- Incoming Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced changes to Singapore's Cabinet in a press conference held on Monday (May 13). Mr Gan Kim Yong will be promoted to Deputy Prime Minister alongside current Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat.
Mr Wong also announced other promotions and appointments, but did not make major changes to the ministers helming each ministry, citing continuity and stability as "key considerations" as the government approaches the end of its current term. Details: cna.asia/4anSnuh

PM Lee’s claims are not entirely true because the opposition parties, especially the (SDP), have proposed alternative policies.
