Thank you for the video! The result looks amazing but I would probably have sent it back... and left a scathing review. Your patience paid off big time!
That is so so so cool I love it. Can you find out how much to make flares about your size but for the mitsubishi k74 l200. Thanks Brandon from the Caribbean
Looks good thanks to the new paint job. I would be very very frustrated that it takes all that extra work for making it look good. Hopefully the whole is really airtight so you won't get water in the airtake when you cross a deep river. I'm waiting for that video.
Yes, believe me, i was very frustrated 😤 when i saw the quality, but i had to make the best out of it and i am very happy with the outcome. Maybe i should have added 700$ more and got the Brazilian Snorkel! Only time will tell how the this Snorkel will work and last 👍 but good idea about dipping the Jimny in deep water and see if the Snorkel works 👌😄
@@thenewjimnychannel361 The Brazilian one is around $700-$750 delivered to Europe with taxes included. The advert you showed was way too high. However the challenges around arranging a delivery are large, getting payments into Brazil properly (ie, Business accounts not Paypal) is challenging. Also getting it OUT through Brazilian customs, it can take many weeks to get out the Airport. Because of the logistics, I no longer get them unfortunately
@@bigjimny okay, do you have a website that has that price? But seriously why does it have to be so complicated to get a descent Snorkel for the Jimny these days? Maybe the pandemic?
@@thenewjimnychannel361 I dont have a website I am afraid, I just went around the Suzuki Brazil channels. It seems that Brazil has so much red tape for legitimate business, they were disparing at their own country processes.
Hats off the the fella installing it, I 100% know what it’s like having to install a part that doesn’t fit, and not to mention having the customer stand behind you while you do it. You hope the customer understands that it isn’t his fault and he is doing the best with what he has been given. A install like that should probably take an hour or 2 but turns out to be a 3/4 day job and the shop looses money on that job.
Ha ha,you are absolutely right. 😄And let me tell you the mechanic has 20 yers experience and he somehow made it work. But he is not stressful working with me behind the scenes, we have worked together on many mods👍
I was almost gonna buy this the other day, best looking one out there but the build quality doesn’t look the best. Good video mate 👍 have you had any issues with it yet?
I also just received this snorkel. Also not great work. Still to see if parts will fit. Also no hose. My main worry - what about rain? There is no place to put a drain. Did you think about how to handle rain entering the snorkel? Or just assuming that not much will enter? (afraid to take this assumption..). And thanks for the video! Very helpful. How did you ensure that the place metal part(connected to the hose) is air tight in place of connection to snorkel itself? There is a lot of free space, and not evenly distributed, fitting some rubber and silicon might be not secure enough
If you know a good mechanic, he can probably make it fit! But we used a lot of silicone and had to rebuild some of the metal parts 😩There is no drain attached to my snorkel but I was thinking of punching a hole at the bottom of the snorkel it’s self and install a one way valve! so all water will drain through there. But if I was doing this all over I would try and get all accessories from the other manufacturer, theTaiwan company. facebook.com/groups/674942126027853/ Marco Asbach ordered his from them, he sent me pictures and it looks way more professional. At least it has a drain and a hose👍
@@thenewjimnychannel361 one-way valve is an interesting solution, but not sure if such low-pressure one-way valve exists at all. Here in Israel work is expensive. So maybe it will be cheaper to throw it out and buy another one from Taiwan, rather than paying for all the fitting... Thanks, will consider it!
@@thenewjimnychannel361 yeah..meanwhile cancelled installation, it looks like the metal plate also not aligned properly and needs re-do. So will try to come up with a better connector and solution for draining first, before making a hole in the wing... but yeah, it looks so good. Sadly, this is the only benefit of this snorkel...

Maybe a stupid question : will the extended length, of a snorkel. Change the amount of air to the engine, and also resistance/lower velocity of the air ? Does the fuelsystem has to be adjusted ?
Good question, no it will not change the amount of air, but the Snorkel will enhance the quality of the air because of the height of the air intake 👍 The fuel system stays the same but fuel economy will be a little bit better👌

Nice work and those guys in the garage really seen to know their stuff!
What i've learned from this channel is that Icelanders have a lot of money and everything is very expensive. PD. The jimny with 35's looks awsome.

Great video as usual. That install looks a collossal PITA. Hard to recommended that snorkel version was my take on it.
Thanks, we shall see how it works and then I can fully recommend it😀or not 😞

Hello, I'm greetings from Mongolia. I just found your video. Can you please tell me a review after 1 year?
where to buy it? link pls
They stopped selling it 🙁
Very nice
I thought there was a no-drill version of this snorkel.
Круто. Но очень много дополнительной работы , за этот прайс.
hello greetings from Mexico , where did you buy it ?
Hi, I got it from Jimny Mongolia, but I would recommend the Taiwan ☝️
No ram air effect, though...
It is basically made in china and sell it expensive in brazil
Berapa Harga yg Baru, Dan Berapa Harga Yg Secen? Balas dan dimana Distibutor, Alamatnya.?
i won't trust that thing as water tight.
just a raised intake. not really a snorkel for me

What do u think a snorkel is? Underwater breathing equipment??? Raising the air intake above the water IS the main point of a snorkel xD
@@1wasinAlpha Snorkel is all about keeping everything airtight below the air intake hole at the top of the Snorkel 👍
U r right! Unfortunately. No need snorkel for jimny.
Mongolia good in riding horses :)

I think you might be right. But it’s too late now for regrets 👍
Very poor quality. No R&D for the snorkel you chose. TJM are a reputable brand that make quality products. Should've just bought the TJM.
