Exploring Tongeren: The OLDEST city in Belgium!

In this video, we dive deep into the rich history and vibrant culture of the oldest city in Belgium, Tongeren!

Next, we visit the "Moerenpoort", the ancient gateway to the old city. This impressive structure offers a glimpse into Tongeren's medieval past and provides a stunning view of the surrounding area.
Our exploration continues with a stop at the Julianus Shopping center, followed by a stroll down the lively Maastrichterstaat, Tongeren’s premier shopping street. We also visit the city hall and the town hall, two significant buildings that highlight the city’s architectural heritage.
We then head to the heart of Tongeren, the central Square. Here, we encounter the iconic Ambiorix statue and take in the vibrant atmosphere of this central square.

Nice video ! 👍Tongeren is such a beautiful city full of history. There is so much you can visit. You can spend a full day here. On Sundays you also have the internationally famous antique market and all the antique shops in the area. Enjoy shopping on Saturday. And there are often events too.
