Thank you - you’re most descriptive narrative yet. I get into your “pruning head” when you describe the reason for the cut. You can’t over-explain nor repeat too often as we are sponging up your thoughts which sometimes are new to us and need repeating as each branch or reason for cutting is different. This is all a compliment to your efforts. If you have other fruit trees ala plum, nectarine, apple, pear or peach I (we) would certainly love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you. I will try to make a video of as many fruit species as possible in the future.
Pruning the cherry tree was good, thank you
Glad that you enjoyed.
Your style of instruction is excellent and informational. Your thought process shared as you progressed through the entire procedure was very helpful and allowed me to understand your pruning goals. Thank you so much!
Thank you. Great explanation and demonstration - awesome!!
Thank you! Excellent instructions!
You really know what you're doing your trees look great I used the same technique
Thanks
Thank you a lot for teaching me, I also want to ask why all the big branches need to be cut, and what is food for the tree to get healthy to wait to try blossom flowers and green leaves.
For better balans of canopy.
@@CherryFarmEurope would you say more clearly, I really don't understand
Very good pruning demonstration! Easy to understand. What brand of power shears are you using?

Very informative video. Thank you very much.
I am watching your video to learn about taking care and pruning my cherry trees. What are you applying on the wood of a fresh cut to protect it? Thank you. I am a new subscriber!
Some kind of wax with copper, or if you can find fitobalsam is much better option.
Excellent
Thanks.
Different type of pruning here in greece.we leave 5 to 6 mother branches and all the vegetation with fruits cuted at 60 cm
Hello. What tools do you use for cutting? Looks very strong and nice to use.
th-cam.com/video/nMgi2p1h1lY/w-d-xo.html
You did a pretty good job but there's still some in the center that are covering the outside branches.
We have a lot of sunny days, so it's not a problem.
Thank you for this video. It looks like you are pruning in early spring. I’ve also read other recommendations to prune sweet cherries in late summer after fruiting. We have a very old cherry that has two trunks. On trunk is fruiting but the other trunk has died. Would you recommend cutting back the dead trunk during the dormant period?
It is not necessary to wait for the plant go in dormant, you can immediately cut off the dried part so that the whole tree does not dry out. Pruning time depends on which region you are in, cherries should be pruned when the weather is dry and warm so they don't get infected with viruses and bacterias.
Thanks, there are different pruning waxes on the market, some are more durable then others, some are streachy like a silicone. Do you have any info on thet as well? Another thing when pruning old diseased trees, I see you take also big brunches out, but I am in a position where I would have to take eaven one bigger trunk of the tree out in order to save it, and would it be ok to graft sutch a big diameter (20-30 cm)? Also a good durable wax would be better to close it in this state? Please help :)
any wax that has copper in it
Çok güzel oldu eline sağlık ❤
I too need to take on the mindset of a honeybadger while I am pruning my fruit trees as well...

Can we use this type of pruning to a plum tree?
Yes you can
Hi there, can I use this pruning technik on plums? Great video btw, thanks..Robert
Depending on variety, but probably yes.
Where did you get the electric pruner from and how much?
You can find similar from aliexpress. My cost around 250 euros.
There is on quality reduction on older wood? I'm trying to remove everything older than therr years.
Of course, the older the branch, the worse the quality of the fruit, but everything is fine for branch 5-6 years old.
For me the big problem with older wood is lack of fruit. Reason ? Pickers damage them during harvest. So I often remove brach just because of that.
This is kgb System ?
I have maxma 60 can i prune it with kgb System?
yes you can
My first cherry tree for my backyard arrives from the nursery next week. How do I decide what system to train it to?
How tall you want your cherry to be? Do you want fruit or tree for shade? What variety you buy? A lot depends 🤔
@@CherryFarmEurope I'm getting a dwarf Benton self-pollinating sweet cherry tree from Stark Bros that I am growing for fruit production. I want to be able to harvest the cherries without lots of fancy equipment. I can use a ladder if needed, but I'm not looking for the tree to be super tall. I would prefer that the tree is self-standing or with the use of a stake or two. Would rather avoid extensive trellising. I am willing to do the necessary yearly maintenance pruning and training to create a good tree.
Thank you for your help!
@@thisisajokeright Follow this video instractions and you will be fine. th-cam.com/video/M_95Kmv1CRs/w-d-xo.html
@@CherryFarmEurope Thank you, sir!
How many kilogrammes from the tree?
I did not measure, probably about 30kg
@@CherryFarmEurope Nice.
Watch your fingers !;)
Why do you leave stub.
Viruses and bacteria are less likely to enter.
You destroyed the video with the music!
