She's got one of the cleanest vocal I know.
1978 was such a year for Olivia.Her Tv special with ABBA and Andy Gibb on May,Then the GREASE-quake and then this album.I think that 'Totally Hot" album could have faired even better but it was kinda overshadowed by the Grease fever which was so huuuge and had such a vibrant longlasting echo.
Right!. By mid 1978 Olivia was already over exposed: on TV, radio (Grease soundtrack) and on the silver screen...
As if all this wasn't enough, MCA rushed to have an album released by the end of 78......plus a world tour. There was too much Olivia all over places.
I've always thought a better programed schedule would've worked wonders on Totally Hot release.
MCA should've waited until Olivia's Academy Award performance (somewhere between March-April 1979) to release A Little More Love the very next day.
That performance would've officially marked Olivia's final presentation as goody-rwo-shoes Olivia and the departure of a "new Olivia", more daring and willing to expand her sound and image.
A Little More Love deserved to top every chart around the world. A better marketing campaing and releasing strategy would have made a Big difference......
.....but it gets me nowhere, to imagine it all.
