    Don't stamp your plant pot. Make a little plant tag to poke into the pot (like you get at a nursery) and put your logo on one side and "care" instructions on the other!

    I'd definitely love to see this as a series! Also if you want to stamp your logo on the plant pots, doing it on the bottom like a vase, mug, flower pot, etc that you'd buy at a store might be a good idea.

    Exactly what I am doing all the time. Trying to find enjoyable patterns that take less than two hours to make after I have made a few (as I am still working in my speed). I also see if I can assembly line it to help speed up the process. I enjoy having seasonal items at my markets, things young men would also enjoy and not a whole bunch of what so many other crocheters are selling.

    Great video, informative, interesting and loaded with useful tips and info! Thank you. Just a friendly warning, the face you use for your funny pack is copyrighted and they are known for taking to the court any small businesses using the yellow face that every child used to draw in the kindergarten. Funny fact, the guy who copyrighted it did not even create it or use it first.

    This email is very enlightening. I crochet, but I've not yet done a market . Everything that I've made so far takes way longer than 2 hours to make. I'm thinking I would NEVER be able to charge $15 for every hour I spent making something. From a customer point of view, I'm thinking that the prices are exorbitant, totally out of reach. However, maybe I need to update my opinion on what is currently considered "expensive". Do customers really pay that much for those items, enough customers to make your market a worthwhile venture? Thank you for this education on pricing.

    • @BlondieKnots
      @BlondieKnots 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If youre interested in starting to do markets I would look into a few patterns that would possibly take you an hour or less to accompany your 2 hour items as well so you can have a variety in price for those who maybe dont have the budget to spend $30+ on an item. But in my experience, I will say some people have no issue spending a decent amount of money. Especially if its something they really want and you made it well, customers (mostly) understand and appreciate your hard work and realize the price will reflect that!

    I really need to start pricing my things better... Currently underpricing myself so badly.
    3 face scrubbies (3 of them takes me around 2 hours, I'm kinda slow) from me costs 6 euros, or 2 packs for 10 euros
    A pair of earrings, where it takes me ~2.5 hours is around 5 euros. Some are 7 euros, but those are really detailed/they have fancy beads in them. Earrings that take me overall less than 1.5 hours are 2.5 euros!
    I really need to start thinking more like 10e/hour wage for some of my works, maybe in the future as I build a name for myself...!
    Currently only selling them in person/in my country (🇫🇮), sorry!
