This is the video ive been waiting for!!! I have almost all these patterns so I'm happy to see I'm not alone in the boat with some of these! And i am so thankful you added in your prices. I always struggle with pricing but I'm pretty close to yours so yay!
I had major problems with understanding how to do the eyes too! I was soooo frustrated! Sat back and figured out what she was trying to say, unsuccessfully I might add. Do 12sc around one eye socket. Next round do your decreases and that’s it! Easy peasy lemon squeezy 😊
I love that you charge for your time! So many people (me included) dont charge for our time/under sell ourselfs. Also your items are super cute!! i love the lil loaf cats so much
I think charging for time works for some and not for others. It depends on how fast you crochet. I also just price based on how I feel like I said lol. So if something is annoying to make but cost is only like $10 I might be like ya know what I’m not letting this go unless someone pays $70 bc I hated making it that much so I’m not letting it go 🤣

I love making the loaf cats. Yours are beautiful with the different color changes, with out giving the patter directions away could you send me instructions on how you do your colors?
I freehand color changes. And to change colors I just insert my hook pull up a loop and instead of yarning over and pulling through to finish the single crochet I pull through with the new color. Just the pretty standard way.
That’s okay! Seriously. I don’t know how long you’ve been crocheting but many people get faster the more they do it. Others never get “fast”. Cliché to say but I feel it’s about the journey. I might make something that takes me 10 hours but if I enjoyed it I’d do it again. I consider myself a fast crocheter but that came with lots of time and projects. People who crochet “slower” do better not charging by the hour. There’s many different methods to pricing but as I always say if it’s mainly a hobby price stuff however you want. I rather go and sell nothing than go and sell stuff for less than what I feel it’s worth. But for some they feel opposite.
@MJAlleywayCrochet I've been crocheting for about 2 months now! I know I'm really bad at putting pressure on myself to be better/faster than I should be at this point in time 😅🤣 I watch people crocheting on TH-cam, and they don't have to watch their hands, and it looks like they're going in fast forward, and I'm like... why can't I do that? Hahaha. But learning takes time, and I just need to keep reminding myself of that! Thank you for the reply! ❤️❤️
@@SeriouslyStitchin_ oh hunny you’ll get there !!!! I’ve been crocheting since I was 7 but consistently everyday for about a year and a half. I can crochet without looking if it’s just basic rounds. But I couldn’t a year and a half ago. It just takes doing it A LOT! I know the feeling but seriously don’t compare or put pressure on yourself. Just enjoy the journey and the rest will follow.
Unfortunately no I do not think so. It is a newer pattern by all from Jade and I’ve never seen anything like it till she released it ! It is super cool tho and worth it. Her patterns are written very well.
I loved this!! Oh and the adorable alligator….I gave up on that pattern and thought it was just me!!! Makes me sad though cuz it’s so cute lol but yeah i just couldn’t understand it lol that’s on me ❤

I think it’s important to have a balance between enjoyment and making money. Leaning way more towards enjoyment if it’s just a hobby 🫶🏽

I struggled with the eyes on that alligator pattern too and so did my daughter. I just winged it. I haven’t tried it again.
Ugh I wonder if she’d made a video for it. I’m sure it’s so simple like someone else explained in my comments but it reads so confusing.
