THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST INFORMATIVE CRYSTAL BEASTS VIDEOS IVE EVER SEEN. I GOT BACK INTO YUGIOH A YEAR AGO AFTER LIKE 10 YEARS OF NOT PLAYING AND I STARTED OUT WITH CRYSTAL BEASTS. I EVEN TOPPED MY LOCALS ONCE WITH MY CRYSTAL BEASTS. SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD TELL ME TO PLAY SOMETHING ELSE IF I WANTED TO WIN MATCHES. BUT I PROVED THEM WRONG. THIS LAST YEAR PLAYING YUGIOH HAS GALVANIZED ME. I MOVED ON TO RDA AFTER CRYSTAL BEASTS AND THEN TURNED TO FIRE KINGS. I TRIED THE SNAKE EYE CARDS AND IT JUST DIDN’T FEEL RIGHT. SO I PLAY PURE FIRE KINGS. THANK YOU FOR EDUCATING ME ON ALL OF THIS MARK! YOUR VIDEO MAKES ME THINK I MIGHT HAVE TO GO BACK TO MY FIRST LOVE. MY CRYSTAL BEASTS.

My personal list (which is always changing) will do you no good if you don't understand the strategy. And if you DO understand the strategy, then as I keep saying, you already have everything you need to build a deck that works for you. Jesse Kotton once gave a list for an Advanced Crystal Beast deck which was... a work in progress. But it ended all innovation with CBs, because everyone simply copied that list even if they had no idea what many of the cards were for. Resist the craving for instant gratification, believe in your own abilities, and build a deck with whatever cards you enjoy. Ratios don't matter when you're learning. I recently re-started playing the game a couple of weeks ago and I 've seen this video so many times, trying to learn the combos, checking on all possibilities and tweaks to both my Extra and Side Deck and now I'm really invested on my CB deck. So thank you, I've been having a great time re-learning the game and even though this deck can be hard to learn and even more to master, I've been having a great time at locals. Thank you so much for such a comprehensive guide and for giving me tons of ideas on how to pilot this deck.

You earned my Like and Sub. I've been playing CBs for years (since they came out) and you gave me some very innovative ideas to help combat the meta. I was watching/listening to this video on my way to my local card shop, and thanks to this video I made a few additional purchases lol May the rainbow light watch over you brother lol.
@@MarkThePage 🤣🤣 you got me lol. Just curious, roughly how many cards are in your deck? I watched the video twice and I think I got mostly what you're using. I've been drawing test hands and it's going well I just need a little practice. I've got the deck at 45 cards as of now
Dude, I cannot thank you enough. I have loved Crystal Beasts ever since they first released. There’s something magical about them, and I love playing with them even if I get destroyed. When I first met my wife years ago, I tried to get her into Yu-Gi-Oh! (no dice, we’re both mainly MTG players). I used Crystal Beasts to lure her in because she loves Pegasuses (Pegasi?). It worked for a little while, and now I associate my love for Crystal Beasts with childhood wonder and first being in love. Got out of Yu-Gi-Oh! for years, and while I will never play competitively, I love just messing around with my friends. I bought the Crystal Beast structure decks when they launched. It helped rekindle my spark for playing them, but it felt incomplete. I have watched your video like 3 times already, and I suspect I will watch it more. I love your approach to deck building and your refusal to give a set deck list. To me, Crystal Beasts represent individuality and being the underdog. There is no place for net decking here. I was a high school teacher for years, and I always taught my students HOW to think not WHAT to think. Your methodology of breaking down combos and interactions exemplifies that philosophy, and it is nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to upgrade what I have and have fun setting my nostalgia ablaze when I whip out the Crystal Beasts. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for your energy, personality, love for the game, and brilliant mind.
Wow, thank you so much for these kind words. This is going on the fridge for sure! It is disappointing how incomplete the CB structure was, but considering their nature as enablers for the extra deck, I suppose that was unavoidable. Luckily most of that toolbox is cheap and there's no shortage of options. My channel is all over the place and the Yugioh videos won't always be about Crystal Beasts, but I'll continue to hone this style of presentation no matter the deck.
@@MarkThePage ADHD kid, here. I am totally down for the all-over-the-place style 😂 Yeah, when I’ve looked up tips and videos on other strategies like Lightsworn, they just use them solely as an engine and don’t really employ the heart of the archetype. How are you calling this a Lightsworn deck when less than half of it has anything to do with Lightsworns!? For CBs, I really wish we could get some pure Extra Deck support, but I think you’ve hit the nail on the head with flavor, which is 👌 🤌 magnifique. Just finished ordering my upgrades, and I haven’t been this excited to play Yu-Gi-Oh! in a looooong time!
You're a mad genius sir. I had watched your sapphire surprise videos and the transition to pure crystal beasts only made things crazier. Also as an advent vaylantz player myself I love seeing someone else realize the power of our field spells, also the whole comment you made about "maximum incomprehensibilty" is very much what I leverage to win with vaylantz themselves as well so props for that
In the Cherubini combo, at the beginning, if you place another pegasus instead of vanilla 4 you get 1 more crystal in your zone which gives you one more monster when cross sheep brings back ruby
Recently dueled against a competitive deck on master duel with my Neos/Neo Spacian....Long match...Was bouncing all my bosses back with that continuous spell...Haha
Use the rev + carbuncle for cupid pitch instead. You don't hit yourself with herald banishes, you get the cupid burn that technically helps in time, and you get the cupid search for nemeses corridor that shuffles back a zenith 'just in case'.
Good catch--use this in Master Duel to get Thunder Dragon Colossus! In TCG though, I prefer the Herald (the banishment impedes only a late Dragon Ravine). If you're going through a Revolution Synchron combo and don't need any protection, then you're probably already going full combo for an easy win. As for LP in overtime, Revolution already gives access to Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Already do. @@MarkThePage The combo is something i've tested with a friend and played at a huge array of events, it's probably the most interuption protected way to play the deck. Even at 5 summons (power tool + cupid on board) and they nib you, you just golden rule and keep going, and if they hand trap you before that, okay/? You just continue playing anyway. AFC is awful imo, even if its for dragon ravine into destrudo.
Is anyone actually dropping Nibiru at that point? When you're mid-combo with no access to negation, and have revealed that you have a spell for recovery? I don't believe that any competent player would make such an obvious mistake. Ancient Fairy Dragon's main purpose is not to search for Dragon Ravine, but to turn it into Rainbow Ruins. This offers more opportunities to establish the lockdown and/or extend by using early field searches on Vaylantz/Ravine, saving Ruins for the end.
It's objectively correct to nibiru on the field of Power Tool + Cupid Pitch on the threat of Baronne next summon, unless they have exactly Imperm/Veiler to force the Baronne negation out later.@@MarkThePage And with the AFC comment, I will say the Rainbow Ruins is defintely a you thing, though I think it's very neat that you're making it work. I just prefer to min max as much as possible, and Rainbow Ruins doesn't allow for that.
Ah, I see. Definitely gonna try that in Master Duel then! On the subject of min-maxing, I've never felt comfortable with builds unable to negate more than one spell/trap. The security has been well worth the one-card commitment. It also ensures that opponents won't let me go first again, meaning I can safely side out all defenses. Also, RAINBOWS. If I'm not making a scene, I'm wasting my time.
Just got back into yugioh after a 15+ year hiatus. I stopped playing back in the vanilla era of the Egyptian gods. Signed up for a local event that revolved around deck construction limits to keep levels competitive. I did a little bit of research and ended up buying 3 crystal beast decks to combine and play with. I took 5th in a group of 16. Since then, I had access to a ton of bulk for free and have made 7 or 8 non-competitive but fun decks with a bunch of nostalgia. Looking to build or upgrade a few to be a but more competitive and found your video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, and I'm really picky about content. Gave you a sub and I'm gonna checkout your link to the decklist and build/play it. 🎉
Destrudo I had forgotten all about, definitely would need to get a revolution synchron. I'm currently working on a build around advanced crystal beasts mainly ruby and Pegasus. I don't have all the cards necessary but minus cross sheep the link to protect appolusa and revolution synchron I could build a similar deck but I think I'd stick to my neos deck it's just simpler for me and it's build around a otk. I like how this deck and get a few negates quite easily and doesn't seem to need handtraps
Neos is simple? It sure wasn't when I was trying to build it! Anyway, Crystal Beasts OTK just as easily as they set up these unbreakable boards--I typically build mine as an OTK deck with just a couple of searchable control options for going first.
The only thing you "should" do is follow your budget and preferences. I've never even tested running more than 1 copy, simply because 1 copy is all I was willing to buy.
I've been following dread guy as my main crystal beast influencer and never thought about using rainbow ruins like that, but I like the idea of this kind of approach to the deck! It looks way more resistant, it doesn't burn through ALL resources for that 1st turn end board, I'd like to experiment with something similar! What are your thoughts about the springans package/Gameciel package and crystal master? (hope I got all differences with dread guy latest decklist) Btw would you post a decklist? With this deck the extra is always too tight for some cards, I'd like to see how you manage to fit all strategies you showed in those 15 slots. Great content, can't wait to see more! 💪🏻
I can't believe how many people play Crystal Beasts as either toothless floodgates or a fragile turbo gimmick. It's flexible enough to pivot anywhere between either extreme mid-turn depending on the draws or disruptions, and smokescreen in any direction after siding. That's how I've been succeeding. I don't use the Springans package, because the synchro route has fewer bad draws and is also more gay (very important). Kaijus still find a home in my side deck, but Gameciel is the worst for us to use. Crystal Master never makes any of my serious builds because it's too fragile. I looked up the Kotton build you were probably referring to--awesome combo, but I'm still not a fan of his decks. That combo dedicates a lot of extra deck space to strengthening a specific setup which was already going to be good enough. Feels like the kind of deck that's made for TH-cam replays. ... Wow am I feeling JUDGY today.
@@MarkThePage I mentioned Gameciel but I meant _Gameciel omni negates_ @DreadguyGX is the guy I mentioned, kotton just popularised a bit the springans package, but all strategies I ever thought of playing in CB are from DreadGuy. youtube.com/@DreadguyGX
This is an incredible tutorial. You are a very good teacher. What is the card size of this deck? It feels like it is more than 40 cards, but maybe that's just because a lot goes on. Thanks again for this great content!
Having a deck over 40 becomes advantageous when there are cards you don't want to draw into, which has been a frequent staple of this game's design philosophy since Master Rule 4. It also means more versatile targets for your searchers to lead into, decreasing the chance that they'll brick. ... Things I tell myself because I can't build a 40-card deck to save my life.
Bro have you tried adding waterfront and gamma seal kiju to the deck incredibly strong when you have waterfront on the field and use saruya to summon the gamma seal
Awesome video, Mark! I really enjoyed all the explanations and card choices outside of the Crystal Beast archetype for the main deck and extra deck. I like that the deck uses both Rainbow Dragon and Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins. I made a TH-cam video last year with Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins and Golden Rule (feel free to watch the video, but you don't have to) and I have to say, I'll make some changes to my deck with the ideas I saw in this video and see with what end boards I can make. Thank you for sharing this information! 👏🤓
I'm not willing to buy S:P Little Knight, so I don't test with it. It could help with turn 1 boards which aren't able to set up Rainbow Ruins, but might not be worth the extra deck space. Knightmare Phoenix is a better link-2 for me anyway, discarding Rainbow Bridge of Salvation.
Dont know if you would respond, but would there be any use for hand traps when playing this, and is there any going second plays? (If addressed in video im just dumb)
Board breakers are better than hand traps for combo decks. Rainbow Bridge of the Heart and Vaylantz World, and Revolution Synchron can all provide removal and resources together. Each spell can force disruption while accumulating monsters for material. If you want to see how I play the deck in action, my next video will be commentated Master Duel replays followed by another stream this weekend.
This was some crazy comboing! Are there any substitutions for the Revolution Synchron? I feel like that's the only card you showed that's out of my price range 😅
Don't worry, Revolution Synchron's price tanked as soon as I bought it, after spiking immediately before I bought it. (No other tuner comes close. For Clockwork Night, you can try Magical Hound, Turbo Booster, or whatever other earth machine you can think of.)
The Sapphire Surprise guide was created for myself, to track the differences between branching plays. As for pure Crystal Beasts, these videos are already more effort than is reasonable for me and written materials can be found elsewhere. The best way to learn is to keep practicing by yourself--how many different boards can you make from the same hand, and which is most reliable?
Thank you for the great video! I'm looking for another deck to play next to my beloved HERO deck and I think CB would be a good choice. 🙂 Do you play only one copy of each Crystal Beast (except Pegasus ofc)? If they get banned, you can't summon Rainbow Dragon anymore, right?
Running a spare copy of Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon will give you an out to many situations, including an unexpected banishment. It's dangerous to build a combo deck with such slim engines that they can't afford to improvise.
It's an unsearchable Crystal Promise, itself a card I don't use anymore. The destruction option can be a neat alternative starting against Snake-Eye and Infernoble Knights, but then I'd much rather have Droll or Necrovalley.
A brutal play! I think it's more popular than Rainbow Ruins because it's not as demanding to pull off, but it doesn't cover traps and can backfire. Ruins works better for me, perhaps partly because that's what I've built around.
Interesting but I haven't tried it. It requires more bricks in the main deck, and extra deck slots I don't have. So it feels like giving up on the possibility of pulling off bigger combos, but as I say, if you're not finding enough combos, then it's time to run more combo cards. Of course you could add High Spirits to keep Springans Kitt live. Then maybe some Albaz cards to extend from that... maybe Mercourier... some Tri-Brigades to combo with... hey this is going somewhere...
Hey Mark, hello people, budget CB player here! Absolutely outstanding video, immediately subbed. Motivated me to get back into my own CB deck and I stumbled upon this thing: If I've got 4 in the back row, one being Golden Rule on a Ruby and I use Diamond Direwolf on my own Pegasus + Golden Rule, can I fill my backrow up to 5? How does the timing work out? I'm playing rainbow ruins, so getting to that sweet 5 backrow effect is pretty much pure dopamine to me. Thx for your answers! Btw, I'm in love with Crystal tree, it's waaaay too fun to play around with *-*
According to official simulators, Crystal Beasts can indeed take the zones of spells which were equipped to them. So the procedure is that cards are removed from play, then land in their new destinations. I suppose you're activating Tree, then Golden Rule placing Sapphire and a level 4 and summoning Ruby. Then you have 1 crystal and 2 counters. You're making Diamond Dire Wolf with the level 4s, to destroy the Ruby, putting you at 2 crystals and 3 counters, so Crystal Tree can now fill the back row. That's really cool! Analyzing this, you're paying 3 monsters to reach 6. (Though you probably already had Overdrive and a Ruins swarm guaranteed.) Crystal Tree is very fun, but it only helps if you already have a combo going, and our modern combos are designed to not need it. I can see it being more reliable in a budget deck which has a higher percentage of on-theme cards.
@@MarkThePage First of all, thank you so much for your time and work, I wholeheartedly appreciate it. I love how your responses are as detailed and thought through as your videos are, which makes them feel familiar, charming and in-character. That aside, I'm so happy to hear that this stuff would work! I'm basically playing without the entire Extra Deck expansions of Combos and I adore the Rainbow Ruins, so Tree is actually a solid way for me to double up on my backrow. However, it is mindnumbingly hard for me to sequence properly at this point XD In a weird way, this also motivates me to keep going, since I sort of see how much further I could go. Seeing how easily you deciphered the setup and can immediately tell the "Value" of the interaction is utopic to me at this point, but worth striving for. I would like to add that there's this weird extra thing for me that loves to get great combos, but it also matters how I get there. E.g. the crystal tree line fills me with nostalgia and happiness for some weird reason. It's not an efficient line, adds a whole layer of difficulty and there's better stuff out there if I'm willing to invest. But something about me having found that line on my own makes me all giddy. Maybe you feel the same way with your crazy additions and brews! Again, thank you for your time and dedication to community work. Cheers!
Thank you for the kind words! I've been playing CBs since they released in 2008 so I love talking about them. Crystal Tree's dynamic, long-term interactions were a big reason why classic CBs were so difficult to pilot. Yesterday you got me testing all the spells again, and while Tree isn't totally optimal, it's still good enough to use if you enjoy it, which is what matters most. I do highly recommend the extra deck combos--they're cheap aside from Revolution Synchron and Thunder Dragon Colossus, which aren't required. CBs have always needed this toolbox to bring out their potential.
I want to play CB, I see the video multiple Times but I have a question You play 40 cards or what? I didn’t know what cutting for the deck, I see you play like 47 cards What is side for you and what is main?
My main deck and side deck are constantly changing depending on the strategies feel like using, and which searchable floodgates are effective against popular decks. Whatever you like, you can make it work!
In his recent video discussing this deck, he mentioned that there is no "solved" deck. He stresses that everyone should consistently update their build to go with the combos they see/to play against their locals meta. It's a very (lol) fluid combo deck so there's a lot of ways to pilot it.
Super new to yugioh, bought a crystal beats structure deck and have gone scrounging a bit for some more copies of cards. This looked absolutely awesome but I got kind of lost when you brought in all the links, xyzs, and synchros. Could someone give me some sort of list of the super relavent ones I should keep an eye out for and potentially add to my deck?
Welcome to the club! You've picked a fun deck with lots of versatility. Your extra deck will need Dugares the Timeless, Cross-Sheep, Saryuja Skull Dread, Worldsea Dragon Zealantis, and Apollousa. Don't worry about anything else here that confuses you--this video was meant for experienced players looking to push CBs to the limit. I'll consider making a beginner's guide in the future.
@@MarkThePage thanks a bunch, I’ll look over this next time I’m in the card shop. Any pressing main deck cards (obviously I’m already looking for any direct synergies) that are needed?
I am certainly no connoisseur of beginner-friendly decks! You should try the "Conclave Control" style, which mostly sits on floodgates instead of summoning Rainbow Dragon. It just has trouble breaking through defensive fields... so every time I try to build control, those last few Crystal Beasts still sneak their way back in.
I was told by a player that you can't trigger Cross Sheep's effect with Overdragon since it wasn't summoned properly. Is there a ruling that proves them wrong? I know you're doing it here but trying to find a more primary source to tell that person "looks like you were wrong."
Read closely--Cross-Sheep never says anything about fusion summoning! It can trigger off of any special summon, then applies effects according to what kinds of monsters it's linking to. You could even summon Overdragon under Sheep, choose not to activate, then special summon Mokey Mokey to the other linked zone and use THAT to trigger Sheep!
@@MarkThePage Wow...feel robbed by that guy...I was trying a Charmer -Link Monster Alternative since I got told that...but this means Welcome back Cross Sheep! I do appreciate the prompt reply! Now if only I can dinf a cheap Revolution Synchron...lol worse case I'll work with what I got.
Yes, Tally-ho shenanigans are valid here too to turn Sapphire into Saryuja! Though personally I haven't tried this because it requires 2 slots in the extra deck, which I can't afford alongside my synchros, and putting 3 bad draws in the main deck.
Hey Mark, this is my first comment on youtube EVER. Anyway i had a few questions, 1- Can we get a decklist? I know you said in your last video that you should learn the deck before just trying to play it, but it would really help me understand how all of the engines work and what they consist of. 2- How do you come up with stuff like this? I’ve always wanted to create crazy combos, but I’m not good at it, and I don’t know the process. 3- Can we have more frequent yugioh content? I know this stuff take a lot of effort and time to make, but I would really appreciate it if you made more stuff like this. It doesn’t have to have all of the flashy editing and different camera angles, you could literally just show a few cards and theory behind them and i’d watch. 3b- Can we see more tournament reports? I think you have massive potential as not just a deck builder, but a player as well. Even if you don’t make exact tournament reports, I would love to some funny matchups you’ve had, and how you have gotten out of sticky situations. So yeah this is a lot, and you don’t have to answer everything, but I’d really appreciate it. I love what you’re doing man and I look forward to seeing more content.
Welcome to the TH-cams! What an honor. I mean it when I say to just toss in every card that looks interesting. I showed pretty much everything in the video. The best way to learn and innovate is to play lots of weird cards all together and see how they interact. Ratios and optimization don't matter until you bring it to a tournament. Sorry, but I'm keeping the Yugioh videos to just one per month. I want to balance these with my regular uploads and I'm in no hurry to exhaust my backlog of ideas.
The ideal deck list is every card you see in the video that looks interesting to you. Being handed an exact list won't help you learn how to pilot a combo deck. Refining ratios is the LAST step of the process, and once you get there, you'll already know what works for you.
@@MarkThePagea decklist would however help in being able to keep track of all the cards you used in this video though which is frequently difficult to keep track of.
@@MarkThePage So I notice we can summon Crystal Master for free if we get Vylantz World. I went 2-2 at locals but I need to practice for sure did so many mistakes.
Yes, I totally forgot to mention Crystal Master! You could also reuse it with Tilting Entrainment, a level 8 synchro as an alternative endpoint for Revolution Synchron.
Don't feel too discouraged! This guide is for experienced players. Crystal Beasts can adapt to an endless number of strategies of varying levels of complexity.
i would also like to see a deck list. just like everyone said a base would help us understand what play style would suit us but also knowing the names of some of the cards used that is not part of the CB list would help us understand what is used and how. like your double field spell looks cool to use but i missed the name of the card and the camera reflects the light a bit so i have a hard time looking up these cards. honestly i wouldn't need the CB list just the extras if you could put them in the comments. anyways thank you for a new understanding of CB. i had not thought it could synchro but now i would like to try it. 🤌👏
thank you so much. i will try to see those other cards you played or suggested but if i need help again later could i comment here and ask? thanks again@@MarkThePage
@@MarkThePage i was wondering if you could have a list of the tech cards. i looked thru your vids a few times and i am not sure of the deck size or extra deck size. based on what i could see and cards added i guessed the deck is around 54 cards and extra deck is around 17. i know that i am wrong. i would ask for just the spice cards in the deck just to have a better understanding of the combos you had shown in your vids. thanks again if you do and thanks even if you don't. keep making great vids tho :)
You're overthinking it. Exact deck size is not important, especially when you're still learning the deck. Just try everything and keep whatever clicks for you personally.

@@MarkThePage how does that work?

@@MarkThePage 🤣🤣 you got me lol.
Just curious, roughly how many cards are in your deck? I watched the video twice and I think I got mostly what you're using. I've been drawing test hands and it's going well I just need a little practice. I've got the deck at 45 cards as of now
It's somewhere between 44 and 51 depending on how experimental I'm feeling that day.
This was the best crystal lecture ever 🎉 thank you! You are amazing.
sheeeeesh!!! great video bro!
I am totally down for the all-over-the-place style 😂
Yeah, when I’ve looked up tips and videos on other strategies like Lightsworn, they just use them solely as an engine and don’t really employ the heart of the archetype.
Also as an advent vaylantz player myself I love seeing someone else realize the power of our field spells, also the whole comment you made about "maximum incomprehensibilty" is very much what I leverage to win with vaylantz themselves as well so props for that
For a Pendulum player to think my deck is crazy is truly a compliment.
Saryuja as the +4 is perfect
i love the content i was always trying to learn how to create and learn about crystal beast, and this video helped me a lot thx
This genuinely gave me a lot, very excited for the advanced cb video ❤

I’m so glad I came across this video
I've subscribed to see more crystal beast vids. Sick video dude!
Thanks! My upcoming Yugioh videos will go beyond Crystal Beasts, but they'll never be out of the rotation for long.
I am absolutely going to give this a shot.
Awesome video! A lot of cool interactions :)
In the Cherubini combo, at the beginning, if you place another pegasus instead of vanilla 4 you get 1 more crystal in your zone which gives you one more monster when cross sheep brings back ruby
I luv this dude explanation very good
Tysm for this video, I gained a lot of ideas from it 🙏🏻
Always happy to see your crystal beast videos :)
Good content, well spoken and a nice perspective on this niche deck.
goat deck*
GOOD CONTENT! :D I immediately recognized your avatar as Buten, which means it is time for me to stop playing Yugioh.
@JuuzouRCS The only card in this deck legal for Goat Format is Terraforming. But you would have nothing to search with it...
It's objectively correct to nibiru on the field of Power Tool + Cupid Pitch on the threat of Baronne next summon, unless they have exactly Imperm/Veiler to force the Baronne negation out later.@@MarkThePage
And with the AFC comment, I will say the Rainbow Ruins is defintely a you thing, though I think it's very neat that you're making it work.
Congrats on such a strong showing! Crystal Beasts aren't easy to pilot and the structure deck is sorely incomplete.
I like the revolution synchron idea but I don’t know if I should use one or more than one.
(hope I got all differences with dread guy latest decklist)
Btw would you post a decklist?
@@MarkThePage I mentioned Gameciel but I meant _Gameciel omni negates_
@DreadguyGX is the guy I mentioned, kotton just popularised a bit the springans package, but all strategies I ever thought of playing in CB are from DreadGuy.

@@MarkThePage oh, I almost forgot, what do you think about the centurion package for making synchro 7?
th-cam.com/video/SO6m55ahUAA/w-d-xo.html
Very similar to Ravine + Destrudo, but not a clear enough improvement for me to spend $20 on a waifu card.
Bro have you tried adding waterfront and gamma seal kiju to the deck incredibly strong when you have waterfront on the field and use saruya to summon the gamma seal
it was a ton of info, but i think that im getting it, it is more complex than i expected
Zealtantis resetting millenium eyes is so cute
But as a great duelist once cautioned me, "Don't be cute." (Or does that only apply to Kerass discarding Kitt?)
Awesome crystal deck!!
Do u have a deck profile??😃
The introduction, description, and pinned comment answer this.
INCREDIBLE!! Can you explain a combo uses SP and iP
Do you have a Deck list in Text Format ?
Any chance can we see a full deck list please ? 🙏 . I really wanna build this deck. Awesome video
If you want to build it, then build it. You've seen all the cards. You don't need the same exact ratios as I use for them to work.
Thank you. This cleared up what I was confused about. I was being dumb confirmed 100%
I'm interested in your combo, however, it's gonna be a lot of cards in the deck, right?
Yes, but a big deck can also be advantageous when it contains cards you don't want to draw.
Golden rule can be used only once per turn.
You can make Chaos Angel synchro summon with Power Tool Dragon+Ruby
Hey nice deck, can we get a deck profile?
Do you think it'd be possible to provide us with a guide for this deck similar to how you did for Sapphire Surprise?
The Sapphire Surprise guide was created for myself, to track the differences between branching plays. As for pure Crystal Beasts, these videos are already more effort than is reasonable for me and written materials can be found elsewhere. The best way to learn is to keep practicing by yourself--how many different boards can you make from the same hand, and which is most reliable?
where did you get that playmat from?! my wife plays crystal beast and shes been trying to find a decent playmat to use
I got it off eBay--look up foil playmats.
Thank you for the great video! I'm looking for another deck to play next to my beloved HERO deck and I think CB would be a good choice. 🙂
Do you play only one copy of each Crystal Beast (except Pegasus ofc)? If they get banned, you can't summon Rainbow Dragon anymore, right?
Running a spare copy of Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon will give you an out to many situations, including an unexpected banishment. It's dangerous to build a combo deck with such slim engines that they can't afford to improvise.
i need to gatekeep this video, so my locals wont find out my strategy
Just wondering if you would consider or considered using materialization quick play from phantom nightmare set?
It's an unsearchable Crystal Promise, itself a card I don't use anymore. The destruction option can be a neat alternative starting against Snake-Eye and Infernoble Knights, but then I'd much rather have Droll or Necrovalley.
is going ib (the link) being pointed by apo and having secret village worth it? :3 its the tech i play
A brutal play! I think it's more popular than Rainbow Ruins because it's not as demanding to pull off, but it doesn't cover traps and can backfire. Ruins works better for me, perhaps partly because that's what I've built around.
What do you think about Springans engine?
Interesting but I haven't tried it. It requires more bricks in the main deck, and extra deck slots I don't have. So it feels like giving up on the possibility of pulling off bigger combos, but as I say, if you're not finding enough combos, then it's time to run more combo cards.
Of course you could add High Spirits to keep Springans Kitt live. Then maybe some Albaz cards to extend from that... maybe Mercourier... some Tri-Brigades to combo with... hey this is going somewhere...
Can u make a deck profile of this
Hey Mark, hello people, budget CB player here! Absolutely outstanding video, immediately subbed. Motivated me to get back into my own CB deck and I stumbled upon this thing:
If I've got 4 in the back row, one being Golden Rule on a Ruby and I use Diamond Direwolf on my own Pegasus + Golden Rule, can I fill my backrow up to 5?
(Though you probably already had Overdrive and a Ruins swarm guaranteed.)
Crystal Tree is very fun, but it only helps if you already have a combo going, and our modern combos are designed to not need it.
I want to play CB, I see the video multiple Times but I have a question
You play 40 cards or what? I didn’t know what cutting for the deck, I see you play like 47 cards
What is side for you and what is main?
My main deck and side deck are constantly changing depending on the strategies feel like using, and which searchable floodgates are effective against popular decks. Whatever you like, you can make it work!
Could you please add or show your deck profile from this video ?
In his recent video discussing this deck, he mentioned that there is no "solved" deck. He stresses that everyone should consistently update their build to go with the combos they see/to play against their locals meta. It's a very (lol) fluid combo deck so there's a lot of ways to pilot it.
@@lit_wick thanks missed this :)
Unfortunatly ban on appo hurts a lot
The most important are Rainbow Bridge of Salvation, Golden Rule, and Necrovalley.
@@MarkThePage the three I’ve been looking for all week without success, awesome. But really thank you
I really want to play this.. oWo always loved crystal beasts, but I'm just getting into YGO after years. What is the beginner go to deck for you?
I am certainly no connoisseur of beginner-friendly decks! You should try the "Conclave Control" style, which mostly sits on floodgates instead of summoning Rainbow Dragon. It just has trouble breaking through defensive fields... so every time I try to build control, those last few Crystal Beasts still sneak their way back in.
@@MarkThePage Thank u, I'll try that! :)
Do you run 3 revolution synchron or 2?
Any number of Revolution Synchron(s) will work just fine. Follow your budget and preference.

Yes, Tally-ho shenanigans are valid here too to turn Sapphire into Saryuja! Though personally I haven't tried this because it requires 2 slots in the extra deck, which I can't afford alongside my synchros, and putting 3 bad draws in the main deck.

W SIDE DECK
Judt wanted to say thanks
Hey Mark, this is my first comment on youtube EVER. Anyway i had a few questions,
1- Can we get a decklist?
Deck list plsssss 😩😩😩. Anyways Love the vids
I don't know why I never noticed this but I love your rainbow unicorn card sleeves!
Too bad i can't build this deck on Master Duel...

As someone starting YGO for the first time in 20 years...I think I picked the wrong structure deck to play...
"Vaylantz World - Shinra Bansho" and "Vaylantz World - Konig Wissen". They're the only Vaylantz field spells.
