced is 1000uF 6.3v.

Hi sir, Mere Casio ctk2300 ka Volume Slider control, kharab ho gaya he, Volume Slider mechanism ko Offline & online bhi nahi mil raha sir. Without slider ke ho sakta he kya matlab volume diract ho sakta he kya sir.

Hello sir, agar same size ka potentiometer nahi milraha hai tho kamm length lekin same value ka slider potentiometer isthemal karsakthe hai,
karna ea hai ki eak side mei direct solder karna hai aur dusre side ka terminal wire se jodna hai.... dhyan rakna hai ki kaun sa fix resistance terminal hai aur kaunsa variable terminal hai.....

Bhai main Ludhiana se hoon, mere casio ctk-50 mein power aa rha hai indicator bhi on ho raha ha but awaaz nahi aa raha. Kya fault ho sakta hai or kya check karu? Please guide karen.
amplifier section mei power aaraha hai ya nahi check karna hoga, agar power teek hai tho IC ke pin voltages check karna hoga....aise hi eak ke baad eak check karna hoga bhai, text se batana bahut mushkil hai...

Need to check power adaptor, and if it is ok, then need to check voltages at different stages.

WAS DEAD DILL TO wrong polarity they where using 12 car battery
I changed the regulater 7805 and 2206 IC
The keyboard is on and the display is on but not printing anything
No sound
There is sound when pushing the power button
