This was informative, I thought you were going to use that full black as the foundation but using it to cover the work to paint a background was interesting. This works well for a simple image such as this one but doesn't work as well with a more detailed photograph image. I have major issues making multi layered stencils of those, Mainly because when I make a stencil I use my cutting machine to cut it out so getting the image perfectly in place and all the same size is a real challenge. Thanks for the tutorial.
It's so long ago that I honestly can't remember anymore I'm sorry. In saying that, literally any printer will work with a thicker type of paper. Thanks for reaching out and hope that was helpful.
Best stencil tutorial ever.
Thanks so much!
really good and easy to follow. best of all the videos on youtube. thank you
Really appreciate it! :)
Thankyou I’ve looked at so many tutorials on TH-cam but none actually showed how to make the stencil on photoshop THANKYOU
No worries at all, glad it was helpful to you.
Amazing thank you for this tutorial. I have I would like to ask, what is the name of this photoshop?
At the time of recording it would have been pre-creative cloud, but this tutorial can still be achieved using any version of photoshop since.
Very helpful video - thanks alot. I found cutting out the difference layers very confusing until watching this.
Glad it helped make more sense for you :)
I strongly recommend using a light adhesive on the back of your stencils when spraying-- the image turns out much cleaner.
Simply with a bit of glue or exactly which adhesive?
Thanks for the tip, very helpful! :)
@@GabAxe I've seen spray mount recommended.
Have to try this out. Gotta love the stormtrooper !
It's really fun, you should totally try it out!
Top Top Top - Excellent

How do you revert layers back to black?
elvis cuevas wondering the same thing... any answers?
@@thommysomos I think you can add a color overlay
@@thommysomos Just revert the opacity of the middle layer to 100% and delete the color overlay of the bottom layer.
