Kimi had become one of my favorite people to watch! If Kimi shows up on an episode of any of the series, I immediately hit play! Everything she does, in the ocean, in the woods, in the kitchen, I'm just immersed and interested! Love it!
I have to say it seems like this episode feels like these series catching it's stride. The interaction between Kimi and Kevin feels more collaborative and natural than previous episodes. Both of them having something to do with their hands consistently really helps the vibe. Kevin's comment about learning to consciously relax is on point!
This is one of the reasons why ME is so much more than a hunting show. The cinematography, the stories, locations, people and cooking make this series a "must watch."
Kimmy has the best energy of about any human I’ve seen. She just seems so positive and calm. I see a Kimmy video, I watch. I’ve been watching her videos for at least 7 years.
Tahini should be always mixed with lemon juice to make it relax it's what we do in our Lebanese cooking. And bonus it's a great zing... Thanks for the upload 😊 Enjoy
Aloha. Been following Kimi since her Patagonia sessions traveling round the world. Is it just me, or does she feel like a fish out of water in this video? Btw, huge fan of hers, and the way she keeps it real. She will always get a thumbs up from me. Period.
I think they have different energy levels but the mutual respect and eagerness to see how the dish will turn out carried them together to a beautiful ending :) Looked tasty!
Wow that looks ono! With all that garlic and the pickled onions. Talk about broke da mouth! So different from all the ways we've made it. I'm definitely trying that recipe out.
The best octopus I’ve ever eaten was smoked over Koa. Shout out to my Hawaiian buddy in college who shared his care packages from home with this howli. His uncles sent him bags of smoked octopus every month.
This dish looked fantastic, and I have no doubt it's as good as it looks, but that's more of a process to get there than I'm usually game for making...
I love MeatEater and everything they do. The cut edits and the way this was done doesn't work for me. I'd like a more raw version of it. Much love to the whole MeatEater crew regardless. Keep it up!
Can't see myself eating something as intelligent as (at least) a toddler. We wonder what it could be like to communicate with alien intelligence, but treat the closest thing we have as an appetizer.
Nah, he’s showing her a recipe. It wouldn’t be very entertaining if he just sat there and made it in front of her without explaining anything to the audience. I liked the episode, but I like Kimi’s octopus recipes. I get a few a year here in NC and it’s pretty freaking good if you do it her way.
Kimi looked all in on the recipe until he started pulling off the skin n tentacles for no reason lol, dirty scolding from the kupuna for that in hawaii, kinda like giving old timers fried fish without the head because u lazy clean lol

It's not her style of cooking that's why. Med/Hawaiian recipes for Octopus are generally straightforward and don't overcomplicate flavour profiles.

Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 Kimi Werner with your chef friend, a duet
of kai food rhythm. Octopus 🐙 at another level. Made me hungry 😋
love Kimi and all the meat eater crew
Octopus is awesome, & better yet when prepared like this!
This is one way but raw octo=No Ka Oi=Da bess!-lol
Pano and Paul's was an amazing restaurant.
I think Pano owns "The Buckhead Group" whichbhas some amazing restaurants under their care
Love seeing the Valhalla dalstrong usuba knife getting some work in great vegetable knife
Kimi proves in the first 30 seconds why she is a stone cold killer. Love this need to see more.

So much love for Kimi in the comments ❤
Looks yummy!
She rocks
Anyone recognize the species of wood they used? Oak maybe?
If this was filmed in Hawaii, more'n likely it's keawe/kiawe wood aka Hawaiian mesquite. Hard, aromatic wood that burns H-O-T & long
I have killed my share of animals, many different ways but I have never killed one with my teeth!! Kimmie is the real deal.
I get why lemon zest is popular, it's just a really nice aroma. But it's also a bit like sundryed tomatos in the 90s....fucking everywhere.
It's so nice she doesn't talk with out using pigeon
11:55 Holy sh!t she's dispatches them like that?! That's metal!
Yum 👍👍🔥🔥
What watch is Kevin wearing?
Add pickled pink ginger and boom.
I just bite it between the eyes, go Kimi!

Its weird seeing octopus cooked with the skin on i always skin them first
After learning how intelligent octopi are, I have trouble watching them get killed and eaten.
😀👍👍👍❤❤
Can you please make a Odysee or Rumble 😁😁

kills octopus with her teeth... what a savage!!
Kevin talks too much. An entire episode of mansplaining octopus to Kimi? Time to recognize where your real talent's at, Meateater.
