Shalom Blessings !!! Thanks so so so much im a beginner started last year on my own, self taught and im going to try this and my goal is one day play in the nsg homes and hospitals. These are my favorite hyms thanks so much love always my sister in Christ
I just released the updated score! It now includes a G Major set for 25+ strings AND a bonus C Major set for 19+ strings. The C Major set will be lovely for those playing a small double strung harp!
Where will you be playing your set of hymns? Church, a nursing home? I'd love to know. And do you like the idea of having two versions (with and without fingering)? These pieces are perfect for developing confidence with solving your own fingering and brackets!
Hi, Anne, I just purchased these along with a couple of your other hymn arrangements and am excited to learn them! I notice that In this video, you play many low-G's, and the music you show even has those notated in the bass octave, so I intend to play those lower notes as you do on my larger harps. Once I purchased your revised score, I realized that you moved all the low LH notes up an octave, which, as you point out, is so that these may be played on a 25-string harp, so I've penciled in where you play them lower in the video. Thank you so much for making all these wonderful arrangements!
Came across your channel while looking for hymns for harp. These pieces are so peaceful and beautiful! Just subscribed 🙂 I'm sure your channel will be very useful as our little girl recently started learning harp.
Beautiful! (I am ordering right now). I really hope you will continue to include brackets and fingerings. As a beginner, it will make learning so much easier. I hope to play these in both an assisted living center and eventually in the worship service at my church. Be Thou My Vision and This Is My Father's World are two of my absolute favorites. Thanks so much for these lovely arrangements!
Janet Myrick Thank you! I have been working on categorizing my music this week and feel the need to arrange more elementary pieces like this. I love creating resources that fully support beginners with fingering, brackets, comfortable patterns and attractive page layout.
Thank you, Anne for these 5 lovely hymns. i have bought the harp scores to your 5 easy hymns. The chapter markers and the 2 versions are indeed helpful for my learning moments. These 5 hymns are very neat and useful for my ministry with the elderlies, hospital and homebound visitations. Could I just make 2 requests? 1. please continue to produce harp lessons/harp scores for 25 string harps. I cannot afford a big harp and small harps are more portable for ministry use. 2. I like your intro and outros to these 5 hymns. Is it possible for you to forward the music notations just for these 5 easy hymns. They are so lovely. Thank you. Blessings Rev Peter Goh (Retired)
Wonderful-I’m hoping to start playing for some nursing home residents soon, and these are perfect! Also, thank you for for making them small-harp friendly. The fingerings and brackets are always helpful, but it will be good practice to write in my own and compare against your suggestions.
Heidi Horner That’s wonderful! I was really trying to create a practical resource for use in nursing homes, hospital and church. Comfortable and flexible for a variety of levels and uses. Enjoy 🎶💕
Thank you for adding the fingerings and brackets. I'm still a beginner and it removes some variables! I look forward to playing at nursing homes and assisted living facilities - but I am a loooooong way from being able to play in public!
I love these pieces and would like to play them. I'm new to the harp (and somewhat new to music theory) and have a Rees Harpsicle which has no levers. Since you thoughtfully provided versions which require no lever changes during the songs, how can I tune my harp from C Major to G Major so that I can play them? Thanks! :-)
One additional comment - I would like to create a set-list for playing at the nursing home - maybe a list (or example) of 10 or 20 pieces to put together would be an idea for a YT video? I need beginner-friendly, pretty, and slow tempo!
Hi Anne I purchased this collection and have enjoyed it so far. I just finished learning and playing “Amazing Grace.” As I watched this video to help me decide which piece to practice next, I noticed that my copies of your music which I downloaded don’t include the intro arpeggios or chords for the hymns that you play on these videos. How can I get the music for the introductions to the other hymns in this collection ? “Grace” had an intro, but the other pieces don’t. They really add to the music. Thanks
Anne, I purchased this a while back from Discovery - nice arrangements - looking forward to using it ... but question: you wrote "Use the Intro and Ending chord progression suggestions to help you further embellish each piece." Where are those? My PDF just has the song ...
Anne, it would be a great idea (I think anyway) to add an mp3 of each piece of music for us who use ForScore to load and pair with the sheet music so we can play along with you.
birdwood P That is a really good idea and I do have mp3s for each piece. But it actually makes the download delivery more complicated for people because I have to zip the files. I tried it earlier in the summer and I had too many people getting stuck with dealing with the zipped folder. I’ll give it some thought for sure!
I downloaded the music today. May I suggest that you offer a choice of fingering or not for the download? A lot of printing. I have decided to play one song as written and then repeat it with some embellished left hand. I do like your interludes and am going to try that also. Thank you!
Anne Wiens Oh good, I’m glad to hear you are adding your own creative embellishments. When you print you could specify just the pages you want to use to save on ink and paper. Or even delete pages completely from your PDF.
I love your arrangements and lessons, however I am concerned about the bookkeeping of your associates. I have ordered this group of songs ("5 EASY HYMNS harp music by Anne Crosby Gaudet" before, yet when I went to the log on page using my email [old and new addresses], I was not recognized, and received a message no one listed by either address. I've ordered several scores before, but had to pay $12 for this set of songs again. I don't understand why this is happening.
Hi Anne! I noticed that your face is a bit blurry in many of your videos. Wondering if you are doing it on purpose? ;) If it's not maybe trying to make the aperture of your camera a bit smaller so that it has wider focus range?

Best wishes to you as you work toward your goal of playing in a nursing home. Simple is beautiful on the harp!

I love having fingered and non fingered pages! Then I can play as written and with other, can make my own embelishment.
Sounds like you are making good use of both options!
I don't know how I ended up here but Anne your music and content are awesome! It's so peaceful! ❤
Glad you enjoy it!

Thank you for subscribing, I'm so glad you enjoyed the music. Best wishes to your daughter as she learns the harp.
Definitely keep the fingerings in please, I find it very useful.
trb10 Great! Thanks for the feedback. 🎶💕
You have played yet another of my favourites this week, all the hymns are lovely, but Be Thou My Vision has always been special for me.
Reeldin 58 Aw I’m so glad there is a special one in there for you 🎶💕
😍 Wow Anne, these are all gorgeous. I can’t wait to download them tonight. Love the idea of two versions, with and without fingering. thanks so much
Just purchased lovely job... I appreciate on your webshop that double strung harp pdfs are a different color icon... well planned.
Outstanding! I think this is a great idea! I want to learn to play harp, and specifically stuff like this.
Wonderful! I hope you do!

Take a close look at the very beginning and end of each piece, you'll see the chord symbol suggestions for creating intros and endings.

Hi Lynn, I just took a look at your account and I can see that your last name was typed incorrectly (Phimsouthaam). I just fixed that for you. - Anne
