The fact that all the dead are linked even after being consumed is actually worse than being eaten alive. This essentially means you can’t even die, even after whatever body parts it took is replaced you will always be apart of the Creeper. Unable to fully die and your soul will never truly rest in peace.
Considering that it has to replace body parts every so often, I think part of it is that you are linked to it for the time it uses the body parts. Once a body part is no longer usable, and it has to get a replacement, then it's likely that the link is broken, and the trapped soul is then released at last. The reason I say this is that in the comics, it showed only a few people trapped, but if it was around ever since man first appeared, then it should have had thousands linked, not just a few, this indicates that the link only lasts until the body part itself is no longer usable.
I always liked the idea that the creeper is actually just a parasite. Basically the wings and exoskeleton like the fins around the face, piloting a corpse to give it a human shape. it explains why no one has killed it, because they keep targeting the human body and not actually damaging the creeper itself. Like in the second movie, where creeper got it's head blown off, then just ripped the head off someone else and attached it to itself. It just needs body parts for transport and food, not to live.

What is most interesting is that there is no origin of Jeepers Creepers here. These comics only show that Creepers appeared in various cultures under other names, like Quetzalcoatl or Uktena. So the origin of Creepers is still a mystery.
Those creatures are actually no where near as blood thirsty as the Creeper. Quetzacoatl is one of the few Aztec Gods who was never given sacrifices. He even despised the practice. Uktena was said to eat berries.
@@erinmccutcheon3751 Maybe so. But in mythologies and legends there are many bloodthirsty creatures under which Creepers can fit in. However, most likely Creepers does not really have any origin, since he represents the dark side of Victor Salva, as embodiment of the most vile, sinister and depraved traits in the depths of human soul. Where there are vices, there are always Creepers.
@@erinmccutcheon3751 Well, answer to this question can only be given by director. But if look carefully at the first two films, find in them hints and illusions laid down by Victor Salva, then I can say that Darry actually is the real Creepers, or rather what he will transform in the future.
Quetzalcoatl was actually the only Aztec god that explicitly *didn't* demand human sacrifice. Tezcatlipoca would have probably been a better choice here.
Yeah this is the one detail that really bugged me with this backstory. There is no primary iteration of Quetzalcoatl that depicts him as anything other than benevolent. A few fiction sources seem to have this draw to make him out to be a bloodthirsty god, and I’m not sure why, when the fact that he is very much not one is one of the first facts you can read about him.
@@justinterrell7020 Tezcatlipoca was pretty malevolent and bloodthirsty. Huitzilopochtli, the god of war, was also bloodthirsty and chief of the Aztec pantheon, but since Tezcatlipoca was a trickster god, and the god of darkness who caused trouble wherever he went, I think he would have been perfect here. He was the one who exiled Quetzalcoatl from the pantheon, as well.
@@jbdxiii I haven’t finished the video so I’m not sure if this comic line is fully over, but it would be neat if they mentioned that Tezcatlipoca usurped and took his place or something, I dunno. Any tribe that adheres to the teachings of a pantheon of deities makes sure to revere these deities as interchangeable as they have “light/dark” or “male/female” counterparts. Tezcatlipoca is just another version of Quetzalcoatl. See Shiva and Vishnu. Zeus and Hades. Etc.

Some people would think that the Creeper being a god worshipped by the Aztecs makes no sense because he is a hunter in the films, but I think the Creeper had to adapt to his situations because there were no more worshippers after the Spanish arrived. Sure he likes to feed on fear, but just because those young men who we're sacrificed considered it an honor doesn't mean they weren't afraid deep down. I personally would like to watch a film that expressed this idea.
He is a hunter but I do think that when some of its body parts are missing, it desperately hunts someone with or without fear. The only time it hunts for fun is when he has no severed limbs.
The comics state that they were still scared shitless when being offered up to sacrifice even if some of them had “honor” like it says it legit also says some wouldn’t even want to walk up the steps because of how scared they were but still had to go through with it, either way they had fear in them in some way shape or form, like are you shitting me look again that thing and it patiently waiting to eat you, I don’t think any human being would be “honored” even if the comics claim it, that’s bs
Honestly the origins of the creeper as some Aztec dragon doesn't make any sense when compared to the first movie. The creeper is a HUNTER not something you make sacrifices to keep it at bay. It likes the thrill of the hunt and has characteristics of a sadistic maniac. Offering yourself to the creeper is the complete opposite of what it wants. In the first movie,Trish tried giving her life for her brother's but the creeper still chose Darry because he loved the fear he smelt in him. The creeper doesn't want to be catered to, he wants to terrorize you...
In my opinion, I think that’s just how the Aztecs interpreted him. Also, I wonder if the creepers psyche was different then. maybe he just went crazier and crazier throughout the years.
It very well could be that. Over time the creeper would lose a free food source since no one is worshipping him after a bit. Life adjusts to the circumstances around it
I've seen the first two countless times. It literally just occured to me.....I was wondering if the writer took inspiration from Stephen King. The brothers name is Darry. Kind of like Derry, Maine. Both creatures feed off fear and show up every 20+ years.
Yes, both writers are speaking on the same species that has targeted humanity for centuries, by science they are known as the Draconians, religion calls them Demons, & myth calls them Vampires 💎

Good theory 😳!! At first glance. But when you remember the story of Cain, when God cursed Cain, Cain was distraught, telling God, that because of his sin (killing his brother Abel), everyone else on Earth would now be trying to kill HIM & how could God release him into the world where he would be forever be a fugitive, having to always look over his shoulder. Then God said: "I'll put a mark on you so people will know not to mess with you & if anyone does, they'll have to deal with Me." So, I said all that to say, given that the Creeper's powers alone make him invincible, he doesn't need a mark to protect him from anyone else. In fact, everyone else needs to be protected from HIM. It wouldn't make for a✌🏾punishment ✌🏾for God to GIVE Cain power AFTER he committed a sin as opposed to stripping him of power.
@@dominiquedevereux7205 I took some creative liberties with Cain's origin and fused the Creeper with some vampire lore. It's more mysterious and scary if we don't know his origin.
@@MrHeavy466 I guess I'm of a different mindset. That's why I was PISSED 🤬 at "Jeepers Creepers 3" cuz they led us to believe we were finally gonna get the Creepers origins when that lady in the film touched The Creeper's knife & was having visions of his past, but te writers never had her share what she saw with the audience. And "Halloween 🎃 🔪 6: The Curse of Michael Myers" is really the ONLY Halloween I like because we're given an origin for Michael. And ironically, that's the main reason most other people hate it. For some reason, people like the idea of him being this mindless, unmethodical killer when his actions prove exactly the opposite as evidenced by how he purposely stalks his victims. In fairness, he was written, according to John Carpenter to be the mindless, indiscriminate physical incarnation of Evil. BUT ☝🏾, that formula only worked for the 1st Halloween cuz it was supposed to be a 1-off film as Carpenter intended the "Halloween 🎃" series to be an anthology series & every installment 2B about an entirely different topic related to the holiday. The 1st entry into the franchise was supposed to be the ONLY 1 featuring Michael. The minute Carpenter & Debra Hill decided to appease the studio's desire for a sequel 2 cash 💵🤲🏻 in on, they should have established a solid mythos for Michael. Instead, the only fact they established for Michael is that he & Laurie were siblings, but still never explained why he was intent on killer her --- yet, he never killed his parents. Then next thing you know, you got Halloween 4 & 5 --- and only-God-Knows how many other franchises --- which were ALL OVER the place. And those installments are the main reason why I find it a sign of lazy writing when a writer(s) fails, or purposely chooses to establish an origin/mythos for their universe or main protagonist because then it allows the writers to just make shyte up as they go to suit the purposes of giving the script the outcome the studio wants without having to explain how there are incontinuities throughout the entire movie/franchise/book. It's a classic loophole trick of not being specific of the protagonists or story's motivations so that IF they wanna come back 1yr or 2yrs to 2 DECADES later and revive the series, they can "pick up" with no problem 👌🏾 and make the story go in whatever direction they want it to without having to make it make sense & they can claim they're not contradicting their previous entries because they never established a baseline in thec1st place. Ever since I was a child, I've never been satisfied with responses that begin & end with "Just because," or "That's just how it is 🤷🏼!" I like 2 know HOW did this come to be? ; WHY this character does what they do? Knowing those things makes the rest of the events of the story make sense without the writer even having to give exposition on the events because already being aware of a character's motivations will clue you in to logical conclusion for their motivations. In addition, NOBODY does anything for "no reason." Even a seemingly single-minded, zombie-esque killer like Michael has a motive for what he does, even if that reason is as simple as the answer to biological organisms eat --- because we're hungry. Or are simple explanations just SEEMINGLY "simple"? Cuz you can take that question farther & ask well "WHY do we get hungry?" And then even further & say: "Well WHY does THAT reason CAUSE us to get hungry?" & so on & so forth. Cuz people love to explain why they do things, & when they don't know or don't want to DIVULGE why they do what they do or like/dislike certain things, then they just say: "I like 'such & such' JUST BECAUSE" when we know as a basic law of physics that "Every cause has a reaction." Therefore, INVERSELY, every reaction has a cause." So what i'm saying to you is "mystery" only holds its allure for so long ---- for as long as the seeker of the mystery is promised that the mystery will 1 day be revealed. You keep anybody chasing a mystery too long without any pay off of revelation, eventually the seeker is gonna stop seeking & just throw their hands up & say "F🖕🏾CK IT 🤷🏾♂️!"
What sets The Creeper apart from other horror monsters/villains is the fact that The Creeper is given 23 days to eat after 23 years of hibernation. Unlike a vampire, he doesn’t utilize the skill sets or memories of his victims because they serve as food and spare parts. The Creeper and the creatures in the film The Beastmaster are definitely something you don’t want to encounter on a dark night or on a remote stretch of road during the day. The Creeper knows what he wants and he will get it. This is why I think The Creeper is unique.
I’ve learned so much about this horror creature: it has no concrete origin, he has superhuman physiology, has lived since the beginning of human existence, has a “twisted healing factor” in which he has to consume the body part of his human victim that of which he lost (an eye for an eye), he possesses wall-crawling capabilities, and toys with his victims before sacrificing them to himself
I think what everyone is forgetting is that creeper terrorized his victims to season them to see who had what “he wants” the first two movies are excellent examples of his personality. This definitely should of been the plot to the movie 😅it makes since they summoned a demon and not a god as such the complications of rituals that include sacrifices or scarification, it’s really conjuring and necromancy at the end of the day. Almost perfect depiction of equation for complete chaos. He’s very particular😮and he’s an artist at that, I really wanted to know how the spiritual side of what he does when consuming pieces of humans body parts, brains organs etc creating a two sided door possibly actually works, 🚨I also didn’t know he had a desperate feral state where the creature would also consume animals, I don’t remember Him killing the horses or cattle whatever of the films. Notice this also takes place in Ronoak too SPOOKY. It also sucks when the creeper is infatuated with the victim as he relentlessly hunts them down and then your aPart of him forever and it’s so awful you serve him in death 😮😮😮
I'll need to find myself some copies of this. The Creeper is one of my favorite horror movie monsters and getting more background about them is what I've been looking for.
I always thought that the Creeper was a cursed man, maybe even a cursed holy man from the Medieval times. He would eventually be the basis of the concept of gargoyles and that the churches built them as warnings
Yes that’s what the creator says in the behind the scenes of the 2nd film. A cursed man…I always thought the characters that had the visions were descendants of the ones who cursed him and were telling them how to kill him for good
I just assumed the Creeper was a demon of some kind that's always been around. Oddly, as a writer, I had reached out to Untied Artists back in the mid '00s and offered to write a prequel to the original film completely free of charge. I really enjoyed the first film and found the subsequent film to be rather meh. However, at that time, they told me that a they had already lost the rights to the film (or something along those lines) and that was that. A few years later I had spoken to a few Directors about my idea for a prequel and one of them told me it would be a perfect prequel, however, with the rights belonging to another company, it would be the long shot of long shots. Just recently, I've decided to rewrite it under a different name and lore. :)

Really hate people abusing the term cannibal. A cannibal is when an individual of a species devours its own kind. Seeing as how the creeper is NOT human he is not cannibalistic, he is in fact a man eater.
The connection between those he kills and the limbo type place his victims dwell shows he is could be a dark God who enters and rules over his kingdom filled with those victims for 23 years before he leaves the realm for 23 days to feed and grow his kingdom. When he leaves his kingdom/dimension and returns to the human realm some of his former victims are able to do as well like we see I the 2nd film as victims from the first film are seen trying to warn the kids on the school bus and since those on the bus have no knowledge about and who they were we have to assume they followed the creeper back to the human realm. Also the boy from the first film is warning them at the same time the creeper is about to throw his belly button throwing star at the bus tire. The question is does the creeper know they are tagging along or not. Also when the film shows the barn were the creeper is nailed up it's clear the body is completely separate from the mind and also we saw the time limit he has so he isn't choosing to hunt for 23 days every 23 years but that's his punishment and all the time he gets no matter if he likes it or not.
Anybody who watched the behind the scenes of the Creepers movies knows the creator told us he was once human that was cursed and turn into that but nice storyline though
I had a similar idea. I thought he was a serial killer who made some kinda deal with the devil for immortality and the sleeping 23 years and only getting 23 days consuming people was the trade off. I always thought he was human once tho. He has way too serial killer characteristics.
@@naegleriafowleri2230 The first human to sin and is doomed to walk the earth for eternity huh🤔. Maybe but I doubt Cain would have so many creepy serial killer qualities.
My theory is that the Creeper is one of the child of Typhon n Echina, the first monsters of Greek mythology and parents of all monsters. Or he's a fallen angel
If Creeper is immortal, why disguise himself as a human when traveling? Nothing can kill it so why fear being seen as it is? Does it disguise itself because there is something that can kill it? A bigger predator, but not Predator.
Think of it like a vampire... Vampires would try to blend in so nobody begins to investigate or hunt them even if they are immortal. It would be easier just to fly down in the dead of night and capture a victim without anybody knowing... Maybe the Creeper like the vampire was once human, and they both understand humans are still predators and can be a threat if they show up armed with massive numbers.
As far as we know he is immortal but not invulnerable. He can be crippled with enough damage and for following that logic, captured. It may be easier to fly down and get a few people here and there but sooner or later it'll draw too much attention and modern firepower will get involved
Yeah in the movies it literally gets its head blown off, its legs mangled and forcing it to crawl, sustaining enough injury to spit up it's own blood, and then it even gets stuck to the wall in a barn. So while it can't be killed, it can be severely hindered. The comic itself even showed that it was brazen enough to attack a village in the past, so it seems to be smart enough or aware enough of the world that it knows it can be given trouble.
Always wondered what would happen if, when hibernating, the Creeper was thrown into molten metal (like in T2) or into a lava? Would it totally melt away or somehow form a hardened coccon to save itself?
I would have his backstory as he was one of the FALLEN ANGELS from the Bible would was bound and chained under the Euphrates rivers who escapes. Now that’s a better backstory
I live in Ocala, Florida where most of the movie was filmed and it is kinda funny once I realized that driving those roads at night barely checking my mirrors for anything unusual…
I don't believe the creature is immortal. It is in terms of aging since it lives off of body parts and humans. I do believe that it can be killed though and that the people in the comics and movies haven't been attacking the actual creeper itself but just it's exoskeleton. I like the idea of it being just a parasite because it'd make sense. A parasite that feeds off of humans to extend its lifespan
They should make this into a horror game, survive 23days. Twist, -You're the monster, -Your health slowly deplete, -You need to consume human to gain health back. -If detected by human, gain suspension stars, -More stars, triggers monster hunt. -Max stars, triggers all out monster hunt, -auto saved file, fails reset to day 1. -Suspension stars NEVER reset. -Hard reset required to removes Stars.
From my understanding the creeper wakes up every 23 years to replenish his body from decay . I think it’s his curse . I think the only way for him to die is for him to just give up . Stop eating and just starve to death .honestly I thought he might be the first demon but betreyed the devil and got sentence to walk the earth for 23 days but he will sleep for 23 year . Maybe he’s trying to break his curse . What if when he fully healed from being a sleep for so long he would finally be free of his curse . Just a fan theory
No joke….my friend ginelle worked on the first film as costume design. She told me the design aesthetic they were directed to design was supposed to be gargoyle looking.
Creeper captured movie 2. 1. Build huge concrete mold, 20x20x20. 2. Purchase a dozen yards of concrete. 3. Begin pour and about a 1/3 in lay and support Creeper. Continue pour until complete. Wait until concrete fully sets. 4. Encase concrete tomb with pig iron plate. 5. Take tomb and bury it deep. End of Creeper.
Jeepers Creepers vs Jason would be a dope ass storyline for a 1 of 1 series. I like the idea of slashers/scary movie villains entering the same storyline
The comic recreated the Creeper after the movies jumped the shark with the 3rd movie. The 1st & 2nd left the reality that, upon noticing every detail of each movie, that the creature is that winged hunch on its back... the rest of it is a meat puppet of assimilated parts that create the humanoid body. That implied it could be killed once you figured out which parts of it are not extremely replaceable. By the 3rd movie, it was just a generic flying demon.

I theorized that the Creeper was either a human/dragon hybrid, or he was just a full on Dragon. So I’m glad to see that the Creeper was considered a Dragon in ancient times.
Before we know it was an Aztec demon God which is kinda cool in my opinion, I thought he was like a Dark Prince cursed with hunger by a witch or demon or something!
The third movie also touched on that fact that those consumed stay with the creeper when the son of the old lady came talk to her, and that explains why when the creeper was near on the first and second the souls could contact anyone near with some kind clairvoyance power, even if it was dorment, like Minxie on the second.
He never really got justice in any of the movies. The first one was decent but none of them really delve into him or what he might be. They just put him in scenarios where people have to try to survive him. The movies are such low budget that relying on action scenes to see the character makes it look goofy and hard to take him seriously. They’d be better off having the characters try to figure out what he is, or showing his behavior when he’s not hunting people.
Why didn't they make this story into a movie? It would have been so interesting and way better than the third and fourth movies. If they wanted to they could definitely make this comic story even better for a movie format. I'm surprised they still haven't done an origin movie since it seems like common sense.
This is an interesting look into the monsters past. But personally i am still left with questions. What exactly is the Creeper? How can it use modern objects like vehicles? If it indeed uses human beings for for spare parts can it actually be killed? Where did the Creeper come from? How long has it been alive? Just to name a few.
From the video, I gathered it is indeed the serpent dragon god and has been around since the beginning of man. It is intelligent and has learned over time the ways of humans. Now, can it be killed? That I’m not sure of, especially with it being immortal already. But severely damaged? Absolutely.

Maybe so.
@@UndeadGunslinger1997 I just wonder who the real Creepers are?
@@erinmccutcheon3751
Well, answer to this question can only be given by director. But if look carefully at the first two films, find in them hints and illusions laid down by Victor Salva, then I can say that Darry actually is the real Creepers, or rather what he will transform in the future.
@@erinmccutcheon3751 cannibal holocaust reference?
I think that’s getting too deep into the mythology when really it should never have been Quetzalcoatl in the first place. Oh well.
Or tapioca
Any tribe that adheres to the teachings of a pantheon of deities makes sure to revere these deities as interchangeable as they have “light/dark” or “male/female” counterparts. Tezcatlipoca is just another version of Quetzalcoatl. See Shiva and Vishnu. Zeus and Hades. Etc.

@@PaPaPowell07 yes after the writer and director victor salva was exposed for being a convicted sex offender the studio decided to reboot the franchise without him being involved
The Creeper was created by a real life creeper.
last 2? there are only 3.
Life adjusts to the circumstances around it
Not just that, the creeper heavily feeds of the fear of people. The more afraid the person the more tastier they are it seems.
@@Loganstillman Also may have decided since noone was offering it he was strong too just take it, along with discovering fear makes humans tastier.
Smelt is a fish. Smelled is the past tense of smell. Other than that, I agree with you.
So if the creeper eats you then your soul is stuck in limbo. That’s scary.
You ever hear that dreams basically connected to limbo..so we are all basically already in a type of limbo but the only difference is limbo is alot longer duration of stay..

Maybe the Creeper is Cain from the Old Testament: wandering the Earth forever, consuming the flesh of his children, etc.
This is the most likely theory
Think about it like this, you don’t notice the passage of time when you’re sleeping. To him, he sleeps/ then wakes with new body parts and hungry.
Interesting, it's so true
The creeper and penny wise have the same sleep cycle and feeding habits if I’m not mistaken

Oddly, as a writer, I had reached out to Untied Artists back in the mid '00s and offered to write a prequel to the original film completely free of charge. Really hate people abusing the term cannibal. A cannibal is when an individual of a species devours its own kind. Seeing as how the creeper is NOT human he is not cannibalistic, he is in fact a man eater.
This comic showed a hint on how to kill the creeper at the expense of oneself the connection he was hurt when the boy was hurt.

My theory is that the Creeper is one of the child of Typhon n Echina, the first monsters of Greek mythology and parents of all monsters. Or he's a fallen angel
I like this.. this theory is vastly underrated
We all know what its hiding from... the SCP foundation.

Unstoppable, implacable evil of unknown origin
Absolutely.
@@BlackstarSI Okay but while the creeper is powerful and was indeed worshipped by indigenous peoples. I do not think it is a god in the literal sense. Otherwise it could not be harmed or need to regenerate. Nor would it have been able to be restrained in the last film.
Gargoyles, the 70s movie... just putting that out there...
I used to love this series but ever since I found out what the director did I couldn't watch it the same .
Is it in insane that I now want to crossover between the creeper and the Darkness? I believe that would be an awesome battle to see
The darkness would have been a great comic book if the darklings were manifestations of the people that Jackie killed. And they were torment him until he a toned for murdering them.
I'm glad this isn't canon. The creeper being some kind of dragon is what I expect from a superhero origin story.
The Creeper has been around a lot longer than the Aztecs and has been in many cultures influencing them.
From the best movies ever ✨💎✨💎
lore is my interest, and this page is what i like.
Creeper vs Predator Yes!!!!!!!!!!! Do it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dat horn hunting waz spooky
Way to post your real thoughts and opinions, candid. I feel like I can learn a lot from each poke TH-camr. Not that I trust a lot.. I watch typically 3 other people outside of you. I invested HEAVILY in cases of ETBs for hidden fates.. I’m financially secure to hold on them for awhile. But again, I appreciate your honest opinions on future buyer opinions and the time it takes to truly see the fruits of of time in holding investments. I see Hidden Fates being one of the Catalyst of this. Best to you and your time it takes to post videos ✌️
Even the creator of the character has no idea what his origins are 🤣🤣
i think if they did a better job of letting people know they were realisng jeeper creepers comics i would have bought them lol i had no idea till i seen your video or maybe im really dense and just missed out probably the dense part hahaha great vid btw
I can't get into Jeeper's Creepers because the creator is an actual creeper
Yeah I know the feeling definitely will never watch his movies again
What did he do? Is he a creeper in real life or something?
@@aaronrodden8121 look it up
I think the creeper would be a great battle against the thing
I didn’t know J Creepers had a comic where can I buy it?
I hope they come out with a series that goes deeper into his origins since he supposed to be since the beginning of time
I saw them on Amazon kindle.
This was inspired by a true story of a guy that killed his wife and was disposing of her at an abandon school. A couple driving by saw it happen and the dude followed them.
Creeper was also inspired by Spring Heeled Jack
Nah only that opening scene was inspired by that but not the actual creeper
I wanna see the Predator face the Creeper
Well, ironically a predator created the story.
See the fan made video and comic
Imagine pumpkinhead vs Creeper
